I celebrated my 50th birthday at AJs. Everyone had a fantastic time, the atmosphere was great the food was excellent with plenty to go round. The house band where great got us all up dancing. Couldn’t have wished for a better venue to celebrate thank you to Angela and the team for all their hard work making it a special night.

Spent New Year’s Eve at AJs. Brilliant band, a great atmosphere. Food is very nice also and a good selection of beers. Very friendly staff. I’d thoroughly recommend AJs bar for a great night out in Heswall

Great jam night here once a week on a Thursday. The standard is really good so had a brilliant time here last night. With the hosts Andy and Jackie setting the pace the night just got better and better. Matt I think followed (sorry if I got your name wrong) with some great material - A Day In the Life - you don't hear that attempted very often - and what a voice! Later the The Shed Brothers turned up and rocked the night out. Apparently the foods pretty good too so I'll have to return another day. Highly recommended.

Can’t believe I’ve only just found AJs!!! What a lovely chilled bar with friendly family ran staff. My partner and I had a lovely night listening to live music. Well priced, loads to offer. Will be a weekly drop in for sure.

Superb food. Great range of small plates to pick and mix. So many cocktails, gins and whiskies to choose from and live entertainment. Special gem in the heart of Heswall.

Just had a delicious lunch here today. Went with my son and we both had panini's which were delicious. I loved the tea served in a small china teapot with china cup and saucer. It seems to make the tea taste better. We then had lemon drizzle cake and toasted tea-cake for dessert. Really really yummy and loved the small things like bowl of salad with the panini and fresh berries with the cake. The choice of drinks at the bar is incredible, from Rums, Gins and all other spirits to beers and wines etc. Fabulous little place would highly recommend visiting. Also very Covid safe with lots of hand sanitiser and everywhere very clean, staff wearing face coverings, brilliant.

Took my family including 3 generations on the bank holiday. We had a lovely tea with delicious cakes. It was covid safe which was essential as my father was dining indoors which he doesn't usually do now. Lovely service thanks AJs

Excellent lunch with fresh sandwiches, tea and coffee. Tried one of the crepes from their Boogaloo menu which was delicious. Lovely menu with freshly made sandwiches, salad garnish and tea served in lovely bone china, reminiscent of the days when tea shops were an experience not just a pit stop. All in the lovely Gatsby style surroundings of AJs.

Husband and I had a gorgeous afternoon tea with a glass of Prosecco at AJs in Heswall this afternoon. We were asked if we'd like the Prosecco before, with or after the food, so opted for before. The sandwiches were freshly made while we enjoyed our fizz and the food was beautifully presented on a glass cake stand. Sandwiches were tuna mayo & cucumber, ham with tomato & mustard, cheese & chutney and egg. The cake selection was iced carrot cake, meringue with fresh fruit and cream, homemade French fancy (definitely not Mr Kipling, they were huge!) and scones with butter, jam and cream, plus fresh fruit decoration. We couldn't finish it all but the uneaten cakes were boxed up for us to bring home. The coffee was served in individual cafetières and was very good. The other cakes on offer also looked very tasty. Highly recommended.

Mum and I stopped off for a pot of tea and scone yesterday and it was thoroughly enjoyable, service was impeccable and the safety measures in place were very reassuring indeed, we’ll definitely be back!

My wife arranged a suprise visit to AJ's for afternoon tea on my 70th birthday. It was our first visit and we were greeted in the most friendly and welcoming way. Two tables had been laid out, with appropriate social distancing, to accommodate us and our daughter. A celebratory balloon identified our table along with a charming table reservation sign. We had chosen afternoon tea and ordered a very enjoyable bottle of Prosecco. The food was evcellent and the service was attentive and personable. We will return in the near future, possibly to enjoy one or more of the large selection of gins. I can strongly recommend a visit to AJ's.

Just out of Lockdown AJs was incredibly welcoming......The coffee was excellent and the cream scones delicious. We're looking forward to returning of an evening when there's live music....whenever that will be.

We have just enjoyed the perfect end to the week (and lockdown of restaurants) at AJ's in Heswall (above the TUI Holiday Shop/Joy card shop). By day AJ's is a tea rooms and we enjoyed our hot drinks including a luxury white hot chocolate and the freshest strawberry milkshake on the planet, with an assortment of delicious cakes and waffles - all served to the table by the nicest, friendliest hosts imaginable. Never been there before but if you like you afternoon tea, cakes etc then this is a must for you and check this out - by night AJ's becomes a gin bar! The had literally every type of gin you could think of - AJ's we'll be back!!! (If you know... you know!) Thanks AJ's it's been a long, long time since we were treated so well!!
