Airport Road Cafe in Antrim

Arrived at 1320 on 29 July. Asked whether it was table service or not and I was given a menu and told that my order would be taken by the waitress. I sat down and waited until 1335 but nobody bothered to take my order. The table I sat at was dirty from a previous customer and the table opposite was also dirty with plates left on it while I was there. I gave up and left and went to eat in Antrim town instead. Either this restaurant needs to hire better staff or more staff as it was filthy and nobody could be bothered to take a customer's order.

Filthy dirty entrance floor black with dirt sticky tables Slimey floors and no idea if self service or table service waited for ages apparently table service the place is disgusting service poor and slow vents are gross and tables sticky we left as didn’t want to eat in such a dirty dump never to return just disgusting hygiene rating 4 debatable if I’m honest

Was in this morning food lovely waitresses seemed like they hadn't woke up yet one girl with glasses seemed to be doing everything while the to other ladies stood talking to one an other as she was clearing tables and serving customers I'm also a waitress and don't like to see this happen

woeful experience sat for 20 mins waiting to be served staff had no interest especially the older 1 who couldn't stop yawning we go up and left

We had a bad experience here due to the poor waitress service. We ordered one chicken stack with side order of cross cut potatoes for myself and one smokie joe loaded potatoes (chips) for my husband. When the order arrived it was incorrect - the waitress brought my husband a wrap with chips. The waitress took it away and a different waitress brought the loaded potaoes with cross cuts potatoes for my husband and a chicken stack with chips for me. When I told her it was still incorrect she lifted the portion of chips and walked off. Another waitress then arrived with the cross cut potatoes for me but did not get my husband his correct order! We just decided to eat the food we had been given as we were really hungry by then. The food was okay but the poor service ruined it for us. Also, it was quite expensive for a cafe but plenty of choice on the menu. Would have enjoyed it much better if we had got what we ordered in the first place!

Grub ok seats comfortable BUT I couldn’t resist commenting THE CHAIR NOISES rather a single chair Friction on the floor surface is equivalent to the ROAR OF AN ELEPHANT no exaggeration 🫤 Wear your noise cancelling head gear.

Always a lovely atmosphere, friendly staff & the food is always fantastic 🙌🏻 the best breakfast menu in or around Crumlin. My family have been coming here for years and will continue to do so!

Stopped for food, it looked amazing but it really was terrible, it was 5pm, overcooked/ reheated??, chips and salad was edible

Staff are lovely here - portion sizes excellent - easy parking - handy to garage next door - worth a visit

Katrina makes an excellent cappuccino - felt so safe as place so clean and windows open to keep all safe . All the staff lovely and so helpful .

Visited recently, as cafes etc have started to open again. Place didn’t give the impression of being very clean. Old food on the seats at our table put me off right away.

We eat here regularly, and have never had a bad meal or had bad service. Good normal food. The carvery is fantastic.

Hidden gem in Antrim. Rd side cafe with alot of potential. Freshly made Chicken gougons (no grease), along side with garlic mushrooms. The presentation is what you expect in a top restaurant. Staff 1st class ladies and tell you how it is, straight talk, class.. Definitely worth a stop value for money here..

I'd read the reviews for this cafe, and felt I had to try it for myself! The service is welcoming and friendly, and nothing ws too much trouble. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. I wanted to go back and try everything on the menu! It was very reasonably priced too. I thoroughly recommend a visit

the airport prices are ridiculous call here for great food great staff great service and great prices.So many dishes to choose from all beautiful so why not stop by and try this for yourself.

We were on our way home from Antrim and we would stop at the Airport Road Cafe anytime we are up that way, so this time we stopped and we always find the service friendly and quick to take your order and it was quick in coming to our table. The meal was amazing, in fact the portions were big, and we couldn't finish it but were given boxes to take what meat we couldn't eat home with us.

Discovered Randals Airport Road Cafe on Saturday 3rd August 2019, had no idea it existed before then. My wife and I had left our daughter off at the Airport to return to University in Liverpool, and on the way back down what we call 'the Airport Road' - actually Tully Road - we turned in to the Petrol Station on the left, and there we found one of the best Cafe's for fresh, hot wholesome food we have encountered for a long long time.We were immediately shown to a quiet, private dinning box, with an immaculately clean table and condiments, and given a menu. There was a lot of choice on the menu, but all we required was a couple of Ulster Frys, and a hot mug of tea.The food arrived in good time; was well cooked and presented; and to crown it all off, the price, when we received the bill, was really CHEAP. What a joy!Anyone travelling to Belfast Internatonal Airport goes there with a predestined frown at what they are going to have to pay for basic food - can you spell exhorbitant? Ridiculus prices have made the Belfast International Airport experience a very real bummer. BUT, now we know about Randal's Cafe - our travelling to and from Belfast International Airport will be a much more pleasant, enjoyable experience indeed.Well done, Randal's Cafe - you guys are GREAT for Northern Ireland travel!

Won a competition on face book for a full breakfast with tea for two. This place is also known as Randal's having arrived we were shown to our table by a lovely young waitress and she gave us the menu we then told her we had won the breakfast's and she went and got us our two full fries and tea we also had a refill of our tea. My husband and I couldn't finish as it was a full plate of food which was really well cooked and presented. It was delicious and would certainly go back and recommend it to friends and family. The owner came out to speak to us before we left she was very friendly. We will certainly be going back.

On way to Airport call in to Petrol station to fill up and as we were very early for our flight decided to have a breakfast in the café next door to the filling station order a big breakfast for myself (should be called bellybuster), my wife had the small breakfast both were delicious and very filling the cafe itself was spotless and the staff were very polite and efficient. Would recommend to anyone (also serve lunch).

Had Sunday set menu, 3 courses, carvery, excellent food and the carvery was one of the best I have tasted. Choice of meats and you can have 3 slices of either. Was busy, so best to book if you are having Sunday lunch. Area kept clean by the waitresses, pleasant and helpful, ours, Elaine was superb (give her a rise) Not licensed, but you can bring your own drink at no extra cost.Know this as also Randals Restaurant.

We've driven past here weekly for many years and now we're sorry we did! Our first visit and we were greeted by friendly staff on a cold miserable day! Hubby ordered the big fry while I opted for the smaller version. Our order arrived quickly and was tasty and non greasy. Generous portions and properly cooked. A very definite reason to return!

Ordered a vegetarian breakfast. Mushrooms were dreadful, Tomato had a weird taste, I had to ask for the hash brown which had been fried to a crisp. Soda and Potato bread a fraction of the size of that on a full fry. A portion of oily onions did nothing to enhance the meal.Friendly service, nice venue. Shame about the food.

Stopped here for breakfast when staying nearby and before hitting the road for the day. Wished we'd gone elsewhere. Both of us ordered the Ultimate Breakfast which promised cereal or porridge, orange juice, a small fry-up, toast with jam, and tea/coffee for £7.50. What a bargain, we thought. No wonder it's so cheap when there's no orange juice, no jam, no cereal option, and the worst porridge-turned-slop you could wish to have. Yuck. Fry-up was OK (soda bread not the best), and service was haphazard and abrupt. Maybe it's just because we weren't regulars or locals.

We come here often. The staff are friendly and the menu is always good. It always is clean and well kept. Toilets are always clean and its a relaxed atmosphere in here.

As located handy beside (A26) road near Airport (Belfast Int) it was easy for short stop & cleaning windows before continuing our journey by car. Combined with car service station & coffee shop & costcutter it was very easy to get some small needed.

£8 for a burger I thought was rather steep.. but spotting blue mound on my bun as I was about to attack it was a greater shock.. so bread discarded I tried the burger and dressing.. still getting value from it now due to the indigestion..avoid Daff.. but then you would wouldn’t you..

Called in for something to eat after picking my mum up from the airport, not our first time in here and never had a bad fed in here.

we drive past the cafe often on our travels from/to home particular weekends away.We find the cafe has an excellent menu for whatever time of day, last Monday was no exception. Staff are very efficient, pleasant and the food of a high standard and very good value for money.Supervised by the boss!!!!!Highly recommended and, sunday lunch, breakfast - fabWill be back soon

The Airport Café is a firm favourite with our fussy eater. We have never had a bad meal here. Breakfasts, lunches and the Sunday Carvery have all been tried and tested. Staff are welcoming and friendly, service is superb, great variety on the menu, the food is really tasty and the portions are huge.

Perfect for breakfast, lunch or just coffee with friends. Friendly quick service. Handy for stop off on way to airport to coming back home again.

Called in this restaurant by chance. We went back (party of 12) because of a very good initial impression. One review mentions rude staff; the staff were charming, efficient and friendly. Those whom we met did not strike me as people who would ever be rude. The menu is extensive. The portions are large. It is super 'comfort food' cooked well (and quickly. It is very good value for money. It is close to Belfast International Airport and offers much better value than the food outlets there (with free parking). Childrens' food is good and was rated 'thumbs up' by 5 discerning young customers.

We had a long 24 hrs of travelling and decided to stop of here for some breakfast. Yet again it didn’t disappoint. Lady was friendly food was excellent. Restaurant was clean and tidy also. No bad reviews

I have passed this restaurant often travelling to/from the airport and Antrim. We were travelling north and stopped for Dinner , so impressed that on the return journey we stopped for lunch (2 meals in 3 days) The staff are very chatty and friendly and the boss very much "hands on"We were shown to a table, order taken and food arrived promptly, hot and very tasty. Reasonable price for all Highly recommend and will be stopping more often.This stop also has a fuel and a very well stocked supermarket

Hubby and I have been here plenty of times for a breakfast fry, can't fault it. So after shopping in Belfast we stopped on the way home for some dinner. We had chicken goujons and fish. Was lovely. Staff very friendly.

We waiting for a number of minutes to get our order taken (we eventually called the waitress over) we asked for a baby bowl when ordering, it took ages for the food to arrive, called the waitress over & asked if we could have the baby bowl sooner than our dinner as the baby was starting to cry, she landed back with an empty bowl & walked away, we then had to bring the bowl back & ask for mash, gravy & veg to be added; eventually our food arrived cold, tasteless & the waitress rudely advised we hadn't ordered a baby bowl to begin with! Would rather go to McDonald's or KFC than go back again ..

Came to Randal's to attend a "Meet the riders" event as part of the Ulster 500 GP. The cafe was warm and welcoming with a very friendly vibe. Sat at a table for service which was quick and very efficient and friendly, lovely staff. Had a small bite breakfast and it was plenty, well cooked and presented. Great value for money and I would struggle with anything bigger. Great menu, great service, great value and lovely staff. Would highly recommend.

There is only one word to describe the staff in this restaurant -RUDE !!!!!!! Nil customer service, we could have stopped at many other restaurants on our way from the airport and next time we will - pathetic !!

Called into the airport road cafe Food was lovely and served quickly staff were lovely and gave service with a smile would recomend for everyone young and old.

In this place daily as the coffee is delicious as is the food And the staff are so pleasant, helpful and good We always leave in a cheerful mood

Popped in for Dinner, food was hot and freshly made. Great portions and the staff couldn't do enough to help. Even brought extra butter for the champ ;-) Next time I'm planning to eat at the airport, I'm going to stop here instead.

Wouldn't usually have even considered stopping at a cafe like this, attached to a petrol station, but stopped for much need breakfast because of a recommendation from a friend. It was brilliant! While the staff were quite laid-back in service, the menu range was huge (even cereal available!) and very well priced. All 5 in my group had more than enough cooked breakfast for less than £30! All facilities clean and well maintained. Very happy indeed. We will certainly return if passing this way again. Just one warning is that they do not take payment with cards, though they told me there was a cash machine in the service station next door.
