Ordered takeaway from Agaligo based upon the very good reviews online. Food itself was very flavoursome but portion size was quite small. Ordered 2 x starters and they were rather expensive for what you got. Tom Yum soup was very tasty but again size was quite small vs. other similar restaurants. Maybe dining in-house is a different experience but takeaway was disappointing.

Had a great meal here, authentic Thai food with excellent service. Restaurant was hot on a summer’s eve, so maybe get some air con installed for top marks.

The food is absolutely delicious. I've been to a few Thai restaurants in Southsea that have been really good but this is a cut above the rest. The service is outstanding too, which ensures for an amazing evening. I can't get enough of this place. 100% recommend. Oh, and the toilets are lovely and clean too 👌

This Thai restaurant always serves such delicious tasty food. When we come to Hayling Island we always book for an evening here. We have been coming here for about 6 years now and we are never disappointed. Enjoyed the cashew nut salad as a starter ..wow...amazing. Lovely mains with rice and a dessert that we shared. Mixed starter poor for £9.50 per head, main courses all fine. Thought the 12.5% service charge added to the bill was hefty. 3.5 stats would be fair

Went there after many years. Don't want to be rude, but the food is inedible. The sea bass was straight out of the freezer and even the waiter apologised. Costs have increased but price points mean they now buy cheaper quality ingredients. I do sympathise, but add a couple of £ to the price; people understand and will pay for quality. Nice staff

I went for a wonderful authentic Thai meal here. The service was excellent and the staff so friendly. I particularly enjoyed the Thai fish cakes and the penang. Excellent standard of delicious Thai food. I will definitely be back.

Takeaway food was excellent as always though the young waiter arrived with his trousers undone and his zip undone exposing way way more that I was expecting to see when ordering food, and gave me some cause for concern when he presented the card machine to pay as to where his hands had been

On a recent trip to Hayling lsland, more a break than a trip . We had the great pleasure of visiting Agaligo , as we have visited Thailand, on a few occasions, we thought it great to indulge in a meal, seeing as how we both love Thai food 💯🙏, we were not disappointed ❤️, food was made to a high standard, & as I am fond of " JUNGLE CURRY ", it was well worth our visit, & on any return to Hayling island, I can assure the staff, we will return , we didn't get the young lady who served us so elegantly, but a big thank you for tacking the time to chat with us, thank you so much. This was such amazing food. My wife and I have both been to Thailand multiple times and its our favourite cuisine so this was a real find. The Tom Yum was the best we have had in the UK and we will definitely be coming back to Hayling Island just to visit here again. The tofu satay was also great. All rhe food was hot, sour and clean. The atmosphere was great and it was obviously popular.

Intimate, authentic, outstanding Great menu choices and good value for money. Fresh food that is out of this world, my favourite part was the Devine desserts.

Fantastic!! The only thing I didn't like was the 12% service charge added!! I would like to have the option to add a Tip, not have it added. I always acknowledge good food and very good service

Constantly excellent food, the best restaurant on Hayling. The staff are very pleasant at attentive. They always bring iced water. The room is quite long and thin but nicely decorated.

I was very surprised to find the best coconut rice I've ever had that's not in Thailand!!! Very rich, creamy and full of real coconut flavour and fragrance! The curry was delicious and the atmosphere very friendly. We saw a chef come out and show the table next door how he makes the flowers from carrots and displayed his amazing cutting skills! Would love to return but we don't live here. We were visiting Hayling Island with 3 other families, we all loved this place!

Tried this place for the first time. Food good but nothing special. Very authentic atmosphere. Pleasant service. Wouldn't rush back here, but worth trying. £115 for 5 mains, 2 starters, bottle red wine (very nice quality wine), malibu and small bottle beer.

We stayed at Hayling Island with friends, whilst visiting the nearby Goodwood Revival at Chichester. We hadn’t had Thai food for a while and having read reviews, Agaligo seemed ideal. We went on Saturday 17th September and on arrival it was very busy, which could only be a good sign. We had shared mixed starters plus mains for each of the 4 in our group. Without exception, every item of food was delicious and the service was excellent. We had a bottle of white wine for the two ladies and a bottle of red for the two gents, plus a bottle of Singha beer to whet our appetite. Every thing was thoroughly enjoyable and we liked it so much we booked again for the following evening. We would all recommend this restaurant to all and will no doubt re-visit if in the area again.

Great value for money and they even gave my partner a free desert with a stunning 'happy birthday' written in chocolate. Had my birthday dinner here earlier this week on a weekday. Service was great and food was scrumptious. Place is actually doing well and could see some it's lovely regular patrons. If we are down on hayling again we are definitely stopping by for another meal

We havent been to Agaligo for ages, but the waitress recognised us immediately. Even though the restaursnt has changed hands our meal was as good as ever and the service as attentive. I would highly recommend this place.

After hearing so many good things about this restaurant we placed an £100 takeaway order. Extremely disappointed! Food was cold and not as authentic as I was informed it would be. Not much taste and very watery. Having been to Thailand 5 times I was excited to have authentic Thai cuisine again but it didn’t meet our expectations. I hope it was just an ‘off’ day.

One of the best restaurants an takeaways on the island

Great food. Wonderfully rich curry sauces with just enough spice to be nice but not hot. Singapore noodles had a great texture, firm and never soggy or greasy. All served up by an ultra polite end enthusiastic team.

First time patron as a take-away order. Freshly cooked food and it tasted delicious. Yes it's a bit on the pricey side but I would sooner pay a bit more for a meal I'm going to enjoy rather than be disappointed and throwing half of it away. Portions sizes are perfect size for 2 to share as it wasn't immediately obvious to me how many servings there are (satay sticks, 4 would have been helpful on the online menu). As far as the restaurant goes, it's not got a particularly Thai feel about it compared to other Thai restaurants I've been to. Also the acoustics are a little off and the place seems quite echoey which may annoy some diners. Will definitely use again but probably just the take-away.

Just got back from this Restaurant, absolutely totally disappointed. Service was very poor, Missing items off the order and when the mains came one was cold. Nobody throughout the meal asked if everything was alright when we wanted Service we had to go find someone. When we finished the meal we waited 30 mins for some attention to pay but there was nobody around to ask so had to go and find someone out the back. When we complained it was just met with Sorry I am on Furlough, mmmmm, Never again.

A very fine dinning Thai experience . I have been now few times to this small boutique restaurant in Hayling Island and every time it has surprised me with their excellent food, service and more importantly with their knowledge of Thai food. Pat - the gentleman in charge has an outstanding knowledge of Thai cuisine and general knowledge about all things Thai . I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is interested to experience South East Asian cuisine .

Great food and a friendly warm atmosphere

This was our 3rd time visiting this restaurant as the last 2 times were amazing Unfortunately this time was not so good. The resturant was packed with all the tables occupied and as there's only 3 waiters the service was horrendous. Half the starter came out cold followed by the next bit half hour later then main course was the same only one part came out 10 minutes later anothet bit followed by the rest by the time it all arrived the first bit had gone cold. Ive given four stars for the food because its lovely. I would given 5 if it wasn't let down by the abysmal service

Really disappointed with this restaurant last night. Having asked about the Government 'Eat Out and Help' scheme when booking the restaurant, we were told that they were participating. When we arrived we were shown to our table and told that there was no 'paper' menu because of COVID-19 and we had to use a mobile phone scanner to look at a menu. This is the first restaurant we’ve used that has not provided any form of paper copy for that reason. Fortunately one our party did have such a facility on their ‘phone and then had to read out the menu to the whole party. Being on a small device and because of the print size this wasn't an easy option. However we all managed to make our choices and order. We also enquired if they had Sauvignon Blanc wine to which was replied 'yes' but without referring us to the Wine List which, again, needed scanning. Having had our order taken, we were then informed that we had to pay cash or bank transfer for our meal as the card reader wasn't working. Having finished our meal and got the bill, we noticed that no E O & H discount had been applied and so queried it. We were then presented with another bill that had INCREASED by £40! When we challenged it, we were then informed that the increase was because they had missed items off of the first bill also they were not in the Government scheme and were adamant that we were NOT told they were. Their whole attitude was unsympathetic and made no attempt to entice us back again. Shame really because the food was very pleasant but their demeanor appalling. We will not be returning.

Lovely restaurant. We used to visit more often, but since moved out of the area. Always delicious authentic Thai food. On our last visit however it felt that the standards have slipped just a little, but still very enjoyable.

Great food and unbelievable service. Had a fantastic meal and very reasonable price. As we were leaving 2 waiters escorted us to our car with umbrellas. I have never had that happen in my life and I have been lucky enough to dine in some fabulous restaurants all over the world. Perhaps 5 stars isn't enough? We will never forget this dining experience.

Very disappointed on this occasion, Standards have definitely dropped. Found quite a few live Ants in the food as well as on crockery. This evidence was shown to staff but no apology or interest shown from them. Ultimately found it to be quite expensive for quality and standard of food. Disappointed & wouldn't recommend. Definitely won't be going there again.

Having never eaten Thai before, I thought it was nice but dont really have anything to compare it to! We ate late which might explain why the waitress seemed a bit grumpy but all in all nice food, good service and reasonable pricing (again, no other thai restaurant to compare to!)

The meal my partner had was absolutely disgusting..the dumpling he had was still frozen in the middle!!!!!!! We will not be returning..the staff as well where not up to a very good standard either.

Food was lovely however the service was very slow, had to wait a long time between courses & food did not arrive together. Priority should be given to people in the restaurant not take aways. Sorry to say this but not up to the usual standard.
