I booked lunch for my wife and I with retired siblings and husbands on Thursday 12th September 2024. There were 9 of us and we all thoroughly enjoyed the excellent food. I could recommend it to anyone any time of day the staff friendly and helpful also the it’s very clean. So next time you are in Ballymena you should go eat in the Adair Arms Bar & Grill

We booked one of the function rooms at the Adair Arms for a family occasion, hosting around 30 people for lunch. Food was a fork buffet and we had a drinks reception beforehand. The whole thing from beginning to end couldn't have gone more smoothly. Neil looked after us very well throughout the day and also when we were planning, no effort at all required on our side, everything was taken care of. The whole team was friendly and helpful at all times. Food excellent and complimented by many of our party. We would highly recommend. Thanks once again to Neil and team for a brilliant day.

17 of us went on 10/12/2022. We went for xmas dinner. The atmosphere was terrible. No xmas cheer. The only thing was a cheap cracker on the table. Not even a tablecloth. And the food wasn't much better. My dinner was quite cold. The meat was good but nothing else was of a standard expected from a hotel. Service was poor and some of us had to ask for cutlery. Veg was late arriving. Never were even asked if we wanted more gravy or cranberry sauce. 2 desserts needed warmed and 2 pavlovas were so rubbery they had to be changed. We had to ask for some music which was so low we couldn't even hear it. For the price it was not a good experience. We were all so cold we sat with coats on

I was taken here for a Birthday treat and both of us were absolutely amazed at the wonderful array of food provided for the Afternoon Tea. Starting off with a very tasty broccoli and cauliflower soup, warm and full of flavour. then followed by well filled ham sandwiches and chicken wraps, then huge scones with a brimming dish of strawberry jam and another of fresh cream, then a three tier cakestand with freshly made buns, cakes and taracotta. All this served with tea, coffee and a chocolate. For £14.50 this must be the nicest and best value anywhere. PS. We couldn't finish all the food but were given boxes to take what we wanted home with us!

I was shocked at lunch today in the Adair, I was served processed ham in my toasted sandwich, my fudge cake was not heated and 4 small onion rings were served as a portion Not what I would expect from such a hotel

The Adair Arms is right beside the law court, and while working at the court I went there a good few times for sandwiches and coffee. The first good point was that the orders came quickly. The second was that the quality was high, and the third was fair prices. I also used a meeting room upstairs which was perfect. There is very good free wi-fi. The staff are very nice and very attentive.

Went for an evening meal with some friends and had a nice dinner. Has the feeling of being a home cooked meal. Good a traditional local meal or something else. Brought a German work colleague here once and he really enjoyed the look and atmosphere of the restaurant and the food.

We didn't go for the Afternoon tea., but instead had the evening meal. Our small family group was quickly served, once we took time to stop talking and to read the menu. A fairly good range of mains and sweets to select from. My chilli chicken was very good and we all enjoyed our choices, although there was a slight bit of confusion as to one of the sauce accompaniment. There were lots of local people in for an evening meal, which is always a good sigh. It's a pity the toilets are not regularly checked!

I've little to say on this only hat the soup was made from a packet. when i asked the waitress if the soup was fresh made her reply was "its made in house" yes from a packet. It was served with a bread roll that was pure cardboard so i asked her to change it and i got wheaten bread that had been slightly heated in a oven to mask the staleness. The waiter who served partly was bizarrely so laid back and informal i actually felt he must have known me personally. I cant remember the main course, it'll come back to me, but my partner han some sort of dry chicken wrap that was cold and not meant to be dry. My main? well suffice to say it was not in the slightest memorable. This type of dross food happens too often around Ballymena where prices are based on the privilege of having it served to you.

Mum and Dad received an Afternoon tea for 2 voucher for Christmas and I went with them. In the afternoon tea for 2 there was a selection of sandwiches, scones with jam and cream and traybakes. I picked their salmon fishcakes and garlic fries from the menu which were nice.

The staff here are exemplary, especially the young boy who looks after cleaning the tables he is so lovely and works super hard! Other stores in fairhill would benefit from training from him on customer service! 🫶🙌

First time trying this Chinese, fancies somewhere new. Ignore the good reviews, they are from over 3 years ago & the place has certainly went to the dogs. I ordered chicken curry, fried rice & salted chilli chips, this was to share between 2, as we usually do. Service was fast, priobbly because they were quiet at 6pm on a Friday, maybe that should have been the tell tale sign. I had rang the order through & collected, the place had an odd old musty damp smell, if I had known that 1st I wouldn't have ordered. I was so disappointed when I got the food home. The salted chilli chips had a strange aniseed smell & looked like they had been scooped out of a bin. I know they likely weren't but they didn't look fresh & looked dirty with all the spices chucked over, no veg like I usually get from my usual Chinese. The chicken curry came in a small foil tray, such a small portion, definitely not enough to share. The actual curry sauce had a nice flavour, at most I for 4 very small bits of chicken. The fried rice needed to be fried more. Although the meal cost £13.10 there were no free prawn crackers. Needless to say I won't be back.
