New Woodlands in Ballymena

First time trying this Chinese, fancies somewhere new. Ignore the good reviews, they are from over 3 years ago & the place has certainly went to the dogs. I ordered chicken curry, fried rice & salted chilli chips, this was to share between 2, as we usually do. Service was fast, priobbly because they were quiet at 6pm on a Friday, maybe that should have been the tell tale sign. I had rang the order through & collected, the place had an odd old musty damp smell, if I had known that 1st I wouldn't have ordered. I was so disappointed when I got the food home. The salted chilli chips had a strange aniseed smell & looked like they had been scooped out of a bin. I know they likely weren't but they didn't look fresh & looked dirty with all the spices chucked over, no veg like I usually get from my usual Chinese. The chicken curry came in a small foil tray, such a small portion, definitely not enough to share. The actual curry sauce had a nice flavour, at most I for 4 very small bits of chicken. The fried rice needed to be fried more. Although the meal cost £13.10 there were no free prawn crackers. Needless to say I won't be back.

Disappointed in tonight's delivery again 2nd time order was wrong... rang them directly to tell them. The kitchen doesn't read the orders correctly. We won't be ordering again. 😒

One of the best Chinese's in Ballymena, great food and service for a reasonable price

This is my favourite takeaway. The food is always good, and it's clean. I always recommend New Woodland to people.

Absolutely beautiful Chinese. Nicest we've ever had, to be honest. Fantastic service and fantastic food. Staff so pleasant, and very reasonably priced. Delivered right to the door at Galgorm. Highly recommended. Will definitely get again 🤤

Food ok portion sizes very small

Good food, reasonably priced although portions are a bit smaller than most other Chinese takeaways.

Woodlands. Right lemme tell you a little story. Been there for me since day one chicken and batter way gravy in a tub no peas please. Get some salted chilli chips and spice that ting up yanooo. But if you wanna spice it up more get curry but top shelf grade A. Seeye later good scran good night thankyou.

After having a great take away 2 weeks ago I ordered here tonight a chicken Maryland and chicken omelette,what a disaster chicken Maryland was disgusting,chicken chewy and batter horrible,bacon 2 pieces of fat,chips where also horrible, soggy,my husband's omelette was ok but again spoilt by the chips so disappointed😕

Just went in and ordered ribs and bbq sauce. Sat down then realised I'd been charged a pound extra. Lady explained oh thats because you ordered the sauce and that's a pound extra which she never mentioned before. So I sat down and accepted the situation till I looked up at the menu and it states clearly "Honey Barbeque Rib (crispy or with sauce) : 4.60". I again got up told the lady what the main menu states and she said she'd go and mention it to the boss. Did anything happen after that, even an apology or my pound back? Sod all happened. Very deceitful, dishonest and will never be back.
