The service was a bit slow and there was too many delays to our orders. But the food was amazing .

Incredible food and service. Our waitress Kiran was so lovely and recommended perfect dishes!

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID! Absolutely awful experience. Went midweek and restaurant was totally empty which isn't an issue for me however it went downhill pretty early on, I ordered the Island fish and chips, mutton curry, the thick chick and the kids chicken burger meal: 1) I was told they don't offer tap water therefore I had to pay for £1.95 for a tiny bottle of water. 2) The island fish and chips - the batter was soggy and the fish had a fishy taste to it, fried fish should have a crispy batter, it was clearly reheated from the day before. 3) The thick chick burger was the same size as the kids chicken burger but with the addition of some salad and mayo (paid an extra £4 just for that) plus the batter was soggy. 4) Kids burger, again the batter was soggy and it was nothing but a bun with a sad looking chicken fillet thrown on it - £6 for this was an insult. 5) I was charged an extra 30p for ice, this was never mentioned when I was placing my order. Which restaurant charges extra for ice!!!??!! Needless to say, I will never be returning to this Lil Afrikaana, the one on Ladypool road is much better but after this experience I refuse to dine in any of their restaurants.

Went today with a friend and was served by a very pleasant young lady (Kiran?).. she was very polite, attentive and professional.. excellent service. Had the platter with wings and jollof rice .. food was very good and very reasonably price.. highly recommend.

My first dining experience at lil afrikana with my daughter. Upon arrival we were greeted and seated by Kiran. We ordered our drinks and food quite promptly. Kiran was great in suggesting a few items of the menu as I was unsure what to have. In the end I had the thic chic burger and my daughter and the kids meal chicken tenders. Both dishes were cooked fresh to order and was tasty. Kiran was really attentive and checked on us and the food. Overall a pleasant experience and would definitely visit again! Thanks to Kiran and LIL afrikana team!

The food was pretty decent. However the service from Kirran was exceptional. Greeted with a smile, knew the menu, polite, friendly & courteous.

Great experience , the food was really nice and presented beautifully. The flavours are most definitely there! I recommend the curry goat and lamb chops. Kiran our waiter was amazing. food was not hot on delivery and it was thrown around in the Box it came with from just eat, this is not the fault of Afrikana but its the fault of just eat as the food is beautiful but shouldn't be cold or thrown around in the food box

Exceptional service and food! The waitress was so so lovely….brilliant with our kids and so helpful. They got one order wrong…..human error…..yet were so efficient with sorting it and gave us complimentary fries for the inconvenience…..we didn’t feel inconvenienced at all purely down to how lovely all the staff are. Amazing food. Came here for a meal, and the food was incredible. Can’t fault it. Staff were amazing, so friendly, attentive and kind. The decor and ambience in the restaurant is lovely. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. Definitely will be back soon for their amazing food.

Sunday evening, so was quiet. Food was delicious, a better version of Nandos. We were well looked after by our helpful and attentive Waitress Kirum. Will be returning.

Ordered the smash burger phat box, delivery was over an hour late, they told me drivers car broke down but the driver turned up in a normal car. The guy at the restaurant did call me tho to apologise and gave 2 portions of free fries, not that we could eat them as there was too much food. The food was alright, strips and chips were the best thing tbh and the Africana sauce. Smash burger too salty for my liking. Don't think I'll be ordering from here again if im honest.

Me and my uncle went for a meal today to Lil' Afrikana. Were given food and drinks menus by a gentleman with the name of Saif. Saif was very respectful and also knowledgeable of the restaurants menu. The restaurant was very clean and had a relaxing environment. We both loved the food and will definitely be coming here again. Thank you for your outstanding service and delicious food. 😊

Tried this lil gem in the heart of Aldridge, the food was amazing with excellent portion sizes and great flavours. The mocktails were very generous and super tasty. Not only are the food and drinks great but the service was exceptional, Martin looked after us so well and was super attentive. It makes a difference when the service is on point, super job Afrikana team 👏

It's not like me to give a poor score, but here's the thing. We booked to eat at this place and we're greeted on arrival, it's a small place with I guess 15-20 seats but it actually looked more like a fast food restaurant with the menus on screen above the counter. We thought we were going to eat at a traditional African restaurant. All the staff were Asian not at all African. And the music was not at all resemblance to Africa. The food was tasty but if I'm honest it was in my opinion quite over priced for what it was, I had some chicken dish but whilst eating it it dawned on me that I'd only had 3 little pieces of chicken in the dish, the rest was potato and yam (banana). As I've said, the food was tasty and the service was good but way over priced, it is for that reason we wouldn't be going back again.

This place is so far from African food. Adding spicy flavour on frozen chicken and burgers is hardly African. Jerk is Caribbean. Owners need to go to Africa and understand African dishes. Overpriced, salty and not a pleasant experience really. Restaurant empty on a Friday night says it all. Should have gone to the bustling place over the road where it looks like the locals go.

Pretty awful, overpriced drinks very hot food hardly anything on menu due to not being cooked and slow service with nobody else in restaurant, how low can you go.

This an amazing little place which really deserves to be visited. The food is top notch and is not expensive for the level of taste in the food. My wife had the mutton curry and i had the smash surprise box and could not fault anything on the plates. There are also bottles of specific sauces which work to your heat level and are tasty. Isobel was our server and she was very welcoming, cheerful and attentive to all of our needs and seemed to know when we wanted something and was there ready when we asked for anything. The meat is also halal for anyone that is wondering before checking it out. I hope they keep it up as don't think anything needs changing.

Keep away when we got home we noticed they’d taken the payment twice so we went back the next day and they still wouldn’t give us our money back

The food was good and so was the service but when we got home we noticed they’d charged the whole bill twice, we went back the next night and they refused to give us the money back even thought we showed on our bank account that they’d taken double the amount, they said we can’t give you the money back as we’re not allowed to take money out the till and the manager isn’t here, they then asked for our bank account and sort code number which by now we were feeling very uneasy, they tried to contact the manage another couple of times but said he was unavailable, they then said leave your telephone number and he will ring you tomorrow I’ve never had such a problem trying to get my own money back, this place is awful I advise anyone not to use it no wonder it was empty on both occasions 😡

As I love flaming food, I head to Africana restaurant in Aldridge. The presentation was great and aromatic was unavoidable. But the taste was not to my expectations. I did not enjoy at all. The fact that it was flaming dish, I did not taste the hot pepper 🌶️ taste. The staff were very friendly, nice and professional. The atmosphere was welcoming. The only downside was the food. But aside from that all was good. Because of the I will give them 3 stars ⭐️ as I love my food. 🍱.

Ordered two meals and no roti breads were delivered with either meal. It was just the meat and rice. Regular customer use three times a week this was disappointing.

food was disgusting had to throw it away fries where to spicy, curry goat tasted off , mac and cheese was like rubber called up about the fries and they sent even spicier ones out and sum more rubbery mac and cheese won't order from there again. had to order from somewhere else , WASTE OF MONEY

Food arrived 30mins late. Received no apology when delivered. Tried calling the restaurant beforehand and the number doesn’t connect. Food was cold when delivered. Appalling service. Shame because I was a repeat customer.

First visit with the family today and enjoyed every minute. The food was excellent and the service fast, efficient and all staff super friendly. We were a large group and although they were busy, they still allowed us sufficient time to sit in s relaxed atmosphere and eat in comfort unlike many of the restaurants today who try to rush their customers through their meal. The menu may have changed as some of the food we had are not detailed here in the recommend selection for review however the foods we did have were fantastic. I would recommend Lil' Africana without hesitation. Well done guys!

Great food, chicken burger, tenders, and the veggie meal box, loved the veggie burger, and variety in the box. Only negative was it was Luke warm due to driver not finding our house, I did send a pin with exact location as I know it can be tricky. Would order again but probably collect. Sauces were delicious !

I'll start off by saying that from my visit there was no black african staff in front of house or the kitchen. I feel if you're going to use the african culture for food and decor, give back to the same community. Integrity aside, the food was fresh and full of flavour. Seating is extremely limited inside so bear this in mind if you want to eat in. The meals are reasonably priced and are quite big portions. I am excited to come back and try more off the menu.

Good place to eat as they have a variety of different mains to choose from, normally food is always perfect, this time round I had a small complaint in regards to my chicken but it was dealt with by a waiter called Saif who went out his way to make sure everything was rectified I was pleased with his honesty and politeness. I would recommend for everyone to give the place a try.

Have regularly ordered from here but on two occasions we received uncooked chicken in our “Three Little Birds” burger, Uber eats refunded the items but it’s shocking that it happens more than once. Decrease the heat on the oil and cook the chicken for longer, it’s not rocket science. People’s health is at risk here. UPDATE; They asked to email but never seen a response. Poor customer service, trash food. Glad everybody’s moved on from the initial buzz of this place.

What an experience the atmosphere in the restaurant is just brilliant the music the vibe everything in the restaurant flows. The food was amazing I went for the Bun True Love. Tasted amazing 10/10. Service is 10/10 very friendly staff made me feel like I was at home. Definitely a would recommend. 100% coming back!!!!

A gem of a place in Aldridge. Went with family and had the best experience ever. From entering to leaving the restaurant the service was spectacular. The whole environment, ambience, food and atmosphere was 10/10. A special thanks to the staff who ensured the service was above par. The food was amazing and the flavours were balanced to give a true Afrikana experience complimented by the refreshing mocktails. The best meal i have had and cannot wait to return

First time ordering and tbh probably the last. The food was lovely tasted amazing but for how much a phatt box costs i expected alot more food to what i got. 1 tablespoon of mac n cheese 3 tablespoons of jollof 2 prawns 2 wings and 4 of the thinest chicken strips ive ever had. We were fed up of having mediocre Indian & chinese takeaways and wanted to try something different. Lil Africana food did not disappoint, the food was delicious & cooked to perfection, staff were very friendly and welcoming. Restaurant was decorated to a high standard and extremely clean and had a really good atmosphere. We would definitely buy food from there again.

We enjoyed just one item - which was the fried okra starter. Everything else was below average. I enjoyed the mock tail drinks as well, but at £4.50 a pop they are wildly overpriced. There was a MAJOR issue with the cleanliness of the bathroom though. It smelled absolutely ungodly and actually stank the whole place up to the point my stomach felt very rough afterwards. For that reason alone I will not be visiting again.
