Very fatty meat 😕 which is unusual ….. has put me off but not enough to ordered again ..Maybe usual chef was on annual leave as night before tried to order and was unavailable.

Food is excellent the curried goat almost as good as my mum

The food took over 2 hours to arrive the shop called to let us know the guy on the phone didn’t care he had no explanation of why it took so long! Just kept acting like he could not hear us! Food was not worth a 2 hour wait I was past hungry when it arrived!

I went this restaurant with my sister and son,and to be honest I had try various restaurants but the quality and the atmosphere of this restaurant really admire me,Moreover the staff attitude was really polite and humble with us last but not the least I must say this restaurant really cares about the customer satisfaction and quality of food

Curry was cold and just poor quality, chicken was okay though. Seems like quality has been going down for a while now.

Ordered the 2X the smash surprise phatbox items missing from the box corn on the cob and the creole sauce the tenders were not tenders they were chopped up chicken steam far too salty and mushed up the smash burger meat had a odd odour and taste to it I took 1 bite and it left me feeling unwell and sick. I have been contemplating to try this place to dine in for a while but decided to order takeout for lunch 1st and test the food to see if it’s good and then we can plan to dine in but safe to say I won’t be a returning customer. Spent £20 and the food was inedible for me and items missing. The Uber delivery driver however was lovely polite elderly gentleman but he is it employed by this eatery so can’t give them any pout for his service.

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. Ordered here because the menu looked good and it was date night but I wish I had cooked instead. Food came 2 and a half HOURS late. Had a phonecall from the restaurant 2 hours after I placed the order to say they were preparing the food now because ‘they have lots of deliveries to make’. The food itself was a glorified salty Nando’s with very small portion sizes. In short either order a Nando’s or cook for yourself but do not give this place your money.👎

ordered here for the first time, the food was really nice very tasty the only thing for me was the portion size was too small which for the money I did expect a little more and it took a fairly long time to get here but apart from these to minor issues I would definitely try them again id also recommend to others just on how nice the food tasted.

Great food, shame they ran out of their signature drink, which we look forward to. Kira was very helpful, as my order is not available but she advise me of a nice alternative. Gave us afters as mint chocolate as well, and welcomed us with a nice smile

Huge shoutout to Nesa, who took care of us right from the moment we walked through the door, providing recommendations on food and ensuring everything was provided for us. Nesa made this a very pleasant experience, we will definitely be coming back.

Had dinner today at Lil Afrikana in Alridge. Very nice ambience n was happy with the service. Special mention to Shanessa who was very pleasant n helpful in suggesting what could be eaten. Enjoyed the Thats a wrap, we got your back, fried chicken in life n chicken wings. The bubble gum mojito mocktail was very refreshing. Would definitely go back for another meal soon n recommend the place to our friends..keep it up!

We had a lovely meal here tonight. There was a nice lively vibe in the restaurant and the service was excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff, I will definitely eat here again!

Food is always exceptional, delivery time is poor, ordered at 7pm, original delivery time 7:45, arrived 9pm…but…food was worth the wait!

The service was a bit slow and there was too many delays to our orders. But the food was amazing .

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID! Absolutely awful experience. Went midweek and restaurant was totally empty which isn't an issue for me however it went downhill pretty early on, I ordered the Island fish and chips, mutton curry, the thick chick and the kids chicken burger meal: 1) I was told they don't offer tap water therefore I had to pay for £1.95 for a tiny bottle of water. 2) The island fish and chips - the batter was soggy and the fish had a fishy taste to it, fried fish should have a crispy batter, it was clearly reheated from the day before. 3) The thick chick burger was the same size as the kids chicken burger but with the addition of some salad and mayo (paid an extra £4 just for that) plus the batter was soggy. 4) Kids burger, again the batter was soggy and it was nothing but a bun with a sad looking chicken fillet thrown on it - £6 for this was an insult. 5) I was charged an extra 30p for ice, this was never mentioned when I was placing my order. Which restaurant charges extra for ice!!!??!! Needless to say, I will never be returning to this Lil Afrikaana, the one on Ladypool road is much better but after this experience I refuse to dine in any of their restaurants.

Although the delivery was late, they have a great customer service, the person I spoke with was very calm and helpful and I appreciate that. The food was very tasty but the quantity was too small for the price, I feel like the chicken is the main meal and the rice and coleslaw were just toppings because it was too small to be part of the meal. In all, I would enjoy it more if the quantity was increased a bit.

Went today with a friend and was served by a very pleasant young lady (Kiran?).. she was very polite, attentive and professional.. excellent service. Had the platter with wings and jollof rice .. food was very good and very reasonably price.. highly recommend.

First time visiting and will definitely be back. Great service from Kiran, friendly and attentive. Food was out of this world! Fresh and so tasty. Prices are really reasonable too. 10/10

My first dining experience at lil afrikana with my daughter. Upon arrival we were greeted and seated by Kiran. We ordered our drinks and food quite promptly. Kiran was great in suggesting a few items of the menu as I was unsure what to have. In the end I had the thic chic burger and my daughter and the kids meal chicken tenders. Both dishes were cooked fresh to order and was tasty. Kiran was really attentive and checked on us and the food. Overall a pleasant experience and would definitely visit again! Thanks to Kiran and LIL afrikana team!

Food was delicious ,Kiran customer service is excellent and please tell her to make your Moctail she does it so nice . Food standards need t be consistent because on the third time I thought something was definitely different and not up to standard. Great experience , the food was really nice and presented beautifully. The flavours are most definitely there! I recommend the curry goat and lamb chops. Kiran our waiter was amazing. food was not hot on delivery and it was thrown around in the Box it came with from just eat, this is not the fault of Afrikana but its the fault of just eat as the food is beautiful but shouldn't be cold or thrown around in the food box

Exceptional service and food! The waitress was so so lovely….brilliant with our kids and so helpful. They got one order wrong…..human error…..yet were so efficient with sorting it and gave us complimentary fries for the inconvenience…..we didn’t feel inconvenienced at all purely down to how lovely all the staff are. Amazing food. Came here for a meal, and the food was incredible. Can’t fault it. Staff were amazing, so friendly, attentive and kind. The decor and ambience in the restaurant is lovely. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. Definitely will be back soon for their amazing food.

Ordered the smash burger phat box, delivery was over an hour late, they told me drivers car broke down but the driver turned up in a normal car. The guy at the restaurant did call me tho to apologise and gave 2 portions of free fries, not that we could eat them as there was too much food. The food was alright, strips and chips were the best thing tbh and the Africana sauce. Smash burger too salty for my liking. Don't think I'll be ordering from here again if im honest.

Me and my uncle went for a meal today to Lil' Afrikana. Were given food and drinks menus by a gentleman with the name of Saif. Saif was very respectful and also knowledgeable of the restaurants menu. The restaurant was very clean and had a relaxing environment. We both loved the food and will definitely be coming here again. Thank you for your outstanding service and delicious food. 😊

Tried this lil gem in the heart of Aldridge, the food was amazing with excellent portion sizes and great flavours. The mocktails were very generous and super tasty. Not only are the food and drinks great but the service was exceptional, Martin looked after us so well and was super attentive. It makes a difference when the service is on point, super job Afrikana team 👏

It's not like me to give a poor score, but here's the thing. We booked to eat at this place and we're greeted on arrival, it's a small place with I guess 15-20 seats but it actually looked more like a fast food restaurant with the menus on screen above the counter. We thought we were going to eat at a traditional African restaurant. All the staff were Asian not at all African. And the music was not at all resemblance to Africa. The food was tasty but if I'm honest it was in my opinion quite over priced for what it was, I had some chicken dish but whilst eating it it dawned on me that I'd only had 3 little pieces of chicken in the dish, the rest was potato and yam (banana). As I've said, the food was tasty and the service was good but way over priced, it is for that reason we wouldn't be going back again.

This place is so far from African food. Adding spicy flavour on frozen chicken and burgers is hardly African. Jerk is Caribbean. Owners need to go to Africa and understand African dishes. Overpriced, salty and not a pleasant experience really. Restaurant empty on a Friday night says it all. Should have gone to the bustling place over the road where it looks like the locals go.

Pretty awful, overpriced drinks very hot food hardly anything on menu due to not being cooked and slow service with nobody else in restaurant, how low can you go.

Keep away when we got home we noticed they’d taken the payment twice so we went back the next day and they still wouldn’t give us our money back

The food was good and so was the service but when we got home we noticed they’d charged the whole bill twice, we went back the next night and they refused to give us the money back even thought we showed on our bank account that they’d taken double the amount, they said we can’t give you the money back as we’re not allowed to take money out the till and the manager isn’t here, they then asked for our bank account and sort code number which by now we were feeling very uneasy, they tried to contact the manage another couple of times but said he was unavailable, they then said leave your telephone number and he will ring you tomorrow I’ve never had such a problem trying to get my own money back, this place is awful I advise anyone not to use it no wonder it was empty on both occasions 😡

This an amazing little place which really deserves to be visited. The food is top notch and is not expensive for the level of taste in the food. My wife had the mutton curry and i had the smash surprise box and could not fault anything on the plates. There are also bottles of specific sauces which work to your heat level and are tasty. Isobel was our server and she was very welcoming, cheerful and attentive to all of our needs and seemed to know when we wanted something and was there ready when we asked for anything. The meat is also halal for anyone that is wondering before checking it out. I hope they keep it up as don't think anything needs changing.

As I love flaming food, I head to Africana restaurant in Aldridge. The presentation was great and aromatic was unavoidable. But the taste was not to my expectations. I did not enjoy at all. The fact that it was flaming dish, I did not taste the hot pepper 🌶️ taste. The staff were very friendly, nice and professional. The atmosphere was welcoming. The only downside was the food. But aside from that all was good. Because of the I will give them 3 stars ⭐️ as I love my food. 🍱.

Ordered two meals and no roti breads were delivered with either meal. It was just the meat and rice. Regular customer use three times a week this was disappointing.

food was disgusting had to throw it away fries where to spicy, curry goat tasted off , mac and cheese was like rubber called up about the fries and they sent even spicier ones out and sum more rubbery mac and cheese won't order from there again. had to order from somewhere else , WASTE OF MONEY
