Went here this morning for breakfast with my wife and son and we were greeted on entry in a very friendly welcoming manner. Service was great as were our breakfasts which were all beautiful cooked. Could not fault a thing and will definitely be returning. Hats off to Amie , Kelly and Sarah for making our visit a very pleasant and enjoyable one.

Came for breakfast with the family. We was greated by Aimee who was pleasant and helpful. Service was very fast and friendly. Food was beautiful.

Food is way overpriced and the staff were not very friendly at all. The food was decent, and the salad bar is a nice addition, but the prices are just way too high in this financial climate.

Visited teatime today (Monday) no complaints at all very relaxed good food great service , shout out to Christine , didn’t catch any of the other names but all staff were great 💜

They've redeemed theirselves. Absolutely fantastic customer service, made my friends 80th so special. For a Friday night it was quite empty so even better for us lol. Thank you!

Called in on Sunday evening, place was quiet but service was great, food was amazing.

A lovely meal, I had the Original Combo which was excellent as always. Good salad selection. Unfortunately harvester have put their prices up yet again, it seems this happens every time they update the menu. Almost £20 for burger and chips is a lot.

Cannot fault the service we received on Mothers Day. The team were nothing but attentive and the food was great.

I ordered a harvester 1983 combo, the ribs were burnt dry and tasteless, half chicken was tasteless and very dry. Kids chips was about 8 pieces each. I have to fry chips at home to top up their food. I am so disappointed with the food, its a big NO

Nice atmosphere, great waiting staff...had a to wait quite a while for mains to arrive. One of us ordered Taco dish and they were very small bitesize...not what we expected for price charged for an adult. He had to fill up on bread rolls! Not great experience...

Christian the manager was so polite and welcoming sat us down quicla dn took our drinks she helped me download the app and set it up as I have difficulty the food was very nice price is a little high but would defanty come back again

I went in thinking its gonna be ok quality but the price will reflect that. But instead most of the basic meals cost around £15 and if you want anything else its between £15 and £25 which is insane considering youre in a place with mediocre cleaning And a claw machine in the corner. In comparison you could go to a actual pub pay as much or less and get better quality. Anyway my elderly grandma wanting to eat sat down. So i ordered the haddock and chips which was one of the cheapest meals. When it came out it had clearly been cooked straight from frozen. Which before you all think im being overly dramatic i dont mind it being frozen as im in a harvester and would not expect fresh caught im not stupid. However when it came out it was full of water as it was cooked straight from frozen which then leaked on my plate and made my mouth taste bitter for hrs after, i didnt finish my meal. Genuinely dont go its just not worth the money at all. Mc Donald's is around the corner and the quality and pricing is better. At least you get what you pay for in there. I ended up with food poisoning from this and subsequently ive lost a day's work.

Disappointed. Salad bar was empty and the food was nothing to write home about.

Got to say a massive thank you to Dan for cooking up the excellent mixed grill. Hubby said it was the best he'd ever had. Emma was warm & welcoming and added an extra sparkle to the atmosphere. Looking forward coming again soon.

Me and partner always go in the George Stephenson for breakie on Mondays and other times for food. Always have a lovely friendly experience with the staff. Would like to say a special thanks for Jack who did our breakfast a couple of weeks ago. Excellent breakie hot food throughout eating it and plates still warm. I hear through the grapevine (lol) he will be cooking on Mother's Day so there will be some very happy mom's that day. Cheers thank you all that work there xx

We recently visited here for a family meal and although we were a group of 23 , the service was exceptional. The salad bar was clean and constantly being topped up , our food was beautiful and the service we received from the staff was outstanding. We will definitely be back again !

You are falsely advertising buy one get in free then don’t send the free one

Probably the worse experience we've ever had in a harvester. Turned up to be told there was no chicken available, fine these things happen. Waited nearly 20 minutes for our food order to be taken, and that was only taken when a waitress was called over. Salad bar was almost completely empty with all the food mixed up together. Food came, my friend who had a skewer was given the tops of the peppers. My loaded fries were fries with cheese sauce on and my other friends peppercorn sauce taken like it had gone off. The restaurant was a mess and dirty. The waiter came over to clear the table next to us and when he swiped the table threw all the food over one of us including a plastic child's toy. The only positive thing I can say is the manager was running around trying her hardest to get things sorted and herding the waiters who clearly had no idea about service.

Had a wonderful lunch today. Staff were so attentive, especially our waitress Christine. Thank you

I have been to multiple harvesters over the years. Went here on Tuesday as our local Harvester was full. Walked in and was standing at the front desk for a good 2-3 minutes before a staff member said they would be with us in a minute, took a good 3-4 minutes to get to us even after this, felt ridiculous considering many staff members saw us waiting to be seated. You could tell the staff were all completely flustered and understaffed running around. We were given a table for 6 people because our table for 2 was still occupied ( in reality the staff haven’t cleaned up lots of the tables as the left over food was laying around everywhere after people had eaten and gone). Really makes the experience feel dirty walking past all of this. Once we sat down we had no service including tables near to us with a family not being served at all, so my wife had to go up with a menu and just order ourselves directly including the other family. After this we went for our free salads which was also a complete mess with a few ladies waiting around having pointed out to staff multiple salad sections were empty etc, sauces not filled up too and we had to ask for restock. Needs improvement , we have been to this one twice before only due to convenience and it has given an issue every time. Prior to this one we were sat in the bar section yet there were lots of tables in the dining area and was a weird experience as the salad bar is a big walk away from the bar ? The first time we were here of the only 2 veggie options, one we wanted was “out of stock” on that day so had no choice what we could eat essentially that time. It makes no sense for there to be a venue this big as although there was a fair few people there, it was not even half full and this was on a Tuesday.

Excellent food and staff was really good despite working extra sure to covid restrictions especially Sophie who was once again gave standard to a high service place was clean and made to feel comfortable

Ordered via the app and waited 45 minutes for the drinks to come with food around 5 min later. Husband went to get some cutlery and one of the male servers (in front of my husband) actually picked up dirty cutlery, swilled them in dirty water, dried them and handed it to him!! He said no and had to ask someone else for some clean ones.

The food was cold and bland and expensive for what we had. The restaurant was messy (food on the floor) and really cold. Staff were friendly but the overall atmosphere and experience was poor and dull. This was a sad date night.

We had my son’s 7th Birthday party here. All the kids had an amazing time. The staff Courtney & Amy were amazing and couldn’t do enough for us. They both worked hard and it went smoothly so us as parents could sit back and relax while everything was taken care of. Thank you ☺️

Reheated food from leftovers the day or morning before. Bread rolls fridge cold. Not even been warmed up. The kitchen needs to be managed better.

they move the delivery time about so can't say if it's on time late or early, was cold too not delivered in a insulated bag to the door, food was good but cold.

Had a lovely breakfast date in the George Stevenson this morning with my sister. Amie was really attentive and friendly, our drinks were served quickly and food was cooked beautifully. Thanks to Dan the chef for a great looking, tasty plate of food. Would definitely come again!

One of the best Harvester restaurants we've eaten at. The decor and layout is really modern, clean and looks relatively recently decorated. Very spacious and lots of different places to sit. Food was quick to come out and was yummy.

Staff were great extremely welcoming and especially Christine who helped my choose what flavour to have with my finger licking chicken skewers best harvester out 👍

Had the pleasure of being served by the lovely Christine, very attentive to us, kids plate was hot so she bought us an extra one out to switch it. Food was great, £8 chicken Tuesdays. Great value for money. Will definitely return.

Came here during weekday with some family, food was decent as expected as well a drinks however the staff completely messed up my bill. Came in with 3 adults who went for the £16 2 course special, no alcohol drinks were bought but somehow the bill ended up at £92, when I queried this error, the lady realised and apologised saying I need to log onto app etc, but she said she can just apply the discount now- bill ended up £71 which is still far from that it should’ve been. There was a que so did not want to kick up a fuss but staff need to take better care with bills

I've been here twice now and both times the food and service has been on point.... I don't think the chef gets enough recognition for the amount of food he cooks whilst trying to perfect every order, the chefs name was (phill) and he is a really good chef !!! The staff are also friendly and polite.

Honestly can’t fault anything! Service is great, staff are so rushed off there feet but still so kind and caring so approachable. Lovely place to eat with family and friends great for children! chicken came out under cooked. The place was cold. Staff were rude n couldnt giv a damn.

Visited last Thursday for lunch. Arrived around 12.30. The restaurant was fairly quiet with a few tables of people around us. We were warmly welcomed and seated quickly. Ordered the ultimate mixed grill and the barbacoa burger which then comes with the salad bar starter. The salad was fresh as always and completely stocked. Always enjoy the salad starter from Harvester, great idea. We did have an issue with the main which arrived not hot but I must admit the restaurant immediately rectified and provided fresh new meals. The meals were of fantastic quality. All of the mixed grill meats were cooked and seasoned perfectly, no fatty cheap cuts and all tender and moist. The burger as all the harvester burgers are, are delicious, maybe on the pricey side but you are always guaranteed enjoyment. The restaurant even adjusted the bill for the food issue which wasn't expected but was a welcome end to a nice meal out

We were shown to our table and drinks order taken quickly, after we ordered food it arrived quickly and was lovely, the place was really busy and we didn't have to wait long to place our order or receive our food, well done to all involved

Booked here for my son’s 5th birthday party, and it couldn’t have gone better. From start to finish, Cortnie and Amietook care of everything and the kids all had a great time. It included party bags food, juice and a yummy cake, which saved me even more time and effort and was great value for money! Thank you, Cortnie and Amie, for making my son’s special day so memorable and enjoyable for everyone!

My wife has really bad food poisoning from the fish and has been ill for over 24hrs now.. awful will never return

Had a family birthday meal here tonight absolutely amazing 🤩 Beth our waitress was so friendly and polite also thanks to Vicky who was equally as so who served our food, nothing was too much trouble . Thanks to Phil the chef the food was fabulous and even though we were a large group all of the food came out together. It was lovely atmosphere and very clean,Would definitely recommend and will be going again soon ☺️
