The food was really good and the service we had from Kiran was great. No complaints, I would definitely recommend. Great spot 👌

They took ages to serve us then when they did, they only brought a meal for one and yet we had ordered for 2. It was after my partner had gone to ask that they brought the food. We had actually placed our order over the phone when we were 15 minutes away and yet we sat another 20 minutes before the first meal came. The food was great and the atmosphere wonderful. If not for that, we were never going back again.

I’m so saddened by this as I got an old bottle of Fanta that was not even fizzy. The soup said with swallow I didn’t recieve any swallow I’m so dissapointed coz the fanta is suppose to be fizzy meaning it’s expired and not good 👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾

I have not ate the food I bought. I bought pounded yam and okra soup. the smell of the bag and plate smells horrible. the okra soup is very watery... I literally wasted my money. I will never order from here again.

I ordered peppered beef but a meat assortment of liver sharki and ponmo was delivered…. I do not eat those parts. I ordered jollof and turkey, a tiny piece of turkey and chicken thigh was served. The chicken had a fowl smell and the tiny piece of turkey was so hard to chew… I’m totally displeased

First time ordering from here or trying anything like this! I ordered the egusi and poundedyam, both were beautiful! Will definitely be ordering again 😊

Food was ok, not worth the price , we ordered Uber eats it was my mums birthday was excited , but was a let down! Food portions was soo small you’re paying £12.00 for two pieces fried chicken in a small box with full Of rice 🤨 never going to order again! Be aware guys!

This was one of the first times I ate at @afrikanarestaurantlounge but I’ve definitely been back a few times since. I really wanted to have okra soup but there wasn’t any 😤😤. Unfortunately, this has happened to me here before and I’ve had to order something else. One of the things they do really well here is nkwobi (spicy cow foot) which is an Igbo delicacy made of palm oil, ugba, pepper, fresh utazi leaves or bitter leaf, ehuru seeds, edible potash and cow foot. You know I had to go and learn how to make it because it’s a 10/10 dish. If you do not like cow foot, this is not for you! The portion size is generous so I would not order a main meal (don’t be like me) if you want to finish your food 🤣. We also had the Ogbono soup and Egusi soup. These were very mid in my opinion but the way that the poundo was smooooooth 😮‍💨. The venue is really dark inside 😫 which can be annoying as eating is often a visual experience. Ring the restaurant before you go to make sure they’re open and to check if they have what you want to eat. There has been at least 2 occasions I’ve gone there and the restaurant has been closed (no info on Google) which is always disappointing.

Went to eat here today Restaurant is slightly closed off with shutters down on the side of entrance Interior is nice however slightly dim lighting I liked the entertainment/music Wife had the Fried Rice and Beef - 8/10 rating I had the Egusi & pounded yam 7/10 Suya to take away was 🔥 Great news hearing they’ll be on UberEats, Deliveroo and Justeat soon
