First time ordering from here. I’d heard good things and was not disappointed. Used their online order service and got 15% discount (off 1st order). Food arrived nice and hot within half an hour of ordering. Pizza was delicious- quality ingredients, eg nice big chunks of chicken. My daughter was pleased with her sausage supper too (though less chips in the portion than most chippies do).

Have used Adios for last couple of years, as my wife is Coeliac/Gluten Free and they do a GF options on Monday’s.Been very good, about a year ago, they hadn’t for some reason been able to change oils as normal and apologised that on that particular Monday couldn’t do gluten free. Which I thought was a very good honest “Plus”.A couple of weeks ago unfortunately my wife was seriously ill 2 to 3 hours after her regular fish supper meal.the meals are kept separate, wrapped individually (I’m not GF) and GF is marked. They looked different, but unfortunately there must have been some cross contamination. Unfortunately Adios is now off our list as this is a serious health issue for my wife.

This is the third time in recent months I have been let down by adios. I didn't grudge paying their premium prices because the food used to be higher quality but recently the quality has seriously nose dived along with the service, once again they forgot to add salt and vinegar to our suppers which only highlighted the dry overcooked fish, twice I have been given garlic mayo instead of tartare sauce and considering its £10 a supper the stingy handful of chips is the final nail in the coffin for me, I hope they can sort themselves out because it used to be one of the best chippies in ek

Pick up as usual our order which we have been getting 2/3 a week during lockdown we travel from strathaven as food amazing and staff are amazing a big shout out to the pizza chef who took my order tonight perfect and great menu.

Superb Fish and Chip shop in East Kilbride who offer so much more than just fish and chips. Both my mum and I are coeliac and we could not ask for more when it comes to gluten free offerings. Every Monday is gluten free Monday in their shop and the food is simply delicious. Pizza, pasta, gf sausage, onion rings, fish.. I don’t think there is anything more they could offer! 5 stars for Adio’s! Always fresh and service is fantastic.

Fish tacos are insane. Special fish suppers to die for and Cajun Chicken pasta is so delicious. Staff are always well turned out, polite and friendly and the place is immaculate. My family, friends and I wouldn't go anywhere else. So to the Adios team thank you for making our take away nights a delight.

On the evening of Tuesday May 5th I ordered from Adio's for collection during the government lockdown. Something I've been doing many times over the past few weeks, thinking I was doing my bit to support a local business during these unprecedented times.Imagine my surprise upon phoning to order a Sausage Supper & a portion of Hot 'n' Spicy Chips to be told this order came to £10.90. The price of the Sausage Supper on the menu was an already eye watering £5.50 (Most expensive price for a Sausage Supper in East Kilbride) & the Hot 'n' Spicy Chips were priced at £4. Now including a 5p carrier bag charge the order should have come to £9.55.£10.90, I was told the total came about because prices were up & there had been an additional card charge of 50p (Paying extra for paying by card was made illegal from January 13th 2018).Prices going up is fair enough but taking that into account it would have been an additional 85p, not £1.35 (50p of which was the illegal card charge)I collected my order & spoke to the employee. He tried to say "It's not illegal to charge an additional fee for paying by card over the phone" When I queried the charge of 50p he said "We (Adio's) are actually getting charged 85p per card transaction" Absolute rubbish, in business you wouldn't be taking a 35p hit for every card transaction you accepted over the phone even if the 50p charge was legal.It has now been reported to trading standards for their attention & hopeful investigation. I will of course be providing previous bank transaction details from Adio's showing until tonight Tuesday May 5th I hadn't been getting charged any additional fee for paying by card going by the menu pricing on their website which I have saved.One previous order on April 18th had been a Sausage Supper at £5.50 + carrier bag charge of 5p. My card charge on that occasion was charged at the correct £5.55 price.That's all the thanks you get for giving a local business your support for weeks during these times. Suddenly they think it's ok to rip their customers off with illegal card charges. My advice give this establishment a wide berth. I'll never give Adio's any orders or support again. Avoid!

we ordered the fish supper with single fish food was warm and great portion size also was tasty and delicious would recommend

Ordered a family pizza meal for collection, once collected the pizza was undercooked. This was clearly down to them forgetting to put it on. Phone up to complain they said they would send another to the house. Pizza arrived 40min later, (I stay 0.5miles away from the shop) and was burned. Disappointing as this is usually one of my faviouret places to get a pizza from.

Popped round before visiting a relative in hospital. Reasonably priced and lots of choice. Even a decent selection for children -portions are great. I opted for small fish supper and glad I hadn't decided to go large as was perfect portion size.

I wasn't suprised when I came to this page and found so many "terrible" reviews.This place is a shambles.Phoned for a collection order, which was read back and spot on, just a shame they can't communicate between their workers, as went to collect and totally wrong.This aint the first time this has happened but will certainly be the last, we won't be back.Food is tasteless, service is poor, and you are guaranteed that you will need to wait for your order as nothing is ever ready (suppose that means freshly cooked??)Find somewhere else

We purchased a single black pudding with a large portion of chips for sharing. Never again, the black pudding was dry and tasteless and the portion of chips wasnt even as big as a small portion from any other chippy! Soggy and lukewarm, a total waste of money. Well named, adios!

Terrible service, girl couldn't be bothered, waited for 20 mins - ordered pizza and girl said we come back in 10 mins - came back and had to wait in queue for another 20 minutes to collect - very bad organisation - no real system in place

My family used this chippy for a number of years, but over the past year it's been terrible. Ordered takeaway tonight, was told it would be 45 minutes, and yet again we waited and waited. Had to phone and chase our order twice. Eventuallly came - chips cold, scotch pies undercooked. Won't bother taking the chance again, will go elsewhere.

Phoned for delivery at 17.42 told would arrive within 45 mins finally arrived at 19.22 fish was like rubber and chips not nice first and last time I'll use this chippy

Everything done fresh and never had anything greasy i drive across EK to here for food/suppers wont go anywhere else

I've not once had a disappointing meal from here yet. Some chip shops can be quite greasy but this never is! Sausage supper, fish, steak pie, pizzas all been devoured by this household.

Always a good chippy this..always freshly cooked which means you may need to wait a bit but its worth it to get it fresh

We’ve ordered takeaways from here on few occasions and they find it hard to get the order correct, always stuff missing from delivery and when complained it’s as if the staff couldn’t care less. Avoid at all costs and will never use again.

Good fish and chips although never seems any ready..so a bit of a wait..however tasty and nice littletouch the wee tub of coleslaw...good menu selection ... pity they still do not do deliveries despite promises

Another eatery near Lidl's. Quick service and parking outside. Wide choice of products. Ideal for a quick carry-out after shopping.

Went on a Monday night, ordered 2 x fish suppers, the server asked do i want small or large, just as she asked another server was wrapping up a fish supper and i said what size is that and she said a small, i was shocked at how small it was so i opted for large i.e two pieces of fish but still tiny.

Been here many times, the original owner had his daughter in charge and although expensive, it was really good.

Adios Chippy is located in the St James Retail Centre in East Kilbride. Think yellow painted foreign in look, & it's something that looks like it wouldn't be out of place in Mexico.

We’ve used this place regularly since it opened. Not anymore, it’s gone downhill in the last six months and we’ll not be back. I’d gone in for a quick convenience dinner to take away. I ordered lemon sole. After waiting over 20 minutes on fish that takes 3 minutes max to fry, I asked what was going on. I was told we’ve been busy. Now there were 6 customers in front of me. The staff couldn’t have cared less frankly. The food from the place is below average now. I’d not waste your time or hard earned cash on a place that doesn’t care about its customers or the food it serves.
