Service could be a lot better. Ambience poor. Menu basic. Food dry and tasteless. Surprised this is no 2 on tripadvisor.

The food was good and plentiful. The ambience is pleasant. The service is okay, although we did have to ask for water, a refill on our drink, and the bill. The sirloin steak was cooked perfectly. The chicken curry was delicious. The portions were very large. The prices are very reasonable. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who is in Portrush.

Pretty rude service. The waitress slammed the water pitcher on the table. No one came to take our order so we left. They mention they have an award-winning chef, if so, I find that surprising because the menu was pretty basic.

Food was great but service was very slow didn't seem to have enough staff on we would try again though

The AMAZING EXPERIENCE begins the minute you put your foot over the door of the Adelphi Bistro. We were welcomed with a very friendly smile and brought to our seats. My Gluten Free Beer Battered Fish and Chips were out of THIS WORLD. The portion was FANTASTIC, the flavour was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Our food arrived incredibly fast and my food had Gluten Free stickers placed subtly on my plate. The staff were so friendly and attentive. I couldn't fault ANYTHING. The Adelphi has a vast GF menu. You won't be disappointed

Four of us We had two meals hear, the food was absolutely tip top, roast beef that just melted in your mouth all the food was at a high standard. The waitress was real excellent, cheerful went the extra mile to make the experience that bit special. The surroundings is pleasant with soft music. Prices are reasonable not expensive at all. Can really recommend this place this is one to try.

A beautiful meal, excellent gluten free menu separate to main menu with plenty of choice, knowledgable staff, food beautifully presented and gluten free options labelled as delivered to table. Felt safe, hassle free and was delicious! Thank you!

Top Marks to this restaurant for having a GF menu filled with a variety of choices. We had the Goats Cheese and pear starter which we enjoyed. The chicken curry half and half was delicious. The plates all contained a GF sticker which was excellent. I was delighted to see a GF banoffee pie but simply did not have the room to order it. I will be back to sample it again.

Arrived early for our 2.15 booking, no problem we’re seated promptly. Have been using the Adelphi lately as we find the food both good quality and good portions and you are not crammed against the next table. Tony and staff friendly and helpful. See you soon.

Polite and friendly staff. Warm and comfortable surroundings. We opted for prawn cocktail for starters ; prawns were plump and delicious served with a most tasty salad incl. cucumber, peppers and red onion with dressing & lemon. For our main we both chose the grilled chicken with tobacco onions, pepper sauce and side serving of champ ; again, everything was really cooked well and delicious, also such a good portion I couldn't finish it. Average pricing but it was most surely a quality meal. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend you choose this restaurant.

Went to Adelphi bistro last night it was very busy luckily had booked. Shown to table surprised by amount of gluten free options. I had the gluten free chilli beef pita and side it was lovely. Wife had curry big portions it was fab the service was great Tony and the two girls were very good. Will definitely be back when in portrush recommend it.

I booked a table here tonight! Was shown to my table, 15 minutes later waitress came to take drinks order! Bottle wine and water. 15 minutes after ordering my wine appeared, no sample was offered, which was strange. No water either! 30 minutes since seating and they eventually come to take my order: Chicken Mozzarella Pan fried chicken, roasted Mediterranean veg, mozzarella, dijon mustard & pepper sauce! Mediterranean vegetables amounted to diced peppers on top of chicken., side order of champ. (I strongly believe the peppers were frozen due to excess of water on my plate). It took this a long time to arrive, restaurant was not even half full. Waitress came & apologised as there was some mix up with my order, & offered me a free drink, I declined as I had a bottle of wine, so she stated she would discount the bill & asked was there anything else I needed, I explained I had asked for water as well, which never materialised, so she brought be a glass of water! 2 minutes later my main course arrived. Dish was tasty, but defo not nearly as appealing as description. There was no taste of Dijon mustard and it was swimming in water. The only saving Grace was the champ. The pepper sauce was not required but I used it anyway! Dessert was banoffee pie, except it wasn’t banoffee pie ! Banoffee pie consists of biscuit base, layered bananas and then caramel & fresh cream! This was caramel tart with sliced bananas on top, with mint leaf & blueberry…. Waitress brought bill to me and when she saw me checking it, she then stated “oh yes I was supposed to take something of your bill!) I was comped basically the dessert which was ok. Would I return? NO. Portrush has a vast array of restaurants and unfortunately tonight I chose incorrectly.

We ate here whilst on a business trip. We were made to feel very welcome. I had what I would describe as a deconstructed prawn cocktail followed by chicken breast and garlic fries. Both were delicious and I am just disappointed that I was too full to sample the sticky toffee pudding. My colleague had garlic mushrooms followed by the beef burger. Sirloin steak zou medium rare moeten zijn maar was meer doorbakken. Weinig entourage er omheen. Weinig moeite gedaan om het er mooi uit te laten zien. Voor ons niet de waardering die vele geven.

We took a day trip to Portrush and prior to that my partner researched for somewhere that catered for my coeliac daughter and came across this fabulous restaurant. It’s the first time since diagnosed that she has been able to have a 3 course meal and thoroughly enjoyed it. She was delighted to be presented with a proper menu with lots of different choices and loved the wee stickers on the plates- she has come home with them and is wearing them proudly!

This place was recommend for dinner by local B&B.; Presentation was nice and food was tasty. with good service provided and great value. Would recommend Adelphi Bistro and would return for dinner again.

Have eat in the Adelphi in many occasions without fault food and service always first class. Would recommend to anyone visiting please try and u won’t be disappointed.

Booked here for an evening meal and it didn't disappoint. Wife has coeliacs and has to have a Gluten free diet. Great menu with lots of choice. However show stoppers have to be the desserts , I had the Tangy Lemon Fool loaded with cream and lemon curd which is also Gluten free, I think it's the first time in many a year that I was tempted to lick the bowl , however made do with practically taking pattern of plate. Friendly staff , great service , great food, but most of all Great Gluten free choice. Well worth a visit if on your Summer Hols.

Late arrival in Portrush on a Rabbies tour. Hard to get a meal however Adeplhi a more than satisfactory option. Good and varied menu, ice with the drinks as it was a warm night and reasonably priced. Easy to recommend in the centre of town.

Had dinner here tonight, have to say the staff really need customer awareness training. We stood for ages waiting on someone coming to seat us, two people walked past us and ignored us. My husband had to actually to rise his voice to attract staff. The food was just ok and I've made better myself. Chicken gougons were over cooked, and who puts mustard into champ. Half way threw our dinner a lady asked was everything OK, I'm sure it was a last minute thought. Our dinner was finished and we had to wait a while to be asked if we wanted dessert, while staff stood around and talked, by this stage most of people in the restaurant had gone, so it's not like it was busy. The food is not what I'd expect from a four star hotel, I've been in cafes with better food. Give it a miss.

We had an evening meal at Adelphi in Portrush on a Monday evening. Having set off to eat at the Tapas restaurant opposite, we found it shut on a Monday, even though shown as “open”! We all had a main course & a sweet, washed down with a decent Guinness! Three of the party had the lamb shank which was a decent size & served on a potato mash with vegetables. My wife certain enjoyed hers! I ordered sea bass but unfortunately unavailable so I had the fish and chips. It was fine but chips were only average. The highlight of the meal was the sticky tot pudding which was excellent! Price was reasonable £80 for 4 for a 2 course meal and a round of drinks. Service varied & clearing plates before all diners had finished their sweet course, not the best way to impress!

Went the week of the golf open and had booked. Was so disappointed with the scaled down menu because it was the open. Was this not a chance to shine with the menu. If it would not have seemed rude we would have left when we read the menu choices. Coukd the website not have been updated to say there was a change as no matter where we go we usually check the menu first. Have been to the bistro many times in the past but don’t think we will be back. Staff were also too busy catching up on love island to serve. Background music far too loud

Have stayed here on previous occasions, staff are very attentive, excell t choice on menu and great value for money. Would definetly recommend this hidden gem.

We've been here twice in the past week. Once as a couple and then a small party. First impressions of the place: very clean, bright, modern and a welcoming vibe. The toilets were spotless. The food was excellent ( that's why we returned) Not one gripe regarding the quality or size of portions. And then the staff: they were very friendly and helpful but, my goodness, the overall service was dreadful, as in - really bad. The drinks were ordered three times; twice they forgot different drinks. There was a perfunctory "is everything allright?" in passing from a waitress. After the meal we waited, and waited to see if somebody would come to take a dessert order. The staff had disappeared ! Eventually, the table was cleared but still no order taken. At last, we attracted the notice of a server who had ventured out into the public arena. All desserts were ordered - they were excellent. Then, another interminable wait until we were able to ask for our bill. So overall: fab food let down by sloppy service. It hasn't put us off going back but it needs addressed.

Scarcity of staff! I would not like to go to this restaurant at the weekend as the staff can't cope through the week. They are run of their feet. Shame on the owners. 45 minutes waiting on desert, asked once and finally gave up. This soured the whole experience of going out for a nice meal as a family. This has happened before but will not be happening again as we won't be back. Hopefully, the boss will realise that cutting corners e.g. staff, loses customers. I'm scoring 1 as the dining experience was ruined.
