What a great find for lunch home baked ham cherry tomato and lettuce on brown bloomer, very tasty very moorish served with a cup of delicious veg soup, my partner had a bowl of this soup with wheaten and delighted at its depth of flavour, if your in Coleraine check it out.

Best coffee in Coleraine - well worth a visit. But why restrict yourself to just a coffee - the freshly made scones each day are great - and my favourite has to the be the smoked salmon, poached eggs and smashed avocado on sour dough toast - so tasty and satisfying.

Oh how delicious are the cakes in this shop. I could hardly decide! I had a Pecan Caramel slice, it was lush. My husband had Lemon Meringue Pie with clotted cream. It was so good.

After a long period when cafes were closed, it’s great to see the local independent coffee shops reopening. Enjoyed my coffee and scone, as good as ever.

Hubby had a meeting in Coleraine, not a town we know, and afterwards we were looking for a good coffee. We passed the Pear Tree, and thought we’d try it! Excellent decision!! We sat at the long counter at the window, and watched the world go by. The coffee was indeed very good, and we decided to share a sandwich. I chose the Bann, they’re all named! A large ciabatta roll, absolutely stuffed with cheese, tomatoes, red onions and lots and lots of smoked bacon! It came with 2 salads, I chose potato salad, small chunks of potato in enough, but not too much, mayo with chives, and the superfood salad, whole grains, edamame beans, pomegranate, pumpkin seeds, all for £5.90!! Because I’d said we would share, it came on 2 plates, evenly divided sandwich and salad!Usually when you share a dish, it comes on 1 plate, with an extra plate, if you’re lucky. Above and beyond here! Nice decor, wonderful staff, just excellent!

Pear Tree has turned into one of our fav places for coffee in town Always a friendly welcome and staff are always cheery. Service is quick even when busy (which is a lot of the time!) Massive front windows which leaves the café really bright, and it's perfect for people watching! Comfy seating, plus extra room upstairs. They have an ample selection of healthy food on their menu if you're looking for a bite to eat. They usually have a good variety of scones which are melt in the mouth. Superfood salad is a fav of mine for lunch. And I've had the vegan sausage roll a few times now. Good selection of traybakes also... I highly recommend their flapjacks! Food is fresh and very tasty. Milk alternatives available for your coffee. Cappuccinos always perfect. Oh and their smoothies are really scrummy too! Have absolutely no probs recommending Pear Tree. Def worth a visit if you're in town. I'll be back soon!

The Pear Tree has an excellent range of food. We went here as family on a Saturday morning. The coffee is great, as are all the freshly baked scones - the raspberry and white chocolate scone was just yummy. Will be back soon.

The Pear Tree - great coffee, sandwiches, healthy breakfast and lunches. What is there not to like. Great location and the fastest WiFi in Coleraine all add to a great experience in a local establishment.

Ideally located at the top of the main shopping street in Coleraine, a handy spot for a sit down. Staff were friendly, coffee was good. Plenty of space for it to be busy and not feel overcrowded or too loud, decent background music too 👍

They do a slightly more unusual range, but lovely selection for when you want something that you can't get just anywhere. Staff are welcoming, and hardworking. They've put a lot of effort into making the place look well, and the crockery is lovely.

I visit Pear Tree at least once a week for coffee and cake or lunch. The food is lovely, staff are helpful and courteous and on a sunny day it's lovely to sit outside. Pear Tree is a keeper.

Loved our lunch here so much we've been back 3 times already. We've always struggled to find somewhere we really liked in Coleraine, lots of ok and acceptable places, but now we've found our new default coffee/lunch destination. The coffee is well made and tastes great and there is a good selection of food on offer.Upstairs looks a really lovely place to sit, and once we're buggy free we'll give that a try too, but downstairs still has it's own charm.

Came here for lunch on 12th July - great "Rathmore" sandwich with superfood and coleslaw side salad. Great portion size, on healthy brown bread, and so tasty. Followed by their excellent unique Americano. Can't wait to return for more lively food and great tasting coffee.

First time in here and very impressed. Although they don't have a Gluten Free menu they do have GF breads and scones etc. Service but a bit slow but very friendly, that said it was very busy when we were there. The place is well laid out with an upstairs and outside seating, bathroom and each area are spotlessly clean and well maintained. I had a Chicken & bacon sandwich which was almost a full meal. Well worth a visit if your in the area. I would have given 5 rather than 4 if they had more GF options.

I visit a lot of cafés but PearTree Coleraine is my favourite. I returned today to find they have updated their menu and added some lovely new additions, I had a cheese and tomatoe pizza slice which was amazing and a Oreo Muffin which I would highly recommend. Best Flat White for miles as usual. Great staff who always thank you when leaving.

Called in for breakfast 2 weeks ago, a man was using an e cigarette, 2 other customers complained to the owner, who apologised and said he would speak to him, called in this morning and the same man was there still using an e cigarette, a lady who was leaving spoke to him and complained, he was less than nice to her and said he was allowed to use it, if the owner of this cafe is willing to lose customers because of this 1 person, to the owner I say this, either sort this out or you won’t be in business too long.

We called in for brunch and the menu seemed original, we ordered soup and pouched eggs with avocado on sour dough , we were pleasantly surprised as the portions were generous and it tasted delicious. It is a little bit pricey but you get what you pay for , it was a nice treat on a late Sat morning. It would be nice to have more salads to choose from ( just a thought ) but we will definitely be coming back.

I thought I would try this café this afternoon. It was relatively busy but tables still available. I went to the counter, there were no other customers there, and waited at the glass counter where the salads were displayed. I was holding my 3 year old daughter as she was tired from walking. There was a member of staff sorting the salads, but she could clearly see me as she was right in front of me, facing me. She purposely avoided making eye contact and continued to mix tuna in a bowl. At this point the queue was getting longer and we were all waiting to get served. A simple gesture would have been suffice, even to acknowledge us and say she would be with us in a minute. This continued for 5-6 minutes, and at that point I decided to leave and give another café my business. Very bad customer service and manners.

On a wet ,miserable, stormy day we found this little gem! Great choice of food, breads, sandwich fillings, scones & soup. Lovely coffee. Just one downside--the pony-tailed girl serving us was so distracted by the guy she was chatting to, sitting behind us, that we had to repeat our orders. The whole visit-she chatted 'over us' to him! That aside--well worth a visit!

We had been in previously for a coffee and thought the food looked lovely. Yesterday we called in late morning for brunch. The staff were friendly and helpful, we ordered the smashed avocado with poached eggs which was beautifully cooked and very tasty. My daughter ordered the chicken and chorizo pasta that she said was lovely. The coffee was very nice and they stock my favourite Earl Grey tea so we were happy. The traybakes and cookies looked lovely, so we'll try those next time!

The positives are that the place is really cool inside, and it has real potential plus the coffee was well brewed. We went on a Sunday, and even though it’s a small menu they didn’t have two of the things we initially ordered. The staff were overrun and the consequence was the service was slow and they weren’t able to clear tables, in fact people were doing it themselves. And without cleaning clothes the tables were sticky. The food was poorly presented, with absolutely no garnish whatsoever on the side of the sandwich, and the sandwich itself was made with dry (almost stale) bread. It maybe we caught it on a bad day, but we weren’t impressed.

This is a new coffee shop in Coleraine - one of many. However, the Pear Tree really does stand head and shoulders above the rest. The quality of the coffee is excellent - full of flavour and very refreshing. The decor is great, service superb, and as is standard - complimentary WiFi. The "berry pancake stack" is a treat for anyone!

A miserable rainy day in Coleraine forced my sister and I to urgently find somewhere to shelter and have lunch. Pear Tree looked the ticket. Excellent choice!! It’s always a risk trying somewhere new however we were very pleasantly surprised. THE BEST yes THE BEST chicken mozzarella pesto and sunblush tomato sub roll ever. So fresh so tasty and such a delight. Will defo be back!! Highly recommend this place it’s very clean the staff were lovely they could teach some cafe staff from Belfast a thing or two about customer care. Very well done Pear Tree!!

I visited Pear Tree with friends when it first opened, it’s a beautifully decorated cafe that is actually locally owned which is great to see. The food was fantastic from the poached eggs on sourdough bread with bacon and avocado to the fresh and light soups and salads. I have become a regular customer now as I find their coffee to be the best in town, I even bought a bag to brew at home and the staff make me feel welcome every time I visit. Not to be missed if your nearby.

We were there 3 days in a row last week. The place was very clean, efficient, very friendly and helpful staff. Coffee was very good, the cakes excellent as was the ice cream. The prices were completely acceptable. The last day there was a tall blonde lady working I have seldom seen anyone so effective, efficient and friendly. All the staff were brilliant. Anytime we are in portrush we will definitely be visiting Morellis Portrush

What a disappointing visit. No cod or pizza available despite being on the menu. 2 glasses of Coke arrived completely flat. Waited 25 minutes for food when it was quiet. No baby changing facilities available, asked at reception and was told to use the toilets in the hall, men’s and woman’s, no baby changing in the men’s. Sanitizer empty at the men’s toilets, also empty on the entrance to Leonas, (now located in the bar area of the hotel, very cold and not what you would expect a tea room to look like). Very very expensive. Top hat £2.70??? Food was very poor quality. Frozen chips and goujons from lynas. At the prices they charge this is not acceptable.
