The food is immaculate there I love the kebabs and fish especially it just melts in your mouth it’s absolutely amazing!

By far the best chippy we've ever had even after moving 5+miles away we still make the trip over purely for the kebabs 🤤 the garlic sauce is bloody out of this world.

Unreal chippy food. Fishcakes are unreal but have nothing on the mixed kebabs. We drive over 5 miles to get food from here. Defo recommended

Got 2 meal deals with peas and gravy. Staff are always very friendly and food is delicious.

We been using this shop years it sold best kabas going but now I don't know what been used in it but strong resemblance to dry sawdust tastes it has non the old one where grate new one are bloody rubbish

As usual food very good quality and hot. For me, although there is no delivery service, this is the best chippy in Newcastle and well worth ordering in advance and collecting at a time that is convenient for you.

The place is slowly going down hill poor kebab meat it must be the cheap 60/40 most of the chips are ends the prices are high theirs far more better quality chip shops around the area

It is a shame this fish shop does not deliver. In my opinion it is the best in Newcastle with tasty, hot food at good prices and a comprehensive range of food. My partner went and collected our meals but I would have willingly paid extra for delivery.

Hidden gem of Newcastle, best Kebab and portions.

I have gone to this fish shop lots in the past but this is the first time I have ordered a collection and paid in advance. A shame they are unable to deliver but will definitely order from them in the future.

Didn't receive it due to.the misleading website nor have I got any refund

Honest review here, i ordered fishcakes and would not order them again. Cod fish was pretty good but lacked seasoning. The chips had no salt and vinegar which should be standard to at least put salt. The donner kebab was not the best quality and not much flavour. I asked for no salad and sauce on burger but it came with salad and sauce. I think get better donner meat and season your batter better and the fishcakes tasted bland rubbery and no seasoning. The chilli sauce was again lacking seasoning otherwise a good chilli sauce. You guys need to season your food better.

Im 35 now and this has been the best chippy not only in the north east but the entire uk. I grew up having food from here no less than once a fortnight. In my early adult life I moved to North Yorkshire fir 16 years where i could not bring myself to go to any chippy as it was just not the same. Now am back in the toon. Iv realised just how much iv missed this place. Still the best always will be.

Fish and chips were wonderful as always and super hot when we got them home. Only issue was the mushy peas were very runny, which was both disappointing and surprising as they are usually perfect. Hence the loss of a star on this occasion. I expect to be back to the full 5 star grade next time. NOTE: restaurant service is not applicable but it would not let me submit my review without awarding stars to that bit. I therefore awarded a single token star, but this should be ignored all together in the assessment!

I've been dreaming of this meal so many times but as I've been shielding I wasn't able to have it. This time my son was able to collect for me and I have to say it was worth the wait. Absolutely gorgeous!!!!

Been coming here since I was a teenager, best chippy. Lovely fresh food, great service, and great value for money.

Very good value a big serving of chips for what you pay, chips served in paper, no unnecessary cartons, I would go out my way for this chippy.

Not bad fish and chips, but laughable packaging. Grease easily seeps through the paper.

It's a shame as it's a lovely clean shop with friendly staff but when ever u get your chips they have been sitting and are not fresh I pay for fresh food not old

Really good food, great prices and not bad customer service.

Food is very good, order from here alot, I'm not going to say it's the best chip shop in the whole country but it is definitely one that I would recommend and will order from again, the food is always ready on time and the one time a mistake was made it was quickly rectified and I was even given a free bottle of pop for the mistake, I would recommend the fish cakes, chip butties, chicken nuggets and the jumbo sausage.

Always get food from here. Only thing I can say is they forgot to put my sauces in which I mentioned when I was there and they quickly rectified it but it was extremely busy at the time and also the salad could have been more finely chopped but you cannot beat their food or their prices. Best place and I will always order from here.
