Ace Creams & Tapas in Havering

I love the place it's a very cute area and food is delicious. But my big concern is that they say they close at 9 pm I go to get boba at 7pm and the shop is closed.This is happend 2 times and I am getting annoyed.Today I came at 7:45pm to get a nice boba tea and store was closed.And to be honest the options of flavored boba bubbles is quite little. I really love the place but please do not close 2 hours before your closing schedule as you could have gotten more happy customers but yeah thank you and hope you can change this problem

Can someone please explain to me why its *closed*, me and my sister were just there, infront of the shop and it was closed even though the site says its, "open" and this was checked, *10 weeks ago*, A lady that was passing by us, was also enquiring this saying its been closed for, "weeks". This is unacceptable and bewildering knowing that the shop itself sells really good ice cream and at a reasonable price, also knowing how it's one of the *only* dessert shops I know of in upminister. This is really appalling. Please re-open. 🙏

Really disappointed waffles are half the size off what they used to be with not much topping on them sadly I won’t be using again especially when I can go elsewhere and get the size they normally are for a fraction of the price with the correct amount off toppings on them

awful experience. Took over 40 mins for rest of order to come. All ordered at same time. Rest of party had finished eating, they placed drinks on wrong table, no apologises. Won’t be returning. Extremely bad customer service

Cake delivered that was rammed in a milkshake cup! Items also missing. Then refused to deliver correct replacements.

Not recommend... Waffles were raw and taste like pancakes not like waffle ... I do understand it was cheap but it could looks and taste better for this price... Also bubble tea were really bad... At least I got nice cold water.

Shocking service, waited 25 minutes in the queue. Tried to order waffle and crepes and was told we would need to wait atleast another 20 minutes for waffles to be made as there was customer also queuing for icecream and that was a priority.

Fabulous service, really attentive and friendly staff and delicious ice cream!

Although we did eat lunch here, it is more for desserts. The food was ok but the service was brilliant and so were the milkshakes - probably the best we've had. The server couldn't have done enough for us, especially with our newborn in toe - he offered to warm bottles and tell us where the changing area was before I even asked. He was really polite and attentive.

First time visiting in a while. There were 6 of us. Bubble tea not really that nice. No sorbet although clearly advertised. Bit pricey ice cream far to lumpy.

Nice little desert venue in a nice town. Pay your staff more whoever the owner is, they deserve it.

Tasty milkshake but a bit on the expensive side.

The place looks nice, the staff are friendly, but service could be better for the prices they charge. For example, ice-cream could be made to look a lot prettier and more fun 🙂

I ordered a cookie dough stuffed waffle and there was no cookie dough at all. Disappointed really but overall it was delicious

Ordered the New York cheesecake if that’s what u want to call it !! Absolute disgusting never have I had a cheesecake like that all soggy even the base never again terrible

Staff managed to mess up a waffle order twice. Also they never brought over drinks that were paid for. When I asked for a refund there was no apology for the poor service.

Clean and tidy. When it was creams franchise it was amazing . Great portion and tastes . Looks like a change in ownership and everything comes out different . I will be sticking to creams going forward

Reasonable, the pancakes were very thick and claggy, you get a fair amount but it is a little pricey. Staff are nice and it's kept pretty clean.

Sorry this isn't a review on food but wanted to say a HUGE thank you to the gentleman ( who works there) who came to my aid today We were on our way to Sorrentos but all of a sudden my ankle went and I fell flat on my face The guy was fantastic and helped me so much My chin and lip were bleeding so.much he really helped us

Using Just Eat to order. Order placed just after 3.30pm, order acknowledgement at 3.41pm. Estimated delivery time given of 4.45pm. Phoned restaurant at 5.07pm to get an update. Excuses given that lots of orders came, it got manic and that it takes a bit of time to get from Upminster to South Ockendon. All these things should be taken into account when giving an estimated delivery time. When the 3 cookie doughs arrived, they were cold and the ice cream alongside had melted. A poor first time experience.

What a great find. Sad to see it was so quiet. You order and pay online using a QR code/app which is brilliant, so COVID compliant. The coffee was lovely. The girls serving were great. They were promoting outside to get more custom. Will definately go back and would highly recommend it!!

Visited here at 1.30pm today and had excellent service from the girl behind the till called Abbie. She helped us with he app and online ordering... very easy... Food was delicious and well presented will defo be back

Waited forever for the order 3 times spoke with the staff they said 1 minute they gonna do it after an hour more waiting ask for refund which take another hour or more. Terrible service do not go there

awful. Used app as requested by staff had to cancel after waiting for so long. No social distancing, adults wandering in and out, children running wild. No distance between tables so had to squeeze our family together to keep to 1m rule. Young girl on til very sympathetic and apologetic, full refund given and was offered complimentary drinks which we declined.

Had to wait 40 mins for an ice cream cone once I ordered after waiting 20 mins to order. Two people got served before me that came after me. How long does it take to put a scoop of ice cream on a cone? Not to mention during the first half hour I only saw 1 person actually get any food! The second bad experience there. Will not be going back!

Not even worth 1 star!!! AVOID Appalling experience here tonight, Arrived at 7.20pm and sat down, took over half an hour for the dirty plates from previous sittings to be removed from our table, We each ordered on the app (3 of us at the same time) One friend received her crepe after about half an hour, I waited a a full hour after I had ordered and no crepe in sight so I went up and had to ask for it to be made... it wasn’t even busy there were about 5 tables in there, (less than half capacity) it seemed they just give priority to those taking away!! Dread to think how they handle it at full capacity! So finally after an hour of waiting my crepe arrives (friend had long finished hers and my other friend’s jacket potato arrived but was inedible so she left it and ordered a crepe instead) My crepe was the worst I have ever had it was hard and cold! Even though it had just been cooked supposedly? Hardly any sauce on it either so left most of it! When my friends crepe arrived she had ordered maple syrup and strawberries and it arrived without any strawberries? Only one of two toppings.. really is it that hard? Male manager’s attitude is awful and really rude to us- will not be returning, needs new management or shutting down

Arrived there at 8.40pm, the lady behind the counter advised that they have a lot of orders to go through so we would have to wait. Wasn't a problem, all we wanted was an ice cream and a milkshake so we didn't mind waiting. There then formed a que behind us to which we advised them the same thing the staff member told us. 10 minutes later she asked everyone else if they're waiting to place an order for takeaway, everyone said yes. She then rudely turned everyone away telling us that they were not serving anymore and are closing. Very disappointed that she let us sit outside for 10 minutes after asking us to wait just to tell us to leave. Off to the real Creams we go.

Sitting here for over half an hour and still waiting for our order. The poor girl is trying her best but has been left on her own serving, making orders and trying to deal with a queue going out the door. Can the managers please help your staff out! The 3rd time I've tried and think will be my last shame as it could be a good place.

Been in here for an hour and the food still ain’t come. Waited at the till to order for 1/2 an hour just for her to eventually tell us to order it online. Ordered a cookie dough online and I said I was gonna said 30 mins and it’s 45 minutes later and the food still ain’t come. If u wanna go to a dessert place go Kaspas in romford. Waiter was working by herself and had to serve 15 customer by herself.

So I ordered milkshake and crepes for me and my mate on just eat last night. Was told it would be delivered by 8:50pm. I called them at 9:20pm to be told they are waiting for drivers to come back so I accepted that then I called again at 9:45pm to be told it will be delivered at 9:55pm it arrived around 10:50pm. Not only was it 2 hours late the milkshake was melted & just disgusting & the crepes were cold & not nice at all so I asked for my money back only to be told they won't refund the meal & are sorry for the delay but hope I enjoyed the meal. This takes the absolute piss considering I was a 10 min drive away from the restaurant. If I ever get desperate to order again from here ill walk & collect it at least then it would be quicker

Review is in combination of eating in the restaurant and ordering items for delivery. Food and treats are always wonderful. very tasty and highly recommended. 5 out of 5 ordering for delivery is a different manner. quality of food is still great, but delivery times are usually alot longer than advertised and almost half of the time items are missing. If you order from here, i highly advise you call the place and repeat your order to them in person to actually get all the items you ordered. Apologies that the review must be made here, but there was nowhere else i was able to place it; website used was Just Eat

Amazing service Great food Polite

I had a white chocolate crepe and I have to admit I was disappointed. Was dry and the crepe was flaking and hard in places but of a hit and miss tbh

Went in with my girlfriend last week. We ordered 2 waffles, a coffee and a tap water. One waffle was brought to us, then 10 minutes later, the 2nd, then 10 minutes later the coffee. We never got the water. Service was terrible. We decided to order today. Order placed at 14.30. Order delivered, stone cold, at 16.40. Will never eat or order from here again.

Absolutely delicious milkshakes and cookie dough, I definitely recommend it to everyone. Excellent customer service and atmosphere, a fantastic experience.

The website says they close at 11 ... We arrived about 9:45 and the teenage staff said we couldn't eat in as they were closing soon ...

One of, if not the, best dessert restaurant around the area. Whether you want a dessert or a hot meal item (chicken, burger, pizza etc) they cater for both ends of the spectrum. The people who work there are really friendly and kind, and the food is delicious. When I went there I had a pizza and a milkshake, both I strongly recommend, and I am certain I will go there again!

I never knew it was hard to serve 4 people at the same time. There was only 4 of us and our order wasn't big or complicated. We were not served our ice creams together, why?? Ace banana split no chocolate shavings or wafer. Crepe was rock hard, the cookie dough ice cream wasn't served with it as requested but brought over 10 minutes later. The sundae was served as a cone!!!! One of our guests asked for two scopes of ice cream two different flavours, with soft serve ice cream, chocolate sauce and Ferrero rocher as a topping. She did not receive one of the flavours of ice cream and no chocolate sauce. I know we have to encourage young people to work however I don't feel they are professional or know how to take an order correctly or how to produce an order correctly I will not be returning.

This place has seriously gone down hill, the service is poor and slow. We ordered pancakes that were like rubber and far too thick, the ice cream with it tasted off. Will not be returning, such a shame as it used to be awesome ..

Most people don’t know this but they do hot food as well as deserts. Ordered A BBQ Chicken pizza and freshly squeezed orange juice, the pizza is homemade and AMAZING!!! Orange juice was definitely freshly squeezed and very refreshing.

My kids and I ate here today. Staff are very friendly welcoming and kind. We ordered bagels and pizzas the quality and quantity was perfect very tasty much better than your pizza huts. Would certainly come here again. Thank you creams Upminster. ..happy customer

Delicious ice-cream beautiful staff and service.

It's sad to see this place go so down hill. Since changing to Ace the food has become terrible. The place is always dirty. Staff couldn't be bothered to make a crepe so said the machine broke. Would rather travel to Romford to get dessert from now on.

Took hour n half to arrive. Pancakes were barely warm and other desserts werent great. First opinion. Not good.

I had my son’s birthday party at ACE Creams & Tapas recently (you can sit in either of the ACE venues, and order from the one next door). Hassan and his team were incredibly accommodating, generous, and patient with my last-minute/lack of organisation. I turned up with around twice as many people, and forgot to check dietary requirements beforehand. None of this phased the staff at all. The portions were enormous, and the food was superb. Hassan also managed to find the time to arrange a competition among the kids, and the winner was thrilled with his goodie-bag.

Me and my family ordered from here we all got sick and some of us ended in a&e we had vomiting and diahoreea never again the food was sweet. I have had cookie dough and it was good this was disgusting. For your sake dont come here You will end up in a@e

This place is horrible! Never come here unless you want to get robbed of your money for rubbish! Me and my friends got here and waited an hour for a cookie dough, crepes and pancakes we also complained 3 times! My friend bought a smoothie and it was just like pink water. Don’t come waste of money and time!

Terrible food quality. Took 2 hours and a half to come. Forgot my friends orders completely. My food came and it was hard and cold. NEVER AGAIN !!!!!!

Sooooooooo goooood! (But haven't been in two months) Better than other ice cream parlours in Havering with loads of choice. Can be busy as it takes time to make these treats. I would advised sitting in store ;)

This used to be a great desert place but the last few times I've visited it's been a real let down, portions are small and tables/toilets need a good clean. Staff have a slight issue with hygiene as the body odour was so overpowering we had to leave, this was the second time experiencing this.

Ordered 2 milkshakes when it was relatively quiet, took 15minutes for them and watched them make orders that were made after ours. Loads of staff on shift but seemed to do nothing. Some were on phone. No rush to return

Over priced in my opinion and a long waiting time when the shop was half empty.

The food was nice and reasonable priced. Unfortunately the appearance let's it down. Some of the ceramic lampshades were broken above the booths, giving a grubby appearance. Could do with a little overhaul.

Waffle was undercooked. And very small portions. Have been to other dessert places (including other Creams) where portions are better. Customer service was okay. And milkshake didn't have much flavour. Don't think I'll return in a rush to this location.

Very quiet when we went actually we were the only customers. Service was ok good food venue was nicely done up but strangely saved on cost of menu as was old and dirty.

They have dozens of rats I walked down the alley way behind the shop to see rats crawling out of there back gate I think this was due to the amount of rubbish piled outside there shop. The place smells of burnt suger. I think that they need to put in a bit more effort making it nicer for there customers, all they seem to care about is profit. This place needs to close!

I visited here for the first time the other day, and the food was very nice. A place where you can get all of your sweets and treats is a very good idea. If I was closer by, I'd be having American waffles for breakfast all of the time. My only complaint is that there isn't a all you can eat option.

Excellent ice cream and dessert selection. The staff take the time to let you try a sample to help you choose, and it's never too much trouble. Small portion or large Creams is a great place to get dessert or coffee and cake.

The first coffees we ordered took 10 minutes to make then they were cold when we got them The second lot were not made how we ordered them and eventually they got them right. But 2 pieces of cake and 2 coffees nearly £16 I expected much better. Would not visit again.

Spent nearly £100 for my son's bday treat. All order where wrong, I never received mine at all!!! Cash only! Litrally been open over a year and has been CASH ONLY the whole time... Trying to save on franchise FEEs I bet. Spoke to head office, promised me £80 worth of point when they change those new app.... Been 5 months... App has not changed and they now completely ignore me... Disgraceful! Disgusting. Whole company through.

Delicious vast range of ice cream at this shop. Open until late, other options included waffles, crepes and cake. Also milkshakes available. Very nice service, no extra cost for eating in.

Woefully understaffed for a Saturday so became immediately overwhelmed when two parties turned up. Sadly my table for two suffered, having to wait almost an hour for a pretty simple order. I had to ask after my order and then subsequently reorder. The manager was so nice and really tried to make up for the mix up so hence the additional star..!

Not bad just to much kids running arounf sjiuting and screaming everytime its never gonna be a place to chill unless they sort out tge teenager problem!!

Very nice place. The soft whip ice cream is spectacular. However some of the chair’s leather is cracked and scratched my skin.

Disappointed by my most recent visit. Have previously dined in at the Southend branch and had no complaints. Visited Upminster to get a milkshake to go, online menu was different to the printed menu in store and I was the flavour I had chosen from the website was not available. The next three choices I made were also not available as the ice cream flavours were out of stock that day. I left without making a purchase.

Took my daughter and Mum here today (6.7.18) never again! First of all we were told it is cash only which is fair enough then was asked do we want to eat in or takeaway so we said eat in! Taken to our table and told no waffles, no crepes, no milkshakes and no Oreo something or other and that the ice creams left were all they had! Also what is the point in asking are we dining in when you still have to queue in the same place as people taking out! When we got to the counter we were told no vanilla ice cream left! Isn’t that one of the most popular flavours. Literally the dregs left. Totally over rated on one of the hottest days no milkshake or ice cream only what was left! An advertisement on the desk promoting kids parties! Are they having a laugh. Never again!

Visited in a not too busy time of day maybe 6 tables occupied another 5 unavailable with previous customers eaten orders. Toilets very unclean, a horrible smell along with napkins for toilet paper and live flies all up the mirror. Decor is shabby and paintwork is peeling Could be a nice place with some extra TLC.
