What a great little place. Really friendly staff, and excellent service. We all enjoyed our lunch. I had a vegan panini, which was delicious. There's a very good range of vegan cakes. Lovely views of the Abbey too, as the name suggests. I will defi be returning next time I'm I the area. Highly recommended.

Fantastic coffee and light fare shop. Marvelous ambience and decor, with such friendly and welcoming staff. Conveniently located near the bus depot and right across one of the main venues in town, The Abbey. Divine assortment of freshly made cakes, and the coffee is equally delicious. Sandwiches and soups are served from a selection of adult and kid’s menus. They have a customer toilet and dogs are welcomed here. Very reasonable prices, for a well worth visit. Seating is limited, but it adds to the cozy ambiance. This spot is the definite gem of Jedburgh. Unreservedly recommended!

New Owner WOW!!! This THE place to go in Jedburgh, the owner will make you feel like part of the family with his witty banter, we were made to feel so welcome. We came in for coffee, myself an Americano, my partner a flat white, and must say the coffee is exceptional, with beautiful views across to the abbey, we could stay here all day. One thing to note: The owner is English, this was not a problem for us, but something to bare in mind.

Visiting Jedborough and stumbled across this little cafe with outdoor seating area. We asked for several items off the menu, e.g. a sausage for our dog, and nothing was too much trouble for them. Very friendly staff. Drinks arrived within minutes and food followed promptly. Great setting and view of Abbey whilst eating. Delicious home made soup too! Food was hot and worth the money.

Was told to take a seat and someone would take my order then got completely ignored, so I went to the counter. Staff looked bemused when I asked for a receipt. They can only send by sms or email apparently, which never arrived. When I queried it and explained I needed a VAT receipt to claim on expenses (I was away for work) the owner was rude. "NO, we're not VAT registered. We don't do that". I was going to buy a book but didn't want to give them any more of my money. I suppose with a high turnover of customers they don't need to bother too much about customer service!

We stopped here for breakfast on the way south from a holiday in Scotland. The food was acceptable but I felt it was overpriced for what it was. A fairly basic bread roll (cold) with rather limp (reheated?) bacon, a somewhat watery coffee, maybe instant as I asked for de-caff. My partners cappuccino was good but her flapjack was heavy and glutenous. With some improvements it would make for a charming cafe with its views of the abbey while sitting in the sun pouring through the windows.

Sat ourselves down and s good 10 mins before the lady came over to us, I wanted to get up and walk out but my husband was hungry so I gritted my teeth. Ordered a couple of roasties which were clearly made on a the cheapest 5 quid home toaster maker, just so basic but then my tuna mayo sandwich arrived which was even worse, the cheapest, stale thin bread spread with dry tuna mayo. Just awful. I really wouldnt bother unless you want to be ignored and spend money on c***

All very quiet given mid afternoon in Feb and we only ordered a chicken and leek soup and sausages in a roll. Prices at between 2.50 and 3.50 make it a very inexpensive place. Soup was nice and thick and tasty, and sausage quality (2) was fine on standard Scottish white roll. Latte was as my wife wanted (and rarely gets) was properly hot. Go here now before everyone else figures out what amazing value this place is! The drive through the Scottish countryside is stunning (a half-hour drive from the railway stop at Galashiels). The owners have created something special that I simultaneously want to keep to myself and share with the world. Oxana's hosting (and baking and wine-pairing) skills mean you are welcomed with friendly service, clear explanations of the wine pairings and amazing, sweet treats. We have been twice - once in September and once in November - and from beginning to end, our glasses were never empty, and we were treated to amazing service. Now, the food is really something to talk about. Bryn is doing something special here. The food is fresh and innovative while remaining down to earth and approachable. A simple parsnip soup sent our table to heaven with its perfect spice. We had pork belly with the crunchiest crackling and lentils with vegetables that were flavoured so beautifully I couldn't tell what was in them. Blue cheese with truffled honey had all of us begging for more. Every bite is a delight, and some of it was items I wouldn't normally order. This food, this place, is truly something special, reflecting our Borders community and some of the best food in Scotland. Go now!

Got to say, I’ve never had a bad meal or experience in here. The ham hock and lentil soup as amazing, the steak and mushroom pie was outstanding. It was packed with lean steak in a lush, beefy broth type gravy. Great fies, a la dente peas and everything was piping hot and cooked to order. Even the plates were warm, which I always appreciate. The staff were great and the owner is a real friendly guy. If yer heading North or South on the A68, make sure this is yer pit stop, even for a coffee and cake. Made me smile today whilst I was eating, it was that good. It looks like a greasy spoon if you pass it on the road, but it’s not! It’s on a par with very good pub grub, and it’s really clean inside, as is the kitchen which I passed on the way to use the bathroom.

I travel this way, A68, between Newcastle and Edinburgh. Always stop in here, clean and warm. Nice menu, well made. Lots of parking
