We stopped off here for a late breakfast on the way back from York. My bacon and tomato sandwich was really delicious, thick rashers of bacon without being fatty. My husband had the sausage sandwich and said his was just as good. Two cups of good coffee to wash them down with, really hit the spot! Lovely friendly staff made us very welcome. Would certainly recommend a visit 👍

I came again to this iconic van hoping that past glories would once again be on show. Sadly not. A sad bread roll and a half pre cooked bacon sandwich later I realised it wasn’t to be. It has been closed for ages. When it reopened accolades came thick and fast - but then a slow return to normal service has resulted in stale break cakes and dodgy milk. Sort the food out first - not the decor. Don’t leave the cheffing to a nice but non foody helper. What do expect?

Good variety of food on offer, sandwiches freshly made. Very reasonably priced. Can sit outside or on top deck of bus.

This has to be the best roadside family run cafe. Situated on the A64 between Leeds and York just before the A1. Massive portions and very well priced. You can eat outside in the area at the back of the bus or actually upstairs on the bus. Highly recommended.

I have driven past the Red Bus cafe for many years & never called in. Today I’m so glad I did. 10 STAR Service 10 STAR Food Seating inside the Big Red Bus & lovely private off road outside eating area too. A must stop off eatery.

We’ve driven past this cafe so many times we just had to stop. It’s a bright red double decker bus converted into a cafe in a lay-by on the A64. We were greeted by two lovely people in the kitchen on the lower deck of the bus. There’s quite a selection of breakfasts, sandwiches and burgers as well as hot and cold drinks, all very reasonably priced. My husband ordered the Belly Buster which is a monster of a fried breakfast! There’s an outdoor seating area to the rear of the bus and further seating on the upper deck. There’s also a tv upstairs which adds atmosphere. Such a lovely place to have breakfast/lunch, we’ll definitely be coming back!

Good breakfast, I had a large bacon and egg sandwich and it was huge. Unusual surroundings sitting upstairs on a bus. Old school breakfast and good service from the guy making the food and taking the orders.

Decided to pop by as I'd seen it was open with new management. I love a fry up and thought this would be a great place to have one. In a nut she'll it was disappointing, cheap ingredients served in a polystyrene tray. It lacked flavour and was obvious that the cheapest sausages had been sourced. Even the grimiest of roadside cafes usually atleast have plates and the coffee served in a mug. I'll probably try them again to see what the burgers are like. I wish them all the best in their new venture but the quality needs to be improved.

Having used the cafe several times in the past we have called twice on a Sunday in the last 6 weeks and it was closed, the website clearly states it opens Sundays, forcing us to use McDonald's a little further on the A64! Shame, good food but difficult to make plans for breakfast if you can't guarantee they will be open!

It's not your standard place for getting food but it's got the standard English fare in terms of sandwiches, and bacon sandwiches and an English breakfast fry up available all day but it's built along side the road in the shell of a former double decker bus! The ground level of the bus is the kitchen and the second deck is a small dining room. But there are also tables on the side of the road inside of the bus that is well shaded with two wooden picnic tables. It's a trucker's stop as well.

We stop here every year on route to Scarborough. This year it's under new management. How lovely when we walked through to be greeted by a little haven of flower tubs dotted around the seating. Simple but really welcoming touch. All the usual snacks cooked to perfection, pleasant staff and a great mug of tea. Worth stopping for.

A cafe in a red double-decker bus on the A64 in Leeds. Amazing look aside, it's amazing grub too. I had a B.E.S.T. - a bacon, egg, sausage and tomato bap. Big, scrummy, satidfying - I though I'd died and gone to heaven. Out the...

The best Greek street food I’ve had in the UK! The owners are so welcoming and the food was so quick to come out. Recommend the halloumi gyros - absolutely delicious. Definitely coming back!

I recently had the pleasure of stopping by Pit Stop Cafe while on the way to Scotland. I was so glad I did - the food was incredible! The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was so pleasant. The breakfast menu had so many delicious options to choose from, and I ended up enjoying a full English and a cup of tea. The portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable. I definitely plan to stop by Pit Stop Cafe again next time I'm in the area!
