84 West Brasserie & Grill in Camden

Despite the reviews, I went hopeful as the images of the food looked very appealing. 84 West is in the wrong location!! It ought to be situated in KNIGHTSBRIDGE due to the outlandish prices. The music is too loud to have a conversation If you want to sit upstairs it’s a minimum £1000 spend, (of course it was largely EMPTY!! When the food arrived, nicely presented, it tasted DISGUSTING and I picked at it before giving up… my friends also agreed that the taste was inedible…. 🤢 Won’t be long before this closes as I’m sure food inspectors will be paying this establishment a visit. I managed to check the food rating of this place , it was no surprise that it was rated 0- requiring URGENT ATTENTION‼️‼️ Check for yourself……

Very rude staff, customer service is really bad even when you book in advance. They also have limited amount of food.

HORRIBLE!!!! Run as far away from here as possible you will regret it! Especially if you have a special occasion DO NOT TELL THEM IT IS YOUR BIRTHDAY. Once they know it’s a special occasion they will try to extort money from you and when you refuse to pay they will embarrass you on that day. They did it to me. Tried to cancel my booking that I made over a month ago, sent me email 2 days to my birthday trying to cancel and asking for £1200 that’s non refundable. On the said day I got there with my friends and they embarrassed us, refused to serve us food, I literally begged the manager to please not spoil my day and she was blatantly rude, the other man there who they said is the owner screamed at my Brazilian friend she was scared and tried to get an Uber that night to go back home, they called security to harass us I ended up crying, the humiliation was too much. I regret the very day I heard that name 84west, when I posted about it so many people said that was their exact same experience so it can’t be coincidence, I believe they try to cancel two days to your occasion so you desperately pay their non refundable exorbitant fees. So unprofessional. Bed service, everything is horrible there. This is the first time I’m making a Google review so you know I was determined to share my story. I have never been treated that way in my entire life. We ended up going to another place on short notice, where they treated us with the respect we deserve. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

Very very rude manager, kept on using the F word on me and my friends! So arrogant that we had to leave our food and go home

Owner of restaurant was using the F word at customers, absolutely appalling, rude with zero customer service. I can not recommend or attend again.

We were invited to a friends party. Lovely ambience. Had some small chops. Very well made. Music was very good. Will definitely go back. Staff were attentive and polite.

I attended with my partner for a nice evening out after being invited by a friend. We were greeted by a young lady at the reception that advised us that we had to pay a £200 entrance fee and fir that fee we could eat what we wanted. I have never spend £200 on an African meal yet, I was looking for a nice venue for my birthday to go with a large group if friends. I will never go here again as I already know they are only interested in making money.

I have tried to visit 84 West at every opportunity I can. I live in Dagenham so its a bit of a trek to Cricklewood. My 1st visit to 84 West was in July 2020. I have been chasing that high ever since. Unfortunately I know that it's impossible to experience that level of entertainment at for 84 West ever again. On my 1st visit every item of food was delicious, the service by the waiting team was spot on. There wasn't any live music, but the restaurant's vibe was excellent. I have been trying to replicate that level of entertainment, only to find my experience to be progressively worst than the previous visit.

The food is Ok but comes late even though you are giving a 2 hr reservation. Worst of all is the manager is awful, she is unprofessional, stomping around and carrying an angry face. The staff were ok ish but being able to sense the staff thought she was unprofessional is not nice for diners at all. Food doesn't come in time, they also seem to rush you. Spraying the table when you are paying the bill. I wouldn't recommend here. Better go to another nigerian restaurant where you get the service and food. I regret my visit. That manager if she's the owner she will definitely loose custom for her attitude. If she works for someone , she need customer service training. Awful awful.

I have been to the lounge with friends in the past and service was really good but not this time. Yesterday the 18th of March I went there with my husband and we had the worst waiter ever. A smallish man with tribal marks on his face. Customer service was zero, the croaker fish was tasteles, I don't know if it's a different/new chef and when I complained to our waiter I was told I would have to pay £1 for sauce. I showed him photos of the fish to show there was no sauce on it but he insisted on the £1. Like that wasn't enough, our booking deposit was not added to our bill and the bill itself was inflated which we didn't discover until we got home. I know this is not the norm for the lounge, the owners need to check the guy who served us yesterday. He is a very sneaky one. I really hated the ambience and service yesterday. Based on this experience I no longer trust this establishment and would advice all who go there to check their bills carefully. If I could give it a zero star I would!

There isn't much I can say other than I was quite impressed with the ambience the venue had and the service provided was extremely good. The lady at the door, Toyin, I believe was superbly professional and friendly. She was able to accommodate our impromptu visit for drinks and snacks pending the arrival of guests who had made prior reservations.

Food is tasty the DJ is amazing! Location is good! It’s a place to be every Friday make sure to book

I wanted to try this place before lockdown and didn’t get a chance until recently so I was quite excited. I’ll start with the positive, the venue has a lovely ambiance and the live band are really good. They really made the night and that’s why my rating isn’t a 2. The waitresses were also nice and friendly. Food was very average, starters were warm at best and very underwhelming. Nothing like the pictures. Mains were extremely disappointing, it’s the first time I have had Jollof rice I couldn’t actually eat. Food also took a very long time to come out. By the taste I’m not sure why.. Customer service on the phone was very unfriendly and borderline rude. Nice for drinks and atmosphere.

The food was truly awesome and unique. We also tried some spicy cocktails made by the head bartender and we loved so much that we ordered a second round. Nice atmosphere with good music but the service was a little odd. Anyway. 5 stars
