This is an excellent place. My sister and I come here almost every day. When it’s sunny we like to sit outside and sit in the sun to read. The coffee is great and they don’t charge extra for dairy free milks. The pastries and treats are also very good. The owner is very kind and always has a big smile when we come in. The place is also very very clean.

Appalling customer service by the female owner. I came here to do some work while I was getting my car Mot. And I needed to make a call. Outside on roadside was busy and loud so I came inside and proceeded with my call. I could barely hear my conversion. Even if I wasn’t on a call it was abnormally loud. Yes I forgot my earphones. I asked owner politely to turn it down a bit while I was on the call. She refused. After my 10m call, I asked her why she did not turn down the music. I said you can turn it back up after I was done. My call was 10 mins. She Said they don’t cater to individual requests. There was no one else inside. She proceeded to argue with me and not listening and kept interrupting me. Had the audacity to say this is not a library or meeting room. I pointed out other people were on their laptops outside. They should be Lucky to have people wanting to sit and work. Extremely rude, incompetent, lack people skills, unfriendly, and argumentative. Overly priced coffees and teas. Anything extra is 40p. They don’t know how to give good customer service. Avoid at all cost. Rudest owner ever

Visited 7oz today - a dreary Monday mid morning with my friend and son for a quick coffee. The male and female barista gave a look of horror as we walked in with a toddler. The frosty reception was amplified by the small space and just one other customer sat down. I am certainly not adverse to a compact coffee shop, but this surely increases the need for a couple of basic pleasantries? When leaving I placed our empty cups on the counter only to be promptly told to pick them back up and place them back on our table. (Yes he actually told me to pick them back up!) This was followed by an explanation that the counter could get congested. Fair point if there was a queue of people waiting to be served - but the place was completely dead! So my helpful gesture was snubbed. Mediocre coffee, so perhaps not bad for a take out drink, but avoid sitting in at all costs.

We stopped just for coffee to kill time. No one else on the shop and the server couldn’t bring the coffee out to us. She was too busy leaning on the bench. Coffee was bitter and a waste of money. Don’t bother

This coffee shop will not allow you to add more milk than they deem necessary to your latte. You cannot even buy any additional milk. Forget what the customer wants, its so rigid here you can only have the coffee as they want you to have it. Ridiculous!

Great coffee! The barista knows what he is doing and offers details info if you are into coffee. I'm a regular black coffee drinker and don't hesitate to buy one anytime I pass by this nice coffee house!

There is a coffee shop beside Clapham North station. He has a 3 group la mazzoco machine and a great passion for what he does. His offering is simple, coffee in whichever way you want it and breakfast pastries. The shop sends out consistently good coffee. The owner even likes vintage coffee machines and owns an E61.

I go here every morning now :) After being an enthusiastic (and italian) coffee drinker I was completely surprised by this coffee place. Their Marzocco machine and their grinders, and their beans are all of the best of quality! And any coffe or latte is 2 pounds! Excellent work! Highly recommend it! Can't find a coffee as good in london.

Visited for a double espresso to have in on the morning of 21 Feb. Woman behind the counter was very gruff, abrupt and unfriendly from the off. Unfortunately I spilled the entire cup of coffee on the floor. Completely my fault, no blame attached to 7oZ. After apologising profusely and trying to clear up the mess, the female barista reluctantly offered to replace the coffee on the house and I went to sit outside. No query about whether I was ok, or 'don't worry about it'. She barked that the walls were splashed and that I should get out the way so they could clear it properly. Having worked in bars, I completely understand that it is frustrating when customers make a mess, but there is absolutely no need to be overtly rude and make any customer feel so decidedly unwelcome; especially an apologetic one. Before leaving I decided to return the cup and apologise once more. Upon returning she accused me of trying to leave without paying. Ironically, I had offered to pay for a new coffee before they made a replacement and she had refused, so my grievances weren't principally about the bemusing demand for an additional £2. However, the inhospitable behaviour and stand-offish demeanour of the female barista, from the moment I entered until I left, was dissatisfying in the extreme. A real shame as the coffee was fantastic.

I was visiting a friend in the area and stumbled across this coffee shop. Lovey owners and they know their stuff. It's out of my way but I'm happy I have found this place.

We had to try this 'new' coffee place as it's in our neighbourhood and we are very glad to say that their coffee is one of our top 5 we have tried. We admit we are a bit of coffee snobs and we prepared to travel far for a good coffee on Saturday and Sunday morning and so glad this is not far from us. They also change beans every week and roast it themselves so there more flavours to come back for. Great work guys!

Yesterday, I was catching up with a friend from New Zealand and we had the 2 course set menu. The staff were friendly and efficient. The salad starter was tasty with a decent amount of Boursin. However, both our steak frites were very disappointing. The chips were fine, but the quality of the steak was unacceptable. Yes, it was a minute steak, but it had a lot of gristle and despite asking for medium rare it was mostly grey with a streak of pink. Even if it had been medium rare, the essential quality of the steak was poor. The set menu is good value and yes, you get what you pay for, but one still expects good quality food. I have always enjoyed the minute steak at Côte in Richmond so I am familiar with the set menu dishes. I now wish we had paid the £6 to upgrade to the other steak at Côte Southbank. Regarding drinks, the Marmalade No-groni was flavoursome but tiny, especially with a price tag of £8.50. I don’t think I’ll be visiting this Côte any time soon.

It was an odd experience and memorable for the wrong reasons. The drinks came after the food and when they came they’d clearly got them wrong. When we questioned it the guy got really defensive and told me repeatedly “you don’t know what you ordered” - shouting at me. Two of the beers sound really similar but I definitely knew which one I’d ordered. The waiter didn’t seem to know the menu well as he struggled to take our order (even with us all getting the same thing). There’s a couple of similar reviews which had the same experience. Save yourself the pain! The food was fine, nothing special and when we asked for the bill he just came with the machine no actual receipt so no idea if he gave himself a service charge for shouting at customers.

We had a birthday party with the friends who complain that there is no good food in London. After visiting Canton Arms they've changed their mind completely. Everything was amazing there - great food, super helpful and attentive service, and the atmosphere of the real English pub - crowded, chairful, noisy and happy. Loved it!
