Excellent fish and chips we’ve been using this takeaway for many years as it’s so good. Can’t understand some reviews of rudeness as this has never been the case with us

Consistently great fish and chips, quality ingredients generous portions, friendly staff and if you want you can still get the fish cooked properly with the skin one, by far the best chippy for miles

Have only lived in Brough for a few months. We are a young couple and haven’t had a fish and chips locally yet. Tonight we went here to find that the staff were ridiculously rude from the first step into the place as if we were an inconvenience. Very disrespectful and made both of us very uncomfortable. Rushed us to order and then gave us our food. Food was cold & missing half of our order. Will Never go again.

Went here for lunch today for the first time. It was quite pricey - over £40 for 2 medium and 3 small fish and chips, plus one peas, one curry and one gravy - but I think this is a reflection of rising food costs. The food was great - very well cooked fish, which was skin-on and lovely and moist. The chips were nice and crisp. They cook in vegetable oil and, although I personally prefer beef dripping, the flavour was very good. The whole family were very impressed, so we’ll be back.

I think that has to be the best Fish & chips I have had from here. I have finally realised that I have to share a portion of chips. The curry sauce used to be a bit spicy for me, but now it is perfect. The staff & owners are always welcoming & chatty. Would definitely recommend x

The service in this fish & chip shop is becoming very disrespectful, my husband went for fish n chips, he placed his order & paid upfront for the meal, only to be queue jumped twice by someone who placed a telephone order & failed to turn up on time, so he had sold their order of fish n chips! He then started to cook their order again & left my husbands order still uncooked & another lady wanting skinless fish was put ahead of our order………..22 minutes later no food!! My husband walked out very upset & livid. You owe us £9.00

Food is freshly cooked and delicious. On arrival you’re asked if you want fish and order, skin off always. Wait until called forward and collect awesome fish and chips cooked to perfection every time. Curry sauce or mushy peas to complete the deal. Been many times and so underrated by real fish and chip lovers. The real deal.

This is one of two fish&chip shops. I love that they leave the skin on the fish and it’s cooked to order. Excellent 👏🏻

Great Fish & Chips, and brilliant service that's supported by an attentive and 'hands on' management team. No frozen block fish here, just super fresh fillets that are superbly fried to order. As soon as you walk in, you're asked if you want fish, to help minimise your waiting time. The service is carefully managed like clockwork, I've never seen a chip shop queue go down so quickly anywhere. These guys are really switched on. They make the direct local competition look like a third rate act. My 6 year old insists we go to 53 degrees, he reckons the chips are the best ever.

Delicious traditional fish & chip shop. Fish freshly cooked to order, with option to phone ahead. A friendly welcome from the staff. Complementary tartar sauce is the perfect finishing touch. Highly recommended.
