It's not often I post a bad review but I can't not. I tried 53 Bo Grove after visiting the sxhool across the road on a work meeting. This place is apparently Bohemian, it seems that's used to excuse allot of clutter and no cleaning. Condiments are passed between tables (Covid anyone?) The cafe itself has no partitioning for kitchen and front of house and the service was ... Lacking! I won't be back.

It's not often I give a bad review, but today's experience was really annoying. We arrived and I asked if they had any jacket potatoes. Plenty, was the answer, so we ordered and soon got our coffees. Twenty minutes later, we were then told, sorry we have no jacket potatoes! Firstly, why were we told yes, we have jackets. Secondly how did it take more than twenty minutes after ordering to tell us they didn't have any. At that point we decided to call it a day.

Had a lovely warm welcome, pot of tea and toasted teacake from this quirky place after being turned away from another cafe across the way. Dog friendly, cute surroundings and great people watching spot!

A very enjoyable outside lunch time visit where we were served delicious, perfectly cooked and very generous All Day Breakfasts, so generous in fact that I didn't need to eat anything else for the rest of the day! Thoroughly recommend 53 Bo' Grove not only for the food & service but it's also an interesting, quirky place to visit next to an Antiques Emporium. Watch that mannequin doesn't snatch your meal though!

An eclectic place with a really nice brunch menu. Spot on service, really good food. We were made to feel very welcome and would recommend it. Hopefully we will be back soon.

A really quirky and unusual place, but it has a great choice of food and drinks. Went today with my mother just for drinks and cakes, and a couple of weeks ago for a full on sandwich. Possibly the best sandwich I have ever had - fresh ingredients, masses packed in, and great flavours. Will certainly be going back, especially with my mother liking it!

Was in the area and decided to stop and get a takeaway coffee which was very nice. Small farm shop as well where you can get some essentials too. Will hopefully come back in the future when we can sit in and get some food.

Four of us had a lovely Sunday lunch here, coffee and a variety of eggs - benedict, Royale and on smashed avocado. All delicious, would return. Cakes also amazing.

I've been to Manze's Tower Bridge Rd about a dozen times over the years. The pie and mash has always been totally authentic and just perfect. The staff have always been very friendly and helpful. I saw them today taking time to explain to several tourists what the food was all about. The surroundings are also exactly how they should be for a traditional Pie & Mash shop. 10 out of 10 all round! I find my own experiences here totally at odds with the few negative reviews. Either they were really unlucky or had unrealistic expectations of what authentic pie and mash should be.
