This is one of those places that you discover by serendipity and you just feel a great joy. A perfect downstairs space for when you want to get things done. Match fantastic coffee with the awesome apple n walnut cake. Happy days :)

No volveré.

Good strong espresso and not bad cake. Only gripe was the price given you have to sit on a box with wheels.

Lovely little coffee shop, very cosy. Space can be tight especially when parents cram their buggies in there. Coffee is by square mile and is ok on espresso. Filter is excellent. Food is lovely too, I recommend the vegan toastie. Staff lovely and welcoming.

Great little coffee shop. Friendly and very popular. Deserves its rep. Try Marmalade in Brighton for similar experience. 5/5

The staff is really friendly and welcoming. They also have great latte art skills however under a heart shaped froth there's mediocre coffe that taste of burnt beans.

This is a lovely cafe with a tranquil atmosphere. They serve great coffee (Square Mile). However, I did not enjoy the slice of cake I orderer with my coffee; it was dry and quite small (the bottom of the slice was deceptively cut to half the thickness at the top). No wonder they offer to toast the cake and serve it with butter.

Never been here before, so though I'd try it out.....what a joke!!!... So they sell fresh orange juice at £2.80!....price isn't an issue. However, when you put it in a small coffee cup, that's an issue. If you cannot supply or use proper decent and reasonably sized juice cups, then don't sell it. The lady making my toastie decided to fix her hair half way through and didn't wash her hands before continuing with the food. Really???.....Where's the hygiene people? Definitely a 1st and last!

This is one of the best coffee shops I've ever been if not the best. The coffee is amazing, so smooth and tasty. Their toasts are also delicious. The space is small but very cozy!

Popped in here wanting something small and simple for breakfast. Had the yogurt fruit and granola (see pic) they obviously take great care in what they do here and that shows in presentation and flavour. Whilst it was a simple dish it was packed with different flavours a little sprig of mint added made all the difference. The granola was nice and tasty with a toasted flavour and the fruit sliced lovely and thin and very fresh! It was a very hot day so I didn't have coffee but if the breakfast is anything to go by it'll be nice. Perfect place that you can go pop in on your own and not feel out of place. I'll be back next for the banana bread!

Wandered to homerton in search of somewhere for lunch on chatsworth road. Didn't make it there as espresso hut's coffee and delicious, unusual sandwich/toasties drew us in. Sat in the sun trap outside and enjoyed great service. Lovely lovely place.

If you love strong smooth coffee ask one the friendly staff for a Piccolo (not usually on the menu) and they'll make you a great coffee 🌻 ( I'm sure all their other coffees are great too) Add one of their yummy melt in the mouth cheese and ham croissants which comes made with fresh herbs and a spicy side sauce - Well happy 🎆 Very tiny café - you need to be prepared to share your space, but very much worth the effort and a chance to make friends if you smile ☺️ It's situated next to Homerton Hospital, it's a bit off track for me to go regular, but it makes all my hospital appointments (I make sure they are all at Homerton hospital now) finish with a good feel buzz 🌼

I am obsessed with independent coffee shops. I will always bypass a Costa, Nero or Starbucks (*shudder*) in favour of somewhere unique. Since moving to London in August I have tried out quite a few different places, usually by looking at the top-rated coffee shops...
