visited last night 44 Lounge with the intention of having a good time, but unfortunately, my experience was mixed. The bar attendants varied significantly in their service. One of them was incredibly rude and seemed to have no idea how to properly serve, while the other was very pleasant. I ordered some shots and requested salt and lemon, a standard accompaniment. Instead of informing me that they didn’t have these items, the bartender with a questionable attitude simply ignored my request and moved on to the next customer without a word. It was as if my presence was a bother. Later, I ordered a Coke. Not only did she fail to fill the cup properly, but she also charged me £3. Despite this, she insisted that the payment didn’t go through, even though my bank statement showed otherwise. All she had to do is reprint the last receipt to check. Curiously, when I later bought an entire bottle of Coke for £5, the transaction went through without any issue. This inconsistency left me frustrated and questioning the honesty of the staff. What made the situation even more frustrating was the lack of urgency or care from the staff. The bar wasn’t busy, yet I still had to wait while they served three other customers before I could get the bottle of Coke I had purchased. The entire experience was so negative that I decided to stop spending any more at the bar. However, it's worth noting that not all of the staff shared this bad attitude. The other bartender was very good and provided excellent service. Maybe next time they will be more responsive overall. What she didn’t know is I don’t actually drink alcohol so I knew exactly what I had done and paid for

We arrived and the lounge was shut, shutters down no one in the building we called the number on the front the guy that answered was surprised and stated that he will speak to his manager but brutally put the phone down. We spoke to local who stated that it has been shut for some time

I had organized a Father’s Day meal , at 44 lounge on Sunday 16th June . Upon arrival we had noticed the venue was closed. The booking was placed through The Fork. Due to it being closed we decided to contact the number seen online . By doing this we was told we will get a call back from the manager…There was not one apology or concern to the fact they had a booking and the venue was shut.. As a collective who had travelled from a far to come give 44 lounge visit we was left in town not knowing what to do next and had to take our Father’s Day celebration elsewhere.. Very disappointed with the service we had on the phone and the phone call we never received back or apology and just the lack of communication in general. After this experience we will not be attending 44 lounge again or will we recommend the restaurant for people to give a try after our awful experience yesterday!

Fair price for food and the atmosphere is very good.

It’s a good place for a night out but can the Dj and 🎤 guy stop talking on music!! I want to enjoy music not him talking on it ! Please

The DJ wasn't great. Else, everything else made sense.

Had the grilled sea bass and I must say it was beyond my expectation. Tasted nice and well cooked. You should try it.

I came in for food. I was welcomed by very polite staff. They made me comfortable. Food was good. Ended up staying for the club. The dj there is very good plays a variety of music to meet everyone’s desired taste. Since that day I’ve come back 3times xx

Good location and brilliant lounge with excellent interior decor and layout, but apart from that, nothing to write home about the place. Toilet facilities are unbefitting for a place like that. The smell of pee is horrendous when it's full to capacity and no in-house cleaner to tidy up. Security is completely absent inside the lounge, especially during the late hours when most people are drunk and have no control of what they are doing. The success of every lounge or nite club is its excellent or ability for the DJ to keep the customers or grovers on their toes, and I will say the DJ on that night was utterly disappointing. There is no coordination in his choice of songs or when to change songs. One last thing that got me really fuming was the constant smoking and smell of weed inside the lounge, and because the security are all focused outside, disregarding what's happening inside, people are allowed to do whatever they wish. I couldn't believe the strong smell of weed that was coming from the place. This needs to be sorted ASAP if they value the integrity of the place and life of those who just want to have a great time in a clean and tidy venue.

The bar has good food and good music, and it's very easy to find. However, there is a tall lady with bullring piercing in the nose working there who has a negative demeanor toward me and my friends without any reason. That night was not the first time she acted very rude. She doesn't speak English very well either. My friends and I had to immediately go away as soon as we saw the way she responded to us. Would I go there again after the negative experience we had with one of the staff? Maybe, if things change!

The place is BEYOND extortion!!!!!!!! I paid £7.50 for 2 glasses of lemonade! 2 GLASSES OF LEMONADE!!!! and to add insult to that, the lemonade was flat, no fizz to it at all. The reason is because the soft drinks are stacked in the bottle at the side of the bar and then it's poured out like that and the lid screwed onto the bottle ready for the next person who buys. There's is not tap type machine that you usually find at the side of a bar that dispenses the fizzy pop /chaser. You would've thought that with them extortionate prices they charging, they could install a proper tap to dispense the lemonade and coke like other pubs and bars do, instead of pouring flat lemonade or coke out of a bottle. A can of red bull cost my family member £4.50!!!! I hate to think what would've cost if we had added alcohol to the drinks. This place must think they are in line with the west end, London or something 🤔 nah love your some little side street, back a alley venue, stuffed down some little Newtown back street. The bar maid is also a airhead with no sense These type of venues need boycotting until they bring reasonable prices to the people of brum.

A place to really have fun and be yourself.

Enquired about a 30th bday party and they advised they don’t host Jamaicans. Bunch of stuck up a-holes Edit: They’ve replied playing the victim. The conversation lasted 20 seconds. All they asked for was the type of event, to which we replied a birthday party. They asked for what culture to which we replied Jamaican. They said they don’t host Jamaicans, and that was that.

Hi guys hope you are well. Here goes my review. I haven't had the meal as yet but it's on just eats. I intend to try the meal very soon. on the nights it turns out to be a great Raving spot. There are live DJs, on the nights, the security is very good. It is mostly paid event. There are fire extinguishers and safety protocols in place. The securities make regular patrols. The vibes are multicultural although they are preferably an African vibe. There is a step up to get into the venue. There are multiple escape routes. The drink prices are reasonable. The staff is friendly and approachable. And very understanding, they go above and beyond to make sure their customers are satisfied. There is also shisha available. The booths are a reasonable size. And there is a massive area for dancing. The vibe was great for me and my party of 7. The smoking area is outside. Absolutely no drink is allowed to leave the establishment. So even if you have to smoke the drink has to stay indoors. They open about 6pm in the evenings until about 3am, I will have to check the timing. In the evenings it is not Kids friendly. The parking is along the roadside. I will be going back very soon and hope to see you there. Happy travels Firez.
