Lovely local pub. Beer garden at the side. Quiz night every Wednesday. Entertainment quite often at the weekend and food coming soon.

The Landlady was very accommodating. No Kitchen at the moment but had pizza, sausage rolls etc on the bar.

Visited this delightful pub today , celebrating Easter, lots going on and very happy children.. Parents seemed to be enjoying the day too . Staff were so friendly, Angel, Sammy and Amie the manageress couldn’t have been more welcoming, such a pleasant atmosphere and would recommend a visit .. It will be lovely to return again when the food is up and running 😊 Thankyou for a lovely afternoon. Keep up the hard work, such a pleasure

The Woolpack held my Mum's wake at very short notice. Will never forget the kindness shown and top service from all. The food was tasty and varied.

1 star food hygiene - food handling and management needs major improvement.

Nice pub, with good atmosphere and desent drink selection. Although the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed and somehow ran out of big wine glasses and gave us dirty glasses. When we asked for ice, they also seemed confused. I guess that's what happens when it's busy though. Overall a pleasant experience.

I must say my time at Woolpack was AMAZING. I booked a table for my family of 7 and we all had such a good time. The waitress was so kind and I wish I knew her name so I could give her an extra special mention. What I loved most though was how welcoming the pub felt and the atmosphere was just enjoyable. My only tiny scrutiny would be how I’m sure I witnessed one of the young members of staff pulling themselves a pint. Everyone from my family thought fair play to them😂 however I was just wondering your policy on this. This is only because I’m a mother of 2 boys and I’m sure this would get them into trouble at work for drinking supplies and drinking illegally. However despite this I had a great time and will be 110% returning back and I would highly recommend to any family looking to enjoy and lively and relaxing meal and at a good old traditional pub.

This week's Pub of Week. The Woolpack in Wilsead. We enjoyed Fosters and a fairTimothy Taylor Ale. Lovely little village pub with an interesting history of a theft of 12 herrings and a cup and saucer from an unfortunate patron in the 1860s. Later the thief was found with 2 herrings in his pocket...

We booked a table for 9 people on a busy fathers day. It was a fantastic experience. Everyone commented how amazing the food was, cozy cute setting & extremely attentive staff. We can't wait to visit again! Thank you for making our Fathers Day such a memorable experience.

Fairly new to Wixams next door. Been a couple times, atmosphere nice when busy and quite. Fish and chips was very nice also! Great service from barman this afternoon (Fri 27) (name unknown).

Nice friendly service, waitresses were great, one of them overheard us discussing whether to have a dish because of the garlic and she kindly interjected saying we could have the dish without garlic. food was lovely, especially the steak and ale pie. the meat was so tender

Nice pub. The food was tasty and the staff were friendly. The downside is it only had a single women's toilet, straight off the bar area and the lock wasn't very good. It's very hard to find out the menu.

Fantastic lady on the bar (Friday 21st June around 3.30pm), very hospitable and entertaining, will definately return This was my first experience of the pub, nearly 3 years ago. I now live in the village, & this is my local, love this pub 👍👍😁😁

Lovely friendly pub,great atmosphere for even a early evening visit. Good selection of beer..the bar area is small which has an old traditional feel to it..they have a kitchen, I cannot comment on that as we did only went in for a drink. I'm told the food is very good though and the dining area looked spacious and welcoming. Overall a 'lovely' village pub

Great local pub, lovely staff who are great with kids and decent food. Steak and ale pie was full of meat, burger with mac and cheese was filth in all the right way. Solid Saturday afternoon early meal.

The Woolpack were very accommodating when I explained I wanted to book a table for my vulnerable dad's 85th birthday Sunday lunch. They gave us a table in the corner of the backroom so we weren't too close to other tables. The food was delicious and the service was quick. Thank you so much, he had a lovely treat

Amazing food, we did take away and it was packaged well for a drive (no soggy chips!) The burger was so good, def would go back again and again. They also serve non-vegan food so you can take your non-vegan friends and family

Nice food pleasant staff, good Sunday lunch

Visited with mates on the Vegan night "plant based Pete night". The service was great, staff all smiles and really friendly. The food was superb, we had a selection of the burgers and pizza which were beautifully presented. And because portions are generous, we were able to have a "doggie bag" to take what we couldn't eat home. We will definitely be visiting again. Thankyou Jan for telling me about your amazing pub 🤗

Great service, such a lovely menu. A great opportunity to practice flex-i-tarianism. Very popular bar with a good crowd too. Definitely book a seat in the restaurant to avoid disappointment

Yo Pete and the team! Absolutely quality food! So wonderfully unexpected to find in a nice rural pub! I only really see menus similar to yours in towns and city's. I think you are onto something. Absolutely loved being able to have a meat feast style vegan pizza! Your seitan recipe is on put, those chicken style 5 peice was quality. It was a nice touch that you came to greet us too, will defo reccomend and visit again! If we move down this way you will have us as regular customers!

Popped in for Plant Based Pete's takeaway and a beer while we waited. Awesome food, can't recommend it enough! Hot cauli wings especially are amazing. Lovely chat with staff too, super friendly. AF beer options good as well. Will definitely make it a regular!

The wife and I have only just discovered the woolpack after moving to Wixams. Decided to pay a visit last night. Landlady is very welcoming, friendly staff. Food was great and so is the atmosphere. Walked back to pick up the car today and stayed for a roast dinner and that was by far the best roast dinner I eaten out. So thank you very much. We have finally found our local pub for the whole family

I have been looking forward to visiting The Woolpack for a long time and was not disappointed. The food was fantastic and the service excellent. Vast choice of menu, catering for all and great value for money. Plenty of outside space to enjoy drinks with friends and family safely. Highly recommended !

Food was very good and the staff were nice and friendly it's a dog friendly place so some nice little waggly friends if you're in to that. Service was a little slower than I might have expected and a few items off the menu were out of stock. But over all a decent place worth a visit if your in the area. Limited parking.

A place to remember, having had occasion to visit Bedfordshire we found this pub by chance a few weeks ago and enjoyed good food and friendly service...2nd visit today and had a great lunch and service highly recommend!

Not the biggest of restaurants, but you have your own space. The food is is slightly off the norm, we've enjoyed two visits, both at weekends. Now to do a week day or evening visit. Staff very friendly. Prices are fair.
