On there Web site, a request to put in an order in advance for pizza orders. One of us is Coeliac so ensured we complied, and to ensure no mixup. Called in the order 6 1/2 hours ahead of collection. Told this would be okay and to collect the pizzas at 18:30. Arrived 18:20 , surprise, surprise, order wasn't in the system. Then some nonsense about the person who took the order ( That morning) was off sick and hadn't passed it on, or put it in the system. If I waited, hopefully it could be sorted out. Asking how long ? couldn't guarantee a time as there were already a few orders in. Just left, what a disappointment. Won't be back

Great wee sunny spot on Leith Walk which is fabulous for meeting up with friends for a lovely lunch. Loved how even the soft drinks are local to Scotland and that everyone is catered for (GF V and Vegan options) I am a mega dessert fan so opted for a light bite of falafel and then dessert -which was the best thing ever (TOASTED Banana loaf with dulce de leche drizzled over it) Thanks to Kenny and crew for a fabulous lunch while in Edinburgh. We will be back!!!

Well what a hidden gem!! This is an absolute must visit if you like toasties. Brilliant menu with vegan and veggie options and delicious coffee too. Welcoming member of staff who was attentive and warm. It’s a very small but busy place and everyone seemed to be served and catered for efficiently during our visit. I highly recommend the window seat where you can watch people staring wantingly at toasties whilst walking by.

Today, I think I had the best vegan sandwich I've ever had. And my husband said it was the biggest sandwich he's ever seen...so the biggest and the best vegan sandwich in Edinburgh?! Stumbled upon 305 Kitchen when on the search for food on Leith Walk. Thought the sandwiches were a little pricey but this is only half so I think very fair pricing. And delicious! It's (half) the Vegan 'Club' Sandwich and the home made Falafel. Lovely staff too, and they plated us up half each as we said we were sharing. 10/10, would devour again. (good covid safe measures in place 👍🏼)

This was a lovely surprise!! Brilliant food and the portions+++ My wife’s a veggie, and was spoilt for choices. The other couple we were with required gluten free, and were well attended by the host. I had the special of the day, their version of the fish finger sandwich! It was to die for by the way. Cakes and coffee after added to our blissful venture into this wee beauty of a place!

We popped into 305 on the way back from Leith and we’re glad we did! We were greeted by a really friendly waitress and sat outside in the lovely weather. They have a really good array of choices for lunch. We opted for the hazelnut and salted caramel iced lattes which were quite sweet but very tasty. I then opted for the chicken, cheese and chilli jam toastie which was much larger than expected and was delicious. My boyfriend then opted for the lamb kofta flatbread which was cooked to perfection! He said it was the best flatbread he has ever had. I then got a raspberry brownie (GF) to takeaway which was gooey and delicious. Overall we had a really fantastic experience at 305, the food was really good value for money and the service was faultless. The only thing It’s lacking in is its size! There didn’t seem to be many tables but it wasn’t busy when we went so it wasn’t an issue. There was also roadworks all along leith walk but again, this wasn’t their fault. 5/5 stars.

We had a fab lunch here. The lentil and onion soup was gorgeous, with a hint of cumin. I had a light homemade falafel salad which was tasty and not dry like some can be. My husband had a hearty homemade salt beef toastie. Lovely bread toasted with cheese on top. They also have a big gf and vegan menu if you need it.

Popped in for lunch on a recent trip to Edinburgh and was immediately drawn in by the cheerful appearance and extensive (and VERY reasonably priced) menu. We took so long to decide on our choices that it became a standing joke with the owner when we returned for brunch the following day! For such a small venture, the menu is vast, though the owner assured me that everything is homemade. Having tasted it, I believe him! My daughter enjoyed a toasted tuna and cheese bagel with a side of herby baked beans (utterly delicious), while I had the pulled pork and chipotle bean stew, which was topped with sour cream and jalapenos, and served with a side salad of leaves, tomato, toasted seeds and a balsamic drizzle. If you aren't a fan of heat, it's probably best to shy away from the stew as it was rather spicy, but it was tempered by the sour cream. The following day my daughter had the breakfast wrap, containing a 2-egg omelette, tomato, and a choice of filling. I had 'beans on toast' which comprised homemade baked beans with thick slabs of crusty toasted bread, topped with a poached egg. As I can't eat eggs, this was changed for a couple of rasher of bacon without a quibble. This is a fabulous little cafe with some really inventive items on the menu - the Ultimate Macaroni Sandwich springs to mind! Give it a try!

Just popped in for some coffee and cake and was very impressed to have 4 gf cake options- good coffee too.. They also have a gf lunch menu and a vegan menu. Friendly staff and although a small indoor seating area by the counter there was a sign for more seating downstairs. We sat outside as it wasn't raining. Will defo go back and try their lunch stuff. Highly recommended!

Nice little find on Leith walk, food completely hits the spot and is so tasty. Real comfort food to enjoy (especially if you’re hungover). I particularly recommend the Mac and cheese toastie but the stovies also excel. Go...!

305 Kitchen has a great wee selection for vegans - it's listed separately on the menu so it's easy to tell which dishes are vegan friendly. If you are feeling really hungry, go for the vegan club sandwich: it is absolutely massive, and is filled with lots of lovely veggie haggis. The falafel plate is great too - they make their falafel fresh on site.

My daughter lives in the area and used to go to Colonial House and one day she passed and it had closed! It became 305 Cafe and she has been in a few times so we decided to go infor a spot of late lunch and it was really good. I had a DIY salad with chicken and avocado and my daughter had mac ‘n’ cheese and both were terrific. I had a latte and thought the salt container was sugar ......... you can guess the rest!

After walking past the cute and colourful cafe-front in the morning and seeing a sign for vegan options, we wandered back at lunch time to check out their menu. We tried the falafel wrap and sandwich and WOW they were incredible! Having lived in Edinburgh for 4 months now, we both said that it was the BEST lunch we'd had so far. The service was fun and accommodating. The patio on a warm, sunny day was a prime spot to chill out and soak up the rays too. What a wicked find! We will certainly be back!

A little gem tucked away on Leith walk- great place to go and watch the world go by or meet friends for brekkie, lunch or coffee and a cake! Super menu- to the point that I couldn’t choose- so I had to go back two days later so I could try some more!! Lovely selection of juices, coffee and drinks too. Lots of great homemade and locally sourced produce (the homemade salt beef is a must try!). Also a range of gluten free and vegan options. All at really reasonable prices and served by lovely, welcoming staff.
