My husband and I brought my cousin and his lovely Mrs here for a treat and the staff never fail to deliver. Always happy, attentive and warm, this little gem has a classic, jazzy ambience. 222 provide a wide variety of delicious, fresh food, exquisitely presented, the prices of which never leave a hole in your pocket. My favourite main is the pea and asparagus burger and favourite dessert is apple crumble with ice cream. The staff are obviously well respected and appreciated by their management and they clearly love what they do, which is conveyed within the sterling service they provide. Top marks 222! Back soon!

No meat option available. Everytime we go to a restaurant that does normal food there are always vegetarian options for those who want to eat that stuff, we came here for a change to appease those who always choose those options and there was nothing for the rest of us to eat, proper food options should be offered as the veggie options always in in proper food restaurants.

The person taking my order didn't know what a vegan burger was, the kitchen staff were yelling at him and the waitresses ignored me one looking visibly miserable. This was the only restaurant that came up when searching for vegan restaurants after an event at Olympia. Only a 10-15 min walk from the venue. Being gluten and dairy intolerant eating out is always difficult and a bit of a chore, often ending up with only fish, potato and veg. Not at this restaurant! I was blown away with the choice, so much so that my friend and I ordered 5 starters for a tapas style meal, purely because we couldn't make up our minds! Service was great, nothing was too much trouble and served with a smile. I even had a choice of 6 desserts, when usually there isn't one I can have on the menu! So sad this restaurant isn't local to me, I'd be there all the time!!

I'd been here only once before, years ago, and the meal was spoiled for me by the lack of proper chairs and having to sit on a hard wooden bench. Thankfully the layout has changed and there are now proper chairs. And the food was AMAZING! My stir-fry vegetables with rice and both tofu and seitan was absolutely delicious and I lost count of the different vegetables when I got to 8. There were 4 of us. All dishes were beautifully presented. Chocolate cake with ice cream was also wonderful and not too sweet. I wish we didn't live 200 miles away! I was meeting friends I hadn't seen for several years so it was lovely to be allowed just to sit and chat for ages after we'd finished eating.

We were staying at the hotel accross the road, so it was easy to go there after a long travel day. As were not vegan, i guess the food was ok. Frendly staff. But there was no heating in the restaurant. We were frizzing !!!!

Arrived to a packed small restaurant on a very cold night. No one to greet us, already people waiting. Caught the waitress’s attention to explain we had a reservation. No name asked for, but we were lucky enough to be given a table. Order taken within a reasonable time, then a wait of 40 mins for starters. In the meantime, several other parties arrived with no tables for them. Some left, some stayed in the draughty doorway for a lot longer than I would! Starters were good, as was the Vegan wine. Then another wait of around 40 mins for the mains. We were not in a hurry, but you could sense frustration around the room from those who seemed to wait even longer than us, especially tables of more than 2. Main meals were very good and we both really enjoyed them. We opted for a dessert as that was why were recommended the venue for in the first place. It was excellent. Overall, book less people, turn away walk-in’s if full and have more than 1 waitress as service was below par. No complaints on food or price.

Lovely vibe to this little cafe. Food looked good but I didn’t partake. Husband had coffee which he said was really good. Dad and I had a pot of tea each. Unfortunately there was a lot of water in the pot and 1 tea bag which meant the tea was the weakest we have ever had. Ended up taking the bag out of the pot to put in the cup to get any kind of tea flavour. I noticed it was also a very plastic tea bag.

Visited here with friends while one a flying visit to London for the weekend. We had booked in advance as it was a Friday night, and I’m glad we did because otherwise I don’t think we would have had a chance! The restaurant was packed, which is always a good sign (especially for something so niche as a fully vegan menu). There was only one waitress on and I felt really bad for her because she was clearly under a lot of pressure. As someone in the industry it didn’t bother me because I’ve been in her shoes, but the management should really consider having more than one member of floor staff available - especially on weekend nights.

The food is delicious, served quickly by friendly staff. We were a family of 4 celebrating a birthday ahead of going to the theatre. We would certainly go back.

My boyfriend brought me here to try. It was packed so luckily he had booked ahead. We stood out in our colourful hoodies, but not because the dress code was snotty. Probably because the tables are quite close as the restaurant is small, so I felt like I was in other people's personal space.

Arrived around 19:00 on a Monday night, no booking. Walked in, asked for a table of two, told “that one’s empty” with a point and a smile, odd service for how the place is presented but thought nothing of it.

After reading all the great recommendations of this restaurant, I was really excited to try it out for my self. This is a concept that I admire and would truly love to support, plus the menu on the website looked very promising. However I am sad to say that we had quite a disappointing meal here.

We were so fortunate to try this restaurant on our second day in London. We loved it so much that we ate at least one meal there every day after. The lunch buffet is all you can eat and has a variety of dishes to choose from. The dinner menu is more limited but we found several favorites dishes. Even though this is a vegan restaurant, it can appeal to omnivores. One of us is vegan, the other is not yet enjoyed the meals. If you eat there often enough, the staff starts to consider you as family. Will definitely return here when in London again.

Overall, I enjoyed my experience here. The staff were very polite and I liked the food.

Amazed and delighted. This is a busy restaurant about a 10 min walk from west Kensington tube. It was busy at 6.30pm on a Tuesday night. Really interesting menu and a learning curve as not familiar with many items. It was an eye fest as I watched other diners food being delivered. I ordered the burger made with asparagus and peas. Delicious and a satisfying meal. I had to have the warm pineapple and ice cream pudding which was a great end to supper. A good orgais red wine. Service was friendly and relaxed. A great value meal

This was my first experience of vegan cuisine and I have to say thoroughly enjoyable. The tofu and bean pancakes were fabulous the stroganoff was delicious but the chocolate torte well that is just heaven on a plate. Will return as there was so much in the menu that I want to try. My friend went raw and had a truly amazing meal. Thank you for making this a wonderful first time.

My friend took me here as a suprise. She said the reviews were good and the food looked yummy. The waitress was really unfriendly and made us feel like we were a nuisance (maybe she was having a bad day). The food was sadly quite dry. I went for the burger and chips. The desserts did look good but we were really cautious about ordering anything else after our main. There are few restaurants in the area so we are sad that its wasn't better. Next time we will travel the short journey to "tell your friends".

We came here for the buffet lunch after reading such positive Trip Advisor reviews. We actually travelled half an hour out of our way as it sounded so good. Unfortunately they had lost our booking when we arrived but luckily there was space to squeeze us in.Bit unprofessional and not the best start, but these things happen.

i have been with my family in london for 1 week . we fell in love with 222 vegan cuisine from day 1. we ended up going there almost everyday. vegan cuisine cooked to perfection. also most of the dishes are gluten free. the food is creative,fresh and prepared just right.the desserts are also brilliant.the food there gave us the energy to walk all day and to see magnificant london.i wish there could be more places like that.

Wow!!!! Me and my wife have not long been veggie so I was unsure what this place would hold in store to say we were blown away by the food, I had the burger whilst my wife had a seitan dish again something she had never had she was as amazed as me at the shear taste of it I had a sneaky taste and yes it was soooo good if you are ummin and ahhhing about going just do it it’s fantastic.

222 is a vegan small restaurant located in West Kensington. During the weekend, it gets over crowded and the wait for more than one hour, even with a booking. The place itself is a rectangular room that’s probably more suitable for a café rather than a restaurant. The place is very busy and it’s seems like they overbook, accepting customers who haven’t booked in advance. The tables are so attached to each other that you will probably have dinner with a stranger. Not the best place for an intimate candlelit dinner!

I took my mother and girlfriend for a lunchtime buffet. I was the only one with a passion for vegan food. My guests were both sceptical and joked about vegan food being bland and never satisfying. Well as I suspected they walked out converted, they thought it was delicious and they were full too. Thank you 222 for consistently serving delicious wholesome food for a fair price. We visited on a Saturday night, two of us vegan and one of us most definitely not. We had an amazing meal, the non-vegan absolutely amazed at his delicious stroganoff and apple crumble. The atmosphere was great, staff are lovely and the food is some of the best vegan food I've eaten.

We went for lunch and really enjoyed the variety of well flavoured hot and cold dishes on the lunch buffet. Friendly and charming staff - happy to provide tap water with lemon slices and offered top ups.

Went there last week with my family , I haven’t been there for 10 years ! And the place is much cosier and modern than before. The food was amazing! I tried every single dish , I loved the chickpea curry, spinach tofu pie, fried plantains.

Arguably, the best vegan restaurant in London. Not only is it incredibly delicious, but they have a terrific variety of dishes, specials, and the servings are perfect (not too big, not too small). My hubby is gluten free and they had plenty of excellent selections for him as well. Their risotto dish is beyond words. Only gripe: sometimes the orders take a little bit longer to arrive than I would like, but it’s worth the wait. Highly recommended!

Went today for the first time and was amazed at how good the food is!

We were early and the staff allowed us to stay eventhough the restaurant wasn’t open yet. Interesting selection of vegan food. And its really worth the price. My friend tried the rose latte; yumm!

We had an excellent meal this evening. At 8pm the restaurant was practically full. The soups of the day are usually pretty good but tonight's was lentil and was brilliant. For main course I tried a new item from the menu - Egosi and that was really tasty. I will be back for more!

We ate here on a Thursday early evening, just as they opened. The staff were very friendly and polite. The food was really nice and well presented. They also offer a nice variety of non and alcoholic drinks. I would visit here again.

A very nice buffet lunch at a reasonable price. A good selection of dishes with unlimited visits to the buffet. A good choice of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Beer, cider, teas, juices. My daughter's 21st birthday and wanted to book a vegan meal for 9 family and friends. We booked for 7.30pm but we were running late and the staff very kindly kept our tables for us. We all ordered various items from the menu. Two of my friends had Egusi but they were very disappointed with it. I had the 222 Fresh burger which was ok but not all that tasty. Everyone else enjoyed their food. Our waiter was excellent and very friendly and even served my daughter''s birthday cake with a rousing chorus of 'Happy Birthday'. Overall we had a good evening and didn't cost us a fortune.

This a small buffet style diner with lovely vegan meals prepared in a very creative and tasty way. There is also an a la Carter dinner service. The menu varies and never fails to satisfy and delight. The space is a little cramped which is the only reason I’ve given it a 4 but it makes for an atmosphere that sometimes see strangers interacting with each other. Highly recommended, good value for money, especially the buffet meal and it’s good for you, healthy.
