We held our wedding day two event upstairs here and it was so much fun! The venue was great, location was so easy and the staff were really helpful and friendly. Venue catered a finger food buffet for our guests and we got compliments on how good the food was!

Ok for a drink. Waitress a bit ditsy couldn't make out a word she said. Got the drinks order wrong but to be fair it wasn't on the bill. Very noisy if your wanting a quiet drink but nice decor.

Thirsty goat is a wonderful place to visit

One of the worst nightclubs I've ever been in. Service is absolutely abysmal - the bar staff are utterly clueless and the rude dark haired bar supervisor has no idea what she is doing. Even the bouncers admitted she was a nightmare to work with. On top of this my friend had his jacket stolen, avoid this place at all costs.

tragiczna muzyka '- dj porażka, oświetleniowiec okropny. Brak szatni. Toalety brudne zaniedbane nie było papieru toaletowego... wstęp £5 kiedyś chodziłam tam i było dużo lepiej teraz nie mogłam tam wytrzymać mimo, że lokal nie miał złego wystroju.

It's ok. I went here for a club night. They had a DJ and extremely loud music. I couldn't hear my own thoughts let alone chat to anyone. Staff were dead on.

Got free passes into the club so was hoping for a great night. Only good thing about the place was the music. Bar staff where rude as F**K and didn’t care about leaving you waiting 10-15 mins in a que. Was my birthday & this was an end of the night stop & I will not be retuning.

Pretty basic place but the music was okay- staff horrible and rude, floor staff push you out of the way and miserable. Okay for a last resort but wouldn't reccomend it unless you like to wait ages for a drink at the bar, and enjoy being knocked about by rude and heavy handed staff and security. In all honesty would avoid.

Female here ignore the name.. where do I start? Imagine how grim it is when it’s Halloween weekend your refusing people. Belfast city night life is soo bad compared to 10 years ago. Idk why soo many over priced places think they are sat in some snobby place in london. Me and my friends weren’t in costume but seen other people refused. We were a group of 5 who got told to wait and stand to see if they had any room for the other door guy to go oh your too causal to my fella. Have you seen your fb pics you upload? I’ve seen soo many (non branded) photos on your page.. (my fella was wearing designer brand) yet my other half wasn’t good enough to get in but he was a few years ago pre covid when we attended. Imagine locked up for ages an your just looking for a night out with friends to catch up. I’m sorry I wouldn’t let my other half been seen in granda brown shoes!! The way I saw the bouncer look up and down my other half was vile.. also becareful who you refuse at the door. Especially when our best friend is a celeb agent. They’ll be told to avoid any type of contact in your establishments when performing.

Came here for pre dinner drinks. You’re not allowed in any pubs in Belfast unless you’re eating a meal. Luckily it wasn’t raining so we sat outside. The staff cleaned the barrel tables and seats and were very helpful and polite. The only reason I gave 4* was because the door lady wasn’t very friendly at all! She made us feel uncomfortable

Music good .tiles on stairs are really slippy. Girlfriend fell on New years down the stairs got really hurt I slipped down the stairs tho I caught myself

So disappointed with what could have been a fabulous night. After paying £150 for 15 of us to get in and have a “free drink” we went to our reserved area, all was fine until a stupid amount of people were let in to Make the bar 5 deep! We queued for over half an hour to get served but to our disappointment we couldn’t even get close to the bar, we gave up and left. The lady on the cash till was nice enough and said she would pass on the details and looked at the counter to see how many people were in there and even she was shocked at how busy it was...but still Continued to let people enter! Such a waste of money and you can imagine the amount on money that would of been spent, after we left we found another bar where we didn’t have to wait for drinks and was better than our first choice. I would avoid this place and wouldn’t return every for a “free” drink!

Went in the other Saturday ,got a table and order a drink but were then told the kitchen was closed.The place was busy but it was a Saturday afternoon.Went back on a Tuesday evening 5.00pm ,place half empty ,got a table ordered a drink and asked for a menu ,2 other couples came in after us and sat at tables around us.Waiter came and told us that he could not take our order as there were people waiting for tables at this time there were 4 empty tables.The other couples were told the same a 30 minute + wait before they could take orders.

Always have a great night here. Never a big queue and the music is always great . Big fan of the place

There was an offer on groupon for 21 Social so we got it as it is a place we havent been in years so thought we would give it a go Very disapointed and wont be back The place has lost its magic....poor decor...bad service...and i can see why the offer was on groupon... Disapointed

I ve worked in restaurant and bar over 15 and i ve never seen a bad DJ like this loud music i dont mind loud music but music played was just dawnload from youtube and how dj likes it was really bad tobe homest i ve seen few dj there same music all the time reason benedic is full every weekend because music and atmosphere there social21 its really good place tobe but music is really bad Bar staff was really nice and frienly

we went up at 9.45pm for a table we had booked for 6 people. Hadn't been to Belfast in years and it was my 40th biurthday. The little small bouncer refused my friend cause he had glarey eyes. WDF he was as sober as a judge. Think the bouncer had little man syndrome or something. £96 pound was actually refunded to us by the manager which was grateful. The bouncer however was an little angry dwarf.

Went in for 1 pint via the Thirsty Goat and ended up staying the rest of the nite great atmosphere on 3 floors there was a group of us and we all said it was a good nite

Only been to the bar a handful of times but each time I go I’m ignored by all the bar staff, people were coming and going as I was stood at the bar and still I was ignored, and if I spoke up about being ignored I was accused of being abusive toward staff?? All staff members are too young and only care about serving the young good looking customers!! These two visits have been the same and I refuse to visit the establishment again

Meal was ok but when we had to move from our table upstairs to the nightclub at 3.00 pm the heating was not on, so was very cold and the bar was not open. We sat in an alcove where a member of staff told us to move as all the alcoves were reserved for other groups who were eating after us. We asked where were we supposed to sit? They told us to sit at high tables and brought barstools. Which was uncomfortable for sitting for over 3 hours. Music was playing but no DJ, told he would start at 5.00 pm, then 6.00 pm then 7.00 pm. Other groups came up at 5.00 pm though alcoves were still empty when I left after 6.00 pm. My barstool had a sharp corner which ripped my tights and leg open when I tried to get down off it, had to get a plaster to stop the bleeding. So disappointed as had been looking forward to a wee dance and comfortable seats. Think I am too old at 61 to be sitting all day on bar stools and after spending £32 for a meal and £70 on drink felt gutted, worst Christmas doo ever and I have been to white a few since the 70s will not be going back.

Went here for Christmas dinner with work promised free entry into 21 social but it wasn’t free it was £7 including cloakroom Then went I left I was told my ticket didn’t match the ticket on my coat had to show photographic evidence that it was my coat and wait 15-20 minutes before doorman would give my coat back Also was accused of shouting which I wasn’t but music was so loud I had to speak loudly. This experience has caused me great distress and won’t be advising anyone to go there or thirsty goat in near future Also good wasn’t worth £30 better food in Kraków half the price Accoustic guitarist was good tho

Great value and good food. I was with a party but couldn't pay for meal separately. Should be a way to provide for this.

We walked past the courtyard for The Thirsty Goat a couple times before finally deciding to go in. It's in a nice part of Belfast, with a few others places to eat and drink all within walking distance. The courtyard can get pretty crowded, which meant a bit of a wait at the bar. However, they had live music with a good singer singing oldies that got the rest of the courtyard singing to. There's something magical about drinking with the ones you love, singing to great songs, and the bar around you signing along. I'm surprised by all the negative reviews, but most of them seem to deal with the food. We didn't eat, but instead we drank, sang, and had a good time in the courtyard, and it was one of the best experiences we had in Dublin. We actually left to find another place to drink, and ended up just coming back!

Visited here for dinner. The table layout to sit and have food is awful. Long tables squeezed into booths. Myself and husband had to sit facing another couple as we ordered and ate our meal. We may as well have been in the same party. Food was poor. Not somewhere I would be hurrying back to.

We decided to try the Thirsty Goat for Lunch as we regularly Watch the music in the courtyard and we Extremely Disappointed . I ordered the mince pie and it tasted as if there was a full Container of salt in it. The Pie was that salty i was unable to finish it and needed lots of water for the rest of the day . My partner got the Chicken Burger and there was like a smoked weird tasty of it so we just paid the bill and left . I would avoid this place as it simply has not got the food right but Entertainment is Always Good .

I was enjoying some drinks on a trip to Belfast with my wife , as I was heading to the bar for another drink the group playing started into a Republican Song 'Sean O'Farrell'.

The courtyard at The Thirsty Goat was packed and the live music was GOOD as we walked place looking for another place to visit on our first night in Belfast. The pull was strong and we gave in...worth it!

Really nice place, only thing would be that the girl with dark hair behind the bar is a real moody b***h. Never said thank you, sighed loudly when we asked for water which considering we'd just got our 4th £25 round you'd think that wasn't too much considering were paying her wages. Still had a good time despite her awful attitude :)

We have just eaten at this authentic Irish bar which was recommended by our hotel. Outside it said it was only open until 8, and by the time we entered it was already 7.35. However, they found us a table and we had a lovely dinner accompanied by a great guy playing the guitar. The food was really good - huge portions. I had a southern fried chicken burger and my husband had the chicken curry - served with soda bread! People were still coming in well past 8pm. It's just a pity it doesn't stay open later. I would highly recommend this place which is tucked away down a back street near Belfast Cathedral.

En Belfast para trabajar y no quieres ir muy lejos del hotel. Musica en vivo y una comida maravillosa. Tenía tocino chop con colcannon y fue fantástico. El personal era muy amable, aunque estaban ocupados. Sin duda volveré aquí

Went to what is now called the Thirsty Goat for drinks with lots of friends, the drinks were not too expensive and they had a range of wines, ciders and beers as well as spirits. Good outside seating area and live music added to the atmosphere. Went inside to get a drink as outside was quite busy and the decor was dated and atmosphere dead so I'd recommend sitting outside.

Went for lunch with my parents today. My Mum had Irish Stew which was partial cold, I have scampi and chips, it was an insult to prawns to call it scampi as there was very little in the way of scampi, mostly batter. My dad had a starter which was just ok. Staff seem indifferent. Over inflated prices for what we got. Not good quality food at all

I went to the Thirsty Goat for dinner with a disabled friend of mine and we were initially ignored by all the staff. When I spoke to the waitress she cut me off very rudely and walked past me to go serve other tables. We sat down for around 10 - 15 minutes and were expecting to be served but none of the staff appeared willing to come anywhere near us. All the staff seemed to like to be behind the bar and not out serving customers. Upon asking at the bar, we were told that food was only served at certain tables - there was nothing to indicate which tables were food-only tables. We went and sat at another table. After another 10 or so minutes we were finally handed menus. We were not even offered a drink. After another 10 - 15 minutes and with no sign of any of the waiting staff we decided that we had had enough and got up and left. This was a terrible experience for my disabled friend. I would not recommend this bar at all. There are plenty of other bars and restaurants nearby - we went a little further and found a much better place at Restaurant 44 in Hill Street.

It was a lovely day, so sat in the outside bar of the Thirsty Goat for drinks. However as they charge £1.85 for a small bottle of soda water, 3 drinks came to £18.90! Service was very slow too. Didn't go back.

Nothing flash, just decent grub for a decent price. Modern, minimalist decor, relaxed atmosphere, great service. We both enjoyed our visit and we would come again. Thank you.

If you've been to the Dirty Onion and then walk in here a bit pissed, you might think they've moved the bar to opposite side and get quite annoyed at how there was no need to do this. Once you're passed this you'll find it's quite nice, service is prompt it's clean and the door staff are very friendly.

Came here as a couple on a recommendation. I had been here for a few drinks in the evening before and went for Sunday lunch today. Really good variety of food to choose from and I simply couldn’t have asked for better. Probably one of the best meals I’ve had in Belfast! Had tomato and sweet pepper soup for starter and a roast beef dinner for main. My partner had cheesy garlic soda and the boxty. Both left totally full - generous portion sizes. 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 drinks for £36. And to top it off - a live acoustic singer for lovely background ambience. I’ll be back!

Visiting for a few days and were told to give her a try and we are very pleased we did. Arrived here to see it was busy and was greeted by a very helpful member of staff called "Gerry" explained there might be a wait but it shouldn't be to long. Got seated within 15mins.

Staff are very unwelcoming, inside was way too many people, it took forever to get a drink. We left and went to one of the many better bars in the area.

We ate downstairs in The Thirsty Goat. This bar could easily have more tables and chairs than it does so there is plenty of room within the premises. The menu has an interesting selection and the specials added to the choice. Apart from the hearty and tasty food there was also music on offer with the guitarist being quite entertaining. We thought this was a pretty good venue for our last meal in Belfast before heading northwards along the Causeway Coastal Route tomorrow,

Me dijeron que no podía reservar una cabina en un viernes por la noche, pero si me dieron 10 ish debe ser bien, cosa que hicimos, y el personal nos señaló en la dirección correcta - dieron un stand para nuestro grupo y tuvimos una gran noche. We just popped in on the off chance of getting a much needed Sunday Lunch, we were in last night just drinking and noticed the food looked fab so today when we were dying for a Sunday lunch called in asked for a roast beef dinner, they did not fail us it was tremendous.

Had a few drinks in here on a Saturday night and found staff very helpful, returned on Sunday afternoon for lunch and order a Sunday roast, it arrived quickly on a hot plate with very tasty veg, roast potatoes, beautiful mash and the roast beef simply fell apart when you showed it a fork ! Honestly the best lunch I’ve ever had, staff were very attentive and professional, in my eyes it was perfect.

Nice place. Bit noisy but I'm older now! Good ale. That's what matters! Spot on nice place.

Had an amazing night at 21 social good club with great music. Only downfall is that is closes too early. We then returned to the thirsty goat for food which was amazing huge portions for your money and tasted great. Staff were lovely and so helpful

Renamed the Thirsty Goat now but still and excellent bar with food. They've removed a few of the restaurant tables to make more room for the bar seating and that was a great idea it was packed the night we went in, but service was still efficient and quick. Plenty of choice and great atmosphere well worth a visit

Llamamos a 21 Social/Cabra sed para beber en la noche del sábado. El lugar era absolutamente a tope con una diversa gama de clientes, incluyendo los locales y turistas. No había habitación interior así que el bar al aire libre nos aprovechamos de calentadores de techo y un bar que era menos ocupados. La única desventaja de nuestra visita fue la presencia de una goma que parecían borrachos daba la intención de toparse con nosotros en cada oportunidad posible. Me sorprende que el personal de la puerta, que parecía estar alerta en la mayoría de otras maneras, no mostrar esta persona hacia la salida.

Great place to meet new poeple if your young and want a big night out this is the spot

Called in here for food and cocktails on the recommendation of a friend but came away extremely disappointed. Arrived around 2pm and place was deserted (even for a Monday). Setting nice enough - although absolutely freezing - so tried to order some cocktails... Didn't have the ingredients for either of our first two choices (lol) so ended up relying on the barman to come up with one for us. To be fair this was good - if somewhat sweet - but the mojitos which followed it verged on the undrinkable. So sour, it was an effort to get them down. As for the food, starters of nachos were excellent, wings very good also, but the 'Cajun chicken stirfry' was honestly one of the poorest mains I think I've ever eaten. 4-5 slices of anaemic chicken (which appeared to have been microwaved) dusted with what I presume was Cajun seasoning over a bed of what can only be described as half noodle/half cabbage. Totally lacking any flavour or seasoning and with a horrid slimy texture to it, absolutely vile. We should have sent them back to be fair but by this stage we were eager just to leave. Wouldn't even consider returning.

My friends and I were on a hen party and decided to book into a club with a booth so we could leave our coats, get a seat from dancing etc.

Arrived at Thirsty Goat at 12.55, ordered a drink and then proceeded to ask for Menu to order lunch, only to be told Kitchen was closed as there were too many orders to be dealt with and a table of 16 was due in. My first thought, SERIOUSLY, its lunchtime, surely the kitchen should be able to support a lunchtime rush, will not be back, walked over to Cloth Ear and were served without any problem.

Ora si chiama "The Thirsty Goat", ed è un pub piuttosto esteso con spazi interni ed esterni dove ogni sera si esibiscono diversi artisti live. Anche d'inverno gli artisti si esibiscono in un'area all'aperto, ma ci sono diverse lampade a calore che scaldano l'ambiente circostante. Se volete bere una birra in allegria e ascoltare musica pop/folk/blues contemporanea (dipende dalle serate, ovviamente), è il posto giusto.

I visited The Thirsty Goat on Boxing Night, the door man took a firm look at two of the men in our group why I am unsure but anyways...slow service at the bar little staff on & time consuming cocktails being made someone should be doing these while others are serving others then two guys were lifting chairs threatening to throw them, banging into people yet no door men came in until various people left feeling intimidated then finally 4 bouncers came into remove them!

Fuimos a la cabra de la sed por una Navidad con unos compañeros de trabajo y aunque no creo que sea justo juzgar un bar/restaurante basada en su almuerzo de Navidad me pareció que era bastante mediocre y mal entregado. Una vez la comida estaba demasiado nos trasladamos a la segunda planta que estaba frío y ambiente serias carencias. El nuevo bar no parece una gran mejora en lo que había antes, aunque el jardín de la cerveza es excelente, es una ventaja definitiva, incluso si los precios del alcohol son caros incluso en precios de Belfast. . .
