Lovely place after a walk by the beach front.

Advised a wait, but after an hour when only 2 tables before us to cook for was a little ridiculous, made worse as 3°c outside and felt like it inside as no heating! Hollandaise was lumpy, Parma ham was so stringy it was inedible, the plate salad was just red raw onion(not pickled) and a couple of tiny bits of greenery, soup was cold and get told croutons, got toast instead which once dipped in soup, nothing left to spoon up. Offered 2 options for sausage bun, got wrong one. After asking for wine before meal, still waited 15mins.

We booked afternoon tea for my wife's birthday. Selection of sandwiches, scones & sweet stuff. We were absolutely stuffed! Very nice friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere.

We had a sausage roll and a cheese scone. Both delicious. Lovely cup of tea and a coffee. Staff are really friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit.

Fabulous 4 course Sunday lunch. Delicious home-made bread and herb butter, veloute, roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, pre- pudding and chocolate and cherry dessert. Wonderful mix of flavours and textures. Very friendly, helpful staff. Would definitely recommend.

The evening set menu with wine flight was amazing. The flavour combination and presentation of each course was creative and delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive. Will definitely return.

Went in and found a seat and we were looking around for a menu as none were on the tables/in view. As we had literally sat down, a waitress with short blonde hair came with a notepad and asked ‘what could she get us?’ To which my wife replied ‘oh can I get a coffee please’. The waitress was quite abrupt and said ‘…well give me a clue?’. In hindsight we should have just got up and left but we’re a little taken aback. Terrible attitude and unnecessarily very rude. The other waitress with the long dark hair was very pleasant and polite. However due to the former waitress we will not return, three other parties were also asking “What can we have?” Why is there no menu on display? A paper menu even changed daily like in ‘Bonkers’ cafe would be suffice.

Really great food in a beautiful restaurant, we went for Sunday lunch and had 4 wonderful courses. A Sunday roast is a pretty classic concept but the areas that were elevated really added to it, the spiced carrots were a particular favourite and the beef was the star. Looking forward to trying their tasting menu in the future.

Went with 4 friends tonight, to chose from market menu. It was delicious, and ambiance great. Staff are efficient and very friendy. A great place to eat.

Unique. Cafe by day, restaurant by night. The evening set-menu was a delight, rich with flavours and sublime presentation, taste after taste of exquisite food that made us wow mouthful after mouthful. With atmosphere to boot, tipped with friendly and engaging service that exuded both confidence and excitement for the food presented, dish after dish. Whilst I'd like to keep this place a little known secret to ensure I can always get a table, it's simply too good not to share and wish such a delightful experience on others. Please go, enjoy, you will come away happy.

Great food and atmosphere, tried the 3 course menu… 3 dishes were very tasty, meant to take a picture. But left it a bit late. Will be trying the full tasting menu next time.

Really lovely meal, Michelin star quality in Saltburn. Staff were lovely and knowledgeable, vey relaxed service. Will definitely be visiting again. Nice to have something different to enjoy in Teesside!

Absolutely gorgeous food. Excellent service. Nice wines in flight wine although small amounts (125) left you with empty glass too often. Will be back though for the divine food & will buy bottles of wine.

We had the 7 course tasting menu, with an accompanying wine flight of exquisitely paired wines. A truly spectacular collection of dishes making the most of local produce and unique combinations. Bold flavours and fusions with sublime subtleties and complexities layered in. Both comforting and familiar in the heart of the dishes, with exciting and novel twists. Charming staff and a relaxed atmosphere. Truly something special

24/6/23 Very friendly staff, lovely too chat to. Gave our dog Water and treats. Food was quick and beautiful, delicious juicy smash burgers with perfectly toasted brioche buns and salad. The chicken parmo fries are juicy, tender and crispy topped with melted cheese and béchamel sauce. The smash fries are crispy, tasty and homemade. Not one thing on the menu to dislike. The decor is stunning as it gives a rustic street food atmosphere to the restaurant. Definitely coming back!

Had lunch there today. Food reasonably priced. Ordered 2 pints of Pepsi (came from a 2l bottle next to the bar) and was charged £5 PER PINT. No price list for soft drinks available but absolutely disgusting prices for soft drinks. Would not recommend unless you want to get ripped off.

An interesting modernised Victorian restaurant, with a Wurlitzer to sit on! Well worth a visit for its straightforward quality food good service and interesting and delightful atmosphere.

This is a gem of a place in Saltburn, me and the wife Popped in on a Saturday lunchtime I would advise other people to do the same because the food is beautiful, the staff and the owners are very nice and friendly (including the chef), deffo coming back to this lovely place 😀

New owners 2 months ago, so all photos and reviews don't make any sense anymore as they are for the old place. Food is different and nothing like the photos. If it's a new owner I believe reviews and photos should be wiped.

Great little place when visiting Saltburn by the Sea. Food menu was limited due to finding a chef but what we did have was great. GoonDocks is also dog friendly and our dog got some lovely treats from the staff

Originally wanted to go for food but the chef wasn't in that day. Was a little disappointing the lack of people inside and therefore didn't create the best atmosphere. The cocktail list wasnt large but the cocktails were very nice. Few lagers and a craft beer on draft. Very instagramable venue. Fast and friendly service.

Loved it! We’d seen some pictures on social media of the food and drink and set a day aside to visit. We arrived around lunch time, but at that time it was a reduced menu..the stuff we wanted wasn’t being served until after 4, so we reserved a table and headed out round saltburn for a couple of hours. So glad we returned! The food was amazing, the cocktails were beautiful. The staff were brilliant and the bill was excellent value for money. Loved the decor too, splashes of 80s nostalgia all over. Can’t wait to visit again

Decent food at a decent price! Really loved the coffee. Unfortunately the food took almost an hour to arrive so I can't give 5 stars. Quite a loud atmosphere in a small space too.

Really enjoyed the food. Beyond friendly staff... Lost 1 star, purely because its not child friendly, as in no children cutlery, no boosters, yet have a child's menu. (I am well aware their main clients aren't children) All round would happily go again!!

Decor is lovely. It's a funky little place. Staff was brilliant and couldn't be any more happy to help with any needs. The food is unreal.

The food is really nice, The fries are exceptionally good and the design of the place is excellent, there is a lot of greenery and is definitely a 10/10, I would definitely recommend going. Just finished I loved it I personally love the plain burger with onion rings, as I said before the Fries are to die for. They are so nice!! Overall definitely go, they do specials from around the world (I think I just heard them say that). This is the second time I have been here and it is sooooo good, I love it❤. Got the bill really cheap it was £84 for 6 people for that meal it was excellent, I have to say if you have a event, birthdays, baby showers, partys. Definitely go here.

Friendly staff and good food at a decent price

Super friendly staff and a good choice on the menu, just what we needed on a freezing trip to the seaside. The staff even refilled someone's hot chocolate as it had gone cold, top customer service. Oh, and they've got some 80s memorabilia on the walls, with the clever use of He-man and She-Ra for the loos.

Very nice spot, super cool diner style with lots of retro references... "hey you guys!" The vegan and vegetarian options are particularly excellent ❤️ Only thing they could do with is a baby change facility, a pull out table somewhere... but it's not a very big place so hard to fault them on this. Will definitely return for more treats!

Happy hour 4 till 6 Wed Thur and Fri. 3 huge main dishes and 2 drinks for 25 quid. Dishes are so big we took one home..crazy good quality, brilliant service. Hugely impressed

Such an amazing place to go! The food was amazing, the staff all had smiles on their faces and are really bubbly which added to the experience! I never ever write reviews but felt that I had to for this place. If your thinking of having a party or a function honestly this place hands down is the best in redcar and Cleveland by a mile When we booked this for a baby shower I never thought in a million years it would be as good as it was and I'm at that age were baby showers are a regular thing. We all got welcome cocktails on arrival. Which were amazing. The buffet was something else, honestly could of fed 50 people there was so much and so much choice. We had 2 vegans in the party who were also cooked there own separate meals which were also fab. As for Value for money, what we paid per head was nothing compared to what we received. If I knew how good it was going to he I would of paid double what we paid. The staff were just genuinely sound. They couldn't do enough for you. Drinks flowed. Music was great. The whole afternoon had a really good vibe to it (we all know baby showers can be a bit meh). I wish I had a big birthday or something coming up so I could book the full place again as I feel if this was a Friday or saturday night. It would be one hell of a party.

Lovely little restaurant in Saltburn. It was extremely busy the day we visited as the weather had unexpectedly turned very sunny. I deducted a star as we waited ages for service. We had a sharing portion of philly cheese steak chips and buffalo wings. The wings were delicious but the chips were let down by more of a cheese sauce topping rather than cheese which made the chips soggy ( a criminal offence). Would certainly visit again .
