Very friendly place. Hopefully the boating lake gets developed

I forgot to take pictures but this unassuming little cafe is as good as the reviews I read before my visit. A varied group of clients all enjoying good food and the odd cocktail in a very friendly atmosphere. Lovely staff and great cakes too!

We were staying in Redcar for the night and found this little gem after looking for somewhere local for breakfast that had gluten free options. The waitress couldn't have been more helpful in going through options that were suitable for my husband (he opted for the mini full English and was able to switch out the gluten containing sausage for an extra slice of bacon), my daughter and I shared a scrambled egg on toast and the Greek yogurt bowl (pictured!) All the food was fantastic! Thanks for a very lovely way to start our day!

Great little cafe on the seafront. Service was excellent and the food was good and reasonably priced

They have made the old tatty boathouse into an excellent place for a long lunch. First class throughout.

Had breakfast here, food was very good, service excellent. Nice clean toilets, especially good if you are disabled. Easy access.!! Friendly atmosphere and will call again soon.

An excellent little bar/café by the boating lake (as featured in It's A Knockout in 1976). Ideal for teas & coffees with a little something sweet or cocktails & mocktails and a light meal. Good parking on the promenade and nicely sheltered for when that wind blows off the North Sea. Lovely staff, excellent service, friendly crowd, and bloomin' good coffee.

The food was good but waiting for our order was very long even though it wasn’t that busy. Also the toilet facilities were open to all whether a customer or not which was a bit off putting! Don't think I would go again.

Excellent breakfast sandwiches, other things on customers tables looked great too.

Great little cafe for food and drink. We stopped her on our way home from a wedding. Lovely little place. However it could have been missed if it wasn't for the young fella at the top of the steps who recommended us.

What a charming oasis, lovely breakfast was had yesterday morning.....mmmmm😋 served with a lovely cup of Yorkshire tea (others are available, Mrs had her usual a latte) situated by the boating lake, seating inside or outside.... Lovely staff....gonna be a regular stop off for me...🤓👍

Lovely place to go, just a bit further walk than most would go from all the busy pubs. But that is what makes it special and the ambience and views on a sunny day.

Sat outside with my flat white which isn't a flat white. 1 shot of coffee adding hot water and frothy milk isn't a flat white. 2 shots of coffee and creamy milk is a flat white. Then being told there's 2 shots of coffee in each cup when I watched her put 1 shot in per cup isn't nice.

What a little gem! The venue was used for my surprise party, it is absolutely stunning. Striking wallpaper adorned the walls, then you turn round abd are greeted by the panoramic view of the boating lake. Fabulous stocked bar for many a various cocktail and alcoholic drink, along with the usual hot drinks. The bar staff are exemplary and so very helpful. Couldn't give this wonderful venue more than the best review as it really was 'the best!!'. Thank you for the most wonderful night.

We came away for a weekend and the boathouse was a lovely gem that we found. Lovely staff, very atentive Lovely food and great cocktails Made a fuss of our dog who loved the sausages

Initially plumped for going here as nowhere else open on a wet Sunday morning, and really enjoyed it. Coffee was excellent and The bacon butty very welcome. The interior is nicely done. Staff were excellent.

So me and my partner walked in with our 4year old son after finding a table and a spare chair from one of the waiters I got up to go get served for some drinks the bar/ counter was empty I stood and waited while staff where preparing drinks ect to then see a lady come in walk up and stand near me obviously me been first I was waiting to be called the server then said are you paying to the women in the queue or ordering ahead said ordering so then began her order I was disgusted because it was as though I was invincible never to return rude and ignorant

We had a nice lunch here. Two families both with dietary requirements. Gluten free food was nice and great to see a couple of options. My food allergy taken into account. Food was OK, beer was nice, reasonably priced and comfortable. Food range was great. Will be coming back to try a breakfast. There were too many dogs in. One dog yapping at everything, one growling. Dog friendly is one thing but too many in spoils the atmosphere. Staff were stroking a puppy.

Dogs welcome, so find it difficult not to play with all the canines. Staff are great. Can feel a little crowded when busy.

We had to take our drinks away as was so busy (can't be helped) but felt there was no where to stand whilst waiting. Staff didn't acknowledge us for ages, to busy talking to each other. Drink was very average (hot chocolate)

Nice simple cafe that is dog friendly. Several menu items were not available, however recommend the Jacket Potatoes and Pannini's

Really nice bacon. You should have the option of a bun, though, and it should be hot. Also, sauce should be HP/Heinz as cheap sauce doesn't fit with the image you're trying to portray.

I feel like we only write reviews about places we love, or those we hate.... This is a LOVE! What a delightful, vibrant, hub. Dog Friendly, which was a life saver for us but as one of the only dog friendly places is town there were a few very well behaved dogs, which our floof was very comfy with. The staff were fab, but we were there when it was busy and we had ample time to be patient so it wasn't an issue that it took a little time. The food was fresh and delicious, we visited several times during our weekend visit to redcar and would be very happy to recommend this great spot.

Lovely gem of a place for a lunchtime meet up!

Had a well needed cuppa & bacon sandwich. Hubby had scrambled egg on toast & a coffee. Enjoyed them. Nice friendly service. We came from Sunderland just a shame the weather was grotty would have liked a good look around. Would come again.

Having had a coffee there the previous day, I decided go back and try the full English breakfast. Excellent meal that was clearly cooked to order. Staff were really pleasant too.

I absolutely love this place, the staff are amazing, however during the daytime I wish the music was quiter would love to sit and read there but it's a little distracting

The food was ok for a light lunch. My tuna panini came as cheese and jam panini instead, but it was quite nice and I didn't want to wait for another. Dirty hand towel in the ladies - would prefer paper towels.

Nice location but we always seem to get there seconds after food has stopped being served.

Excellent service when my wife and myself had coffee early one morning.The young lady called Molly serving was very helpful and polite ,I cant give any stars for food since we didnt eat.

Started the day with a lovely walk with pip along Redcar beach, breakfast stack and coffee in the boathouse , then on to the mundane shopping etc but finished of with a coffee and piece of rocky road at home from the boathouse xx wonderful 😀

Great food and a lovely place too. The wild mushroom soup with warm bread was just right for a cold winter day.

Great breakfast and Latte will return.
