What can i say? Everything about 1841 is excellent and winsome. Tables cleaned immediately. Staff are naturally pleasant. Prices fair. Coffee delicious. … and, check out the toilets rolls. Sustainable and thoughtful. This place has a GREAT culture.

Best coffee in Glasgow West End hands down and one of the best coffees we ever had! Very friendly and cool staff! We went a few times for a take away coffee and every time it seemed more delicious and rich flavoured. If you're around do yourself a favour and visit it.

A relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Contemporary decor, very inviting and cosy on a cold December morning. Staff were attentive and friendly, food served promptly- delicious vegan breakfast. Excellent coffee. We will definitely return when we’re back in Glasgow.

Please please please don’t ever let the standards slip in here. Most establishments manage to start off with a bang but then slowly but surely the flame created by that bang goes out with a whimper. Thankfully not here. The coffee, the staff, the food, environment. They are all 5 star. I wouldn’t blame anyone from thinking it may be another yuppy coffee shop from the outset, yeh their are a lot of the “cool kids” manning the ship, but trust me when I say their is zero pretentiousness. A more welcoming bunch you will not find.

The cafe sells coffee and snacks. I’ve only ordered lattes from here. The coffee here is good, but pricey. More expensive than the average high street cafe, for a much smaller cup.

I lived in Shawlands for 8 months and only entered this welcoming little cafe on my last weekend there. I wish I'd gone sooner! The atmosphere as you walk in is instantly inviting, the staff are really attentive and friendly, and the interior is mesmerizing. We had a coffee and a breakfast bun, all of which were delicious. The value for money here is great, unlike some of the other cafes in the area. We also bought some plants from here that have really brightened up our home. I can't recommend this little place enough. Will definitely go back next time I'm visiting the area!

Visited today for a takeaway coffee and left very disappointed to be honest. £3.40 for a tiny coffee which wasn’t even what I ordered due to lack of attention being paid. The lady seemed very rushed and I could see the wrong type of milk being used, as well as the syrup I had asked for being carelessly fired at the coffee from a distance and totally missing the coffee itself (couldn’t taste it at all). Card machine was plonked in front of me for payment and the lady serving rushed off leaving me just standing there. I tapped my card and didn’t even get an acknowledgment or goodbye 🤷🏻♀️ Lots of better options in the area with great customer service and far lower prices. Poor service and sadly won’t be back!

South side of Glasgow is starting to get a great vibe for fantastic independent coffee shops, but problem is almost all of them are on Victoria Road or Polloskshaw Road. I was walking from Glasgow Green to Queens Park, and was wanting to grab a morning cup of coffee, but all the usual places head to all mean taking a large detour, but when looking around I noticed a coffee shop appear on Cathcart Road. Great little coffee shop that is really inviting. Staff are excellent and will make your order fresh on the spot for you. Most certainly now firmly one of my top go to coffee spot in Glasgow now.
