No había estado aquí antes y entramos en el salón, nos pidieron que fuéramos al bar para sentarnos ya que no estábamos comiendo. No hay indicios de que esto sea un restaurante, es una sala de pub, pero fuimos al bar. Había 6 habituales en el bar. Nos acompañaron personas con las que habíamos estado antes y un cantante/guitarrista de la compañía comenzó a tocar Caledonia, una encantadora canción escocesa. Le pidieron que desistiera la mujer detrás de la barra, quien dijo que alguien se había quejado, aunque quién era era un misterio, ya que nadie en el bar lo había hecho. La forma en que se transmitió fue muy grosera y todos decidimos dejar el local (aproximadamente 20 de nosotros). Uno de los habituales se disculpó con nosotros cuando nos íbamos. Es un día triste cuando una canción escocesa no puede tolerarse en un pub escocés y aún más irónico dado el nombre de este Inn y el hecho de que está en Bannockburn. El disgusto no lo cubre, nunca volveré a oscurecer su puerta. Actitud sucia.

¡Gran pub! Gran ambiente. Admite perros en el bar. Fuimos justo antes del partido Escocia vs Alemania y los locales eran muy acogedores. ¡Incluso había un visitante alemán allí con un kilt! (¡Aparentemente visita regularmente y puedo ver por qué!) La comida era excelente - mejor pastel de carne que he probado en años (recomendado por un local). El pastel tenía un montón de trozos tiernos de filete, justo lo suficiente de salsa, y el pastel era ligero. El filete de gammon era tierno y sabroso, las patatas fritas eran grumosas y sabrosas. Ojalá viviéramos más cerca para poder visitarnos más a menudo.

Este pub debe ser renombrado como los brazos unionistas, ya que es muy antiescocés. Se volvieron muy groseros cuando alguien cantaba una canción escocesa.

Muy pobre. No lo celebres, escocés, te pidieron que te fueras. Parecía que la mujer detrás de la barra no quería servirnos en primer lugar. Boicotearemos este lugar la próxima vez.

Great wee pub. Reasonably priced food and drink, great sized portions and always a warm welcome. Had my daughter's communion day in here as well and they catered to us brilliantly.

Had a nice walk then stopped into 1314 for a drink and ended up having food, very reasonable priced and very tasty and staff were lovely. Highly recommend 👌

Called in for tea time drink whilst staying at the nearby premier inn. We were made to feel welcome by the bar staff and locals. Great choice of beers and spirits at a reasonable price. Well worth a drink if you’re in the area.

After spending some time in Stirling city centre decided to go somewhere outside the city for a light lunch takeaway.A local recommended the 1314 inn “ as being clean, friendly, and serves good meals “ Parked at rear of restaurant with great views of the hills.plenty of room to park. Went in and ordered our meal , said we were going to eat outside. No problem sit in your car we will bring it out 10 minutes later it was brought out with all the trimmings . Fantastic throughly enjoyable. Great service. And with a smile. Thanks to the staff of the 1314 inn whins of Milton ps children welcome.

We arrived late (usual) service and food was brilliant A+ - my daughter loves the food and the nice atmosphere (myself included) - excellent all round

Great wee pub with cheap and cheerful food, definitely worth a visit if you’re visiting the battle sight nearby. I’m lucky enough to live near it

We didn't dine here as we were on a trip with meals included at the nearby King Robert Hotel. The lounge area is tastefully decorated and is very comfortable with a mixture of seating. The staff were very warm and friendly and made us feel very welcome, overall very good, the food did look good perhaps next time.

Lovely pub/restaurant right next to the 1314 battle ground. Great menu offering classics at reasonable prices. I had a lasagne my husband had steak pie, delicious! Great service to.

Had heard great reviews about the steak pie in the 1314 but it was just ok and the chips were awful as hard inside. Veg was overcooked. The wine and beer were good and not overpriced.

As always great food. Best seak pie in the area. Good service and pleasant staff always go there when having lunch in Stirling.

Had lunch there today. Overall very good - steak pie excellent! Scampi and chips excellent!. Waitress friendly and helpful. However, tuna melt panini very disappointing - tuna still dripping liquid from the tin, and NO cheese - nothing to melt. By definition a tuna melt must have cheese.

This is a great little place. Great food at reasonable prices. Wonderful atmosphere. Had a great family meal here. Highly recommend!

Love this homely little pub with beautiful view from their back windows. Very friendly and pub food great especially their steak pie.

Been to 1314 several times, lovely meals and lovely service. The staff even managed to squeeze us in on a very busy Sunday afternoon. The prices are very competitive too. Always a bonus. If I had to pick anything that could put anyone off going there it would be the limited opening hours for having a meal. However I have recommended 1314 to several people.

stopped off for a meal with the family and had a good feed. Good size portions, decent tasty food and good service. The place had a good atmosphere and was fairly busy, we had to wait for about 15 mins for the food but given how busy it was, I thought that was acceptable. Overall a decent feed and good value

The Inn is nothing fancy but there’s a good choice on the menu (not the same as the one on their website. Same dishes but more expensive) The staff were friendly and we didn’t have to wait long for our food. The steak pie was delicious. I’d recommend that. Couldn’t finish it though and even though the desserts were tempting we just couldn’t eat any more.

Me alojé en el hotel King Robert y este lugar fue recomendado por un habitual en el bar. Ni siquiera me di cuenta de que estaba allí. La comida fue absolutamente increíble. Soy vegetariano y me encantaron los rollitos de primavera de verduras y luego los macarrones. Las porciones eran enormes, por lo que estaba luchando. El personal era encantador. Definitivamente estaré de vuelta.

Went with a friend as hadn’t been for a while and it’s just a laid back nice place. I would recommend no problem

Had lunch between Christmas and New Year and the food was excellent, home made which was just what we wanted. The portions were huge and the service was friendly.

Payed a visit to this Pub when we stayed at the King Robert Hotel and I must say that it was a Lovely Place & Good Atmosphere, the Barmeals looked very nice as people were getting Them although we never had one.

Very nice looking interior, staff are friendly. Prices are very reasonable and food is always hot. Garlic mushrooms are great, however, having had the burger a few times, I've found it to be very dry and they're not very generous with the cheese. Plenty of options on the menu and there's good views to be seen out the window.

Gran acierto cenar en este restaurante en stirling. La comida es la típica escocesa muy bueno el pastel de carne. A destacar el trato familiar súper amables algo que se agradece mucho. Los parroquianos geniales y pasamos un muy buen rato. Un precio razonable 12...

El personal es muy servicial, buena casa fresca comida cocinada. A un precio muy razonable, con algo para todo el mundo.

typical pub food and surounds needs up graded. good staff and clean. Not expensive so was worth the visit.

Been a few times and it has never disappointed so far. Can't go wrong when you have friendly host, good fresh home cooked food and friendly staff and locals alike. Portions are big and as far as pub grub goes it is first class...well worth a visit, bearing in mind it IS a pub Don't think you will be disappointed!

Ashamed to say only found the 1314 recently though I live very near. Food fantastic -service first class and friendly. Have visited another twice in the space of 2 weeks. Says it all really! Well done!

Had a another great meal today at the 13 14 Inn, there were 11of us out for lunch and we came from Dundee we all had a very good lunch everyone enjoyed the food we were all served at the same time, the food was pipping hot, nothing was to much trouble for the staff,

We have been to the 1314 for years and nothing can beat this place for value the food is amazing good size portions and there steak pie is done to perfection ,have been loads of places and would recommend the 1314 to anyone ,friendly staff the lot ,

Definetly the best place to go for something to eat. The food is homemade and is delicious. We frequently visit and have never had a bad meal!!Portions are great and very reasonably priced!! Great for a wee meal with the kids or dinner with some cheap pints.Would definetly recommend - especially the steak pie!!!! Pub is split into 2 parts and the lounge (where the food is served) is very modern.Great atmosphere and good to take the kids too.Staff are always really friendly and helpful!!Couldn't not fault at all!!

We had a great lunch on Friday the the 9th September, the food was that good we booked a table for 6 on the Saturday for evening meal food was fantastic staff were excellent nothing to much trouble for them made to feel very welcome, good food and plenty of banter and the Price was good too, would recommend the 1314 to anyone, we will be back.

This is a great wee place for a bar lunch .It is roomy prices are great portions are huge and the steak pie is the best i have tasted by far .The staff are friendly and polite

My wife and I had two meals in this lovely friendly pub, the steak pie the one night and the sirloin steak the next, both of these meals were delicious and the portions were huge, Very good value and would highly recommend to others.

this pub has great friendly staff,the meals are always piping hot + they are always tasty,there is a lovely view out the back of the pub + the meals are always value for money,it is a great place for families,couples,special occasions,i have gone here for years and i would highly recommend it.

Great friendly pub with loads of character. Food is served in lovely and newly refurbished lounge area. Really comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Good selection on the menu most of which I believe is home made, steak pie and macaroni cheese is always a firm favourite. Service is always brilliant. Can't fault it.

I have just been to the 1314 pub for their Christmas dinner and entertainment night. The food was superb served quickly and warm (loads of it too) the entertainment was excellent the staff could not do enough for you with table service if required throughout the night will certainly be back. And all at very reasonable prices what more could a body ask for

The best steak pie ever. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The menu is very good and there are lots of options for children, really good venue for a family lunch, lots of parking at the back.

this pub will never be in the good pub guide but the staff are very nice and always happy to help you , the prices are not bad and the place is cosy and warm so I would say to you it is good for a wee drink and maybe the food that I have not tried, the toilets are awfull however.

The food as excellent, great value, big portions, home cooked, piping hot. The staff are great, so friendly and helpful. Lots of local characters! Just next to 1314 battlefield and museum. Great little place

Had lunch here recently with friends.Initially I was not too sure about The 1314 Inn as until recently I knew nothing about it.I can honestly say that this is a very good place to have a traditional pub lunch.Plenty tables available with good spacing between them ( one of my pet hates is when restaurant tables are too close together ).The restaurant is well furnished and very clean.Good menu choices at very reasonable prices.Food is served piping hot and tastes lovely .Very good, friendly service.Will definitely be back !p.s I had the best cup off coffee here that I have had for a long time .

Having only recently discovered this lovely wee pub, we have dined here a few times already. Reason being, it's simply one of the best dining places we have come across ! Nicely furnished, with photos featuring local landmarks. Nicely decorated outside, as well. Great food. Very attentive and friendly bar staff, and the icing on the cake, it is VERY reasonably priced. Indeed , it puts many places in Scotland to shame ! The 1314 is now firmly our first choice when dining out. I highly recommend this cosy little pub, whether you want a quiet drink or a lovely meal. It fits the bill for us !

We had lunch here on the way home from Stirling. The food was amazing. We had steak pie and chicken fillets. Will definitely be back.

The atmosphere is great, staff and clientele are super friendly and helpful. The food we ordered was amazing ! great homemade meals and really generous with their portions. If you are going to be passing by Stirling ro staying in Stirling you HAVE to visit this place.

1314 has had a major refurb since it's last bad review in October 2014 at which time the food was very good albeit the surroundings were tired......Check it out almost one year on and the newly styled lounge bar is homely and comfy with some of the best views in Stirling.....The food...well...believe it or not is now even better with an expanded but still compact menu which ensure that everything is freshly prepared, steak pie was always the speciality but it's now been superceded by the Beef Olives which when on special are just to die for......and you will need a big appetite to polish them off......all in all, a hidden gem for quality home cooked food at very reasonable prices.....

What an awesome little pub tucked away in such a cute neighborhood. Named after the year Robert Bruce gained independence for Scotland, this pub has tons of character. Not to mention the views you can have when you're eating dinner. They only have food during the weekends. Otherwise, it's just a bar during the weekdays. But the food is great authentic Scottish pub food. I had the steak pie by recommendation and was not disappointed at all. The staff was quite friendly and served us within a timely matter. It seemed as if everyone somewhat knew each other, the sense of community is comforting! Affordable and somewhere I wish I had access to in Canada. Please give it a go!

Popped in for a wee lunch, recently been done up to a good standard 1314 offered a good choice on menu and had a specials board as well. As a party of 4 we sampled steak pie and scampi. Quick service, good food served piping hot. Will certainly return here.

great place to eat and drink , good food at fair prices.Generally busy but not in any way overcrowded and service is very good ..... family friendly so can be a wee bit noisy depending on what tribe of kids are in but these days that's a bit of a plus if you have a family ( which I don't) . Right on road with car park at rear so super easy for locals and tourists alike and as said the food and drinks won't bust the budget

I'm surprised there are not more reviews.Have fairly recent discovered this place, although I've been local all my life. It has become one of our favourite eating places - even my mum who's a fussy eater - enjoyed her macaroni.The staff are friendly and the meals are of generous portions.Good family atmosphere, away from the bar area.Lovely situation and views from the windows.We look forward to going back soon.

Stopping at the 1314 Inn off the main road going in to Stirling from Stirling Services the big car park at the rear gave us a pub lunch at a reasonable price which was very much enjoyed

this place needed a good clean , will not visit again until " they clean up there act " staff were not in any hurry either.

Liked everything about the 1314 pub good beer nice friendly people giving you advice on we're to visit Their is nothing to dislike about the pub did not eat in the pub but regulates told me they eat in the pub as the food is reasonably priced and well presented, look foreword to retuning to Scotland next year staying in Bannockburn

My family and I were at the reinactment for the Robert The Bruce Bannockburn Day on Sunday 6th July 2014. We had a great family day out and a great meal to finish of our day at the 1314 Inn. Staff were excellent as was the food and the friendly atmosphere. My kids aged 15 and 11 defi will go back for something to eat and we just felt it was a great way to end our day in the 1314 Inn due to the history on their doorstep.
