Really good Piccolo, strong and perfectly balanced with slight sour notes. Good as a place to work on a laptop during the week and catch up with friends on the weekend.

Llegué allí para trabajar con mi computadora, lo cual no fue un problema. El personal era agradable, café bien, un poco caro matcha pero me gustó mucho. Me alegro de tener un lugar como este cerca de mí.

Gran cafetería con personal súper agradable y un lugar agradable para perros. Me encanta su música, café y pasteles. Usualmente vamos al trabajo y hay muchas personas que hacen lo mismo. Gente agradable y excelente lugar para trabajar. Totalmente recomendado

Café muy caro que apenas estaba tibia y también un café con leche, demasiado pequeño. Intento utilizar cafés independientes siempre que sea posible para tratar de detener la marea de. Costas, Starbucks, etc. y entiendo que los gastos generales pueden ser costosos en esta parte de Clapton. Sin embargo, eso no justifica el hecho de que sirva porciones calientes y caros de Luke si va a cobrar una prima que necesita para proporcionar un servicio y producto premium. Lo evitaré Bonito bistro francés a la vuelta de la esquina sirve un excelente café en porciones decentes y en buenas tazas.

Primer desayuno en Hackney ,, estoy tan contenta de haber encontrado este lugar. Ambos tuvimos el huevo escalfado con aguacate y jamón que estaba maravillosamente fresca y perfectamente presentados.

meeting friends for breakfast. Really tasty, tangy breakfast snacks, particularly one with avocado, chilli mayo, pancetta etc. Coffees really great, also juices. We liked simplicity of the decor and good music , aswell as friendly staff

Good cafe here including soya latte but overall the decor is bleak and the music was more like a club vibe and up so loud it made our ears ring, despite asking them to turn it down.

I really like this cafe! they do a banging avo toast with kimchi and vegan chilli mayo... yes people an avo toast with sauce!? thank god. The coffee is amazing, and the masala chai is incredible, my fav cafe in the area for sure.

Love this place, It's got great coffee and a great atmosphere for working in. The staff are really great too, all in all a local gem.

It's kinda like walking into an office, the amount of people nursing single coffees whilst hunched over their laptops is unreal. I asked a dude, out of politeness, if I could sit at the communal (!) table and he huffed at me as though it were some great inconvenience. OK mate, maybe work from home in future. Rude customers aside, food in 119 is great as is the tea, coffee can be hit or miss. Staff super friendly.

I’ve been a regular visitor since it opened (replacing a short lived sofa shop). Consistently excellent coffee. It works hard in terms of changing art displays and occasional evening pop ups.

When I was living at london this coffee shop was in front of my house. I was almost going everyday for drink a cup of coffee. The place is so cute, staff are so kind and coffees are really good.

I have visited 119 several times over the years and have always been so impressed with their coffee (perfect strength every time), lovely staff and amazing food, especially the delicious breakfast salads. The place always has a great atmosphere and seems busy without being too crowded. Best trip here was a spontaneous breakfast on my birthday – I came with a few friends, one of whom decided to buy me a piece of cake to take away. He mentioned to the staff member serving him that it was for my birthday, and she brought it over to our table with a candle on it and a note saying to have a great day. It was super cute and not something you usually see in trendy coffee places :) Could not recommend this place more!

Consistently amazing coffee, served by lovely and skilled staff. So glad to have them to help me wake up and sort out my early morning sore head. I happily walk 15 mins and past 5 other coffee shops to get to these guys, such a good community vibe.

Phenomenal coffee, great sandwiches and salads served before 3, great cakes. They take their time over the coffee, but it is worth the wait and results in some high quality flavours. On weekends they have a no laptops policy before lunchtime, which at first I...

My wife and I popped in to try and get a sandwich on a quiet Saturday afternoon. The girl behind the counter was too engrossed showing her friend a YouTube video to notice we were waiting. Instead I managed to get the attention of another member of staff and was greeted like it was a complete hassle to have to talk to me. I asked if they had any sandwiches and she said they only serve food in the day...it was 3pm. Then she walked back into the kitchen without saying another word. Who do these people think they are??

I really like this independent coffee shop. I've been here twice and the staff are always so friendly and don't mind lingering for a chat. Great place for a short break from work. I had a rich carrot cake with a smooth not overly sweet hot chocolate. Highly recommended.

We were just passing and decided to stop for coffee, tea and cake. The café was quite full with lots of people working on their laptops so there was a quiet atmosphere. We chose the mango and pomegranate cake and the ginger cake. They were both rich and delicious and the loose-leaf green tea, served with a little timer to ensure perfect brewing, was the best I've had.

119 has a much more relaxed feel than its local counterparts. It never packs in the crowds as its Chatsworth Road counterparts do. The food is healthy and reliable. The coffee is good. I just wish they would move quicker. Today, I've had three coffees, and I have had to ask for my coffee after about ten minutes have passed since ordering it. The place is not busy enough to warrant such lack of focus. Four stars could easily be five. I expect my coffee to be delivered by the barista from whom I've ordered before tables are cleared, toilets are checked and whatever else distracted him. Again, a good cafe that could be excellent.

We stopped in near closing. No idea how we wandered in here or why we hopped off our bus randomly at the stop nearby, but we were happy we did. The dude and gal behind the counter were happy to serve us as their last customers of the day. A nice chat directed us to some local craft brew spots for a makeshift pub crawl. Our drinks were both fantastic. Iced coffee and a flat white. The croissant they gave us was one of the best snacks ever. I loved that they took the time to talk to us about our visit and what they like about the area. We really didn't know where we were and they helped us feel welcome and appreciated. Thank you very much!

Went there for breakfast twice. The staff was at both occasions pleasant and yet efficient. The breakfast was full, fresh and did wonders for our hangovers. I definitely recommend a visit, if you are in the neighborhood.

Went in for a quick morning coffee, very slow service. Coffee and pastries/croissants are costly, quality OK but not value for money given the size of small takeaway cups. The whole point of independent coffee shops is offer better value at reasonable prices, not too expensive to keep out the local home grown original Hackney population (who's income may not be that great but not low either) and shouldn't mainly focus on the new comers of hipsters and yuppies. Even Starbucks seems to be better value in comparison and affordable.

Couldn't ask for a better local cafe. Avocado and poached eggs on soda bread and caramelized bananas on sourdough are the stuff breakfast dreams are made of. Great coffee, nice waitresses. Pleasantly stripped down style and a nice hum of chatter on the weekends. Rotating art exhibitions on the walls (for sale!) makes the vibe even nicer.

The coffee in this place is very good, and the people who work there are always friendly. I highly recommend breakfast at the weekends, especially their full breakfast, which is a unique take on a full English. Best cafe in the neighbourhood.
