Freshly cooked food, very generous portions. Friendly, helpful staff. Great atmosphere definitely worth a visit, you won't be disappointed. It's a restaurant you will want to visit reguarly. Highly recommended.

UPDATE experience on the 31/12/24 It all started with a phone call to book a table, did not take my name and when we arrived, was not bothered that I had booked a table. There were two other tables with four people on each, within 15mins we had ordered and drink had arrived, 45mins later the complemently dips arrived with no bread, no sign of our starter, the missus snapped a little at the waiter, the bread arrived but no starter. 10mins later our main arrived (before the second table who was in before us) and all the time it was cold because the front door would not shut properly (they proped at chair against the door). It was like something from faulty towers if you are old enough to remember, will not be going back again, not the first time we have had a terrible experience here lately, we try to support local restaurants but never again at this one. Excellent food, from the warm bread and dips, to the starters and the melt in your mouth lamb shish, too full for dessert. Excellent service and timings with the courses, lovely valentines meal, nice touch with the red rose for the misses. Looking forward to going again, thank you.
