The food we had was good and really well presented. Unfortunately the rather indifferent service let the restaurant down. The wine we chose from the list was not available and was substituted by a bottle from Tesco. There was no offer to let us taste the wine or pour it for us, it was just left on the table. We waited ages for our dessert order to be taken whilst the staff chatted at the bar and in end just got our bill and left. And please don't say 'no problem' every time someone orders from the menu. It shouldn't be a problem!

Took my 12 year old grandson in for a bite to eat after playing a football match and driving back to Stranraer. The restaurant is lovely and the staff so helpful and polite. Food and service was wonderful,we said we would even drive there again for lunch.

£18 for two coffees and two slices of chocolate cake, which was dry plus surly service, will never go back. Plenty of other places to try in Galashiels.
