The Ethical Weigh is a great spot to get healthy vegan food. Vegans certainly are not the only people who go there. Lots of local villagers love the fresh, delicious snacks you can get. There is also a wide range of coffees. You need to come to the Ethical Weigh.

A huge thanks to Vegan Rocket for a delicious chocolate fudge birthday cake for my daughter’s 10 th birthday. It was one of the most moist chocolate cakes I’ve ever tasted and you’d never know it was vegan at all! It’s wonderful to have something like this in Lisburn for my daughter who has allergies to dairy and egg ! I’d highly recommend !

Most enjoyable late lunch in a very unexpected place - Portuguese food served by friendly attentive staff. We asked for dish recommendations and duck rice (arroz de pato) and Francesinha were the offering. We were advised that they would take about 15 mins to prepare and they were well worth the wait. Both were delicious - the Francesinha is a traditional sandwich of steak, ham, chipolata and linguiça covered in melted cheese with a tomato and beer sauce served with tomato and beer sauce and a bowl of chips. It was delicious and filling - only for the very hungry carnivore! Decor is cafe style. Good coffee!

Two of us had lunch here for the first time. We both had the VKFC chicken with sweet potato fries. It was amazing. The dish comes with BBQ sauce, but my colleague asked could she have garlic mayo instead and this was no issue. Really nice atmosphere, very busy and very clean. Looking forward to my next visit already as the menu looks great.

Ordenamos de Scone Mad regularmente para eventos de trabajo y nunca nos ha decepcionado. El menú cambia regularmente, por lo que siempre tenemos una gran selección y los platos siempre vienen con una gran variedad de mermeladas y jarabes. No puedo esperar para ordenar de nuevo.

Situado dentro de la fantástica calle George’s Market, es un espectáculo para contemplar en un sábado por la mañana ocupado. No tengo ni idea de cuántos cafés preparan y sirven, pero es una operación finamente coreografiada entre el equipo. La cola puede salir por la puerta la mayor parte del tiempo, pero sigues moviéndote y no esperes mucho. Y el café y las bromas son excelentes! Gran zona de estar para luego disfrutar de sus bebidas y ver el mundo del mercado pasar.

Pleased to find a delightful, clean, well priced cafe situated in the heart of the city. Serving lovely well cooked fresh food and decent cup of tea. Stumbled upon this little find as we were fed up with the usual high street coffee shops who all offer the same old prepackaged foods at high prices. Here the food quality is excellent...we sampled the most delicious fruit scone, served with real butter and jam, a tasty bacon bap and a pot of decent tea. All well priced. This little cafe was buzzing, hardly a free table which shows how popular it is. I will def return again and sample lunch next time.

Beautiful cafe. I go here almost every day. The coffee is great and the owners are the nicest people, always a smile and a chat to be had. Definitely my favourite cafe in Newry

We enjoyed the lunch special of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and corn on the cob. We also had a burger, another sandwhich, and a milk shake. Very good food. Excellent service. Fun atmosphere. A good local cafe.

Visitamos martes por la mañana una salchicha y huevos desayuno bap y un té, Las salchichas son excelentes creo que decía que estaban Mawhinneys, el huevo era perfecto y los bap tostado bien y no romper cuando empezó a comer. El personal era muy amable y servicial. Volveremos cuando esté en Belfast

Sólo cayó en Bar Dukes para una rápida pinta antes de llegar el tren a casa. La categoría de 5 estrellas es para el Guinness. Nunca he probado una pinta de stout tan bueno como este. Media docena de intenciones de estar en el bar cuando fui, principalmente hablar de fútbol. Parecía un tipo simpático camarero de colega y me agradeció en mi camino de salida.

Went to Rowan Tree Cafe on their first Steak night where bring your own bottle was an added bonus. Situated in a small enterprise centre on the outskirts of Pomeroy this small cafe offered much more than steak. With four in our party we were greeted warmly by joint owner Helen and our superb waitress for the evening Aishling. Menus read we had a variety of starters including leek and potato soup, mushrooms and salted chilli chicken. Empty plates for all 4 starters evidence of well cooked well presented food. Mains ordered were 3 steaks and seared salmon with pasta. Steaks appeared to be much larger than 8oz cooked as ordered and accompanied with beef tomatoes mushrooms chips,mash and onion rings as standard not as extras. Great food which was also served quickly. Onto desserts 3 ordered, apple crumble and custard, white chocolate sponge and custard and choc cake with ice cream. Large helpings delicious and great end to the evening. With 4 very well satisfied diners the bill was also a surprise which when compared to other eating establishments in neighbouring villages and towns represented great value for money. With the bring your own bottle option which did not incur any corkage charges this was a really enjoyable dining experience made also even more so as the cafe had no blaring music allowing all diners to have conversations without the need for shouting. Whilst the cafe is small and has little in the way of ornate furnishings what it offers in buckets is great food, great service, great value and a very warm welcome and appreciation of your business. It was also noticeable that the cafe also had a high level of take away calls which is a good sign of quality. So folks keep an eye out on Rowan Tree Facebook for the next steak night and get your table booked you will not be disappointed. We will certainly be back.

Great selection of lunches and snacks, great staff serving delicious coffee. You can also earn a free coffee for every 6 purchases with your Sparks card :)
