For two weeks, we started most mornings in Kilkeel with big, welcoming smiles and delicious, reasonably priced breakfasts from Janet and her staff at Neptune's Larder Cafe. Highly recommend this cafe for breakfast and lunch. David and Marian

What can I say about this place? It’s hard to find a reason to visit the big city of Bangor and in-fact I used to find reasons not to visit but this Bar has changed all that and I now welcome the pilgrimage up to Costa Del Bangor like many Belfast inhabitants enjoyed before me in the heady summer days of the 60’s. Ginge’s is the perfect infusion of Aladdins Cave and Willy Wonkas chocolate factory and will have you going down a rabbit hole Alice herself would have marvelled at. A place where amazement and wonder are around every corner due to the atmosphere casually swinging from one of being on a special ops mission behind enemy lines with a crack team of Bangor veterans trying to compete a poker hand to one of casually chilling in front of an open fire with live music resembling days gone by whilst having craic and prime ministers questions with clientele you simply wouldn’t come across in your normal everyday life. From Olympians, musicians, tech savvy professionals and Dothraki bloodriders, Ginges has it all under one roof. Add to this an owner bringing in guest chefs to cook up bbq fare fitting of its surroundings and you found a niche in the hospitality sector. Ham hocks, lamb legs, sides of beef and multiple corn snacks are laid down in a feast fitting of a banqueting table of the tudors themselves. A unique experience indeed and one not to be passed up

Visito Ross's Cafe regularmente en viajes a Belfast desde Londres. Es un café independiente, excepcionalmente establecido, establecido y administrado por el propietario, y mi "ir a" café de elección cuando visite Belfast. Tiene un ambiente cálido, acogedor y relajado con muebles, decoración e iluminación encantadores y es un cambio refrescante de la experiencia de la cadena de cafeterías. Piense en el delicioso boeuf bourguignon con pan fresco y crujiente, albóndigas recién preparadas en una maravillosa salsa y espagueti y también en el menú del viernes pasado estaba una deliciosa tortilla española. El café siempre es excelente. Los precios son siempre muy razonables para los maravillosos artículos que se ofrecen. Realmente no puedo recomendar Ross's Cafe lo suficiente.

Este lugar es genial. Me encanta la decoración y si pudiera escapar con unas fotos de peluche debajo de mi suéter en el camino de salida. La comida es excelente cocinada desde cero y a un precio razonable, así que es sólo un café y galletas o una comida a un conejito feliz

A bijou ice cream and coffee cafe along Kilkeel Main Street. Its really cosy with comfy seating. The folks serving are delightful. Kilkeel is a small village in the Mourne mountains on the Co Down coast with a fishing fleet. It has two fish producer organisations on the small harbour but I don't know why one isn't enough and I suppose I don't much care, I just noticed it. The cafe sells delicious Mauds ice cream and it's simply better than any other ice cream I've ever had - so there - ya can keep yer Häagan Dazs and Gerry & Ben. Clarke's too and as for Baskin Robbins - well no thank you very much. Mauds has been in the Ice Cream age now for over 40 years. I've been eating delicious Pooh Bear (honeycomb & vanilla) and my wife mint choc chip all that time. One medium Pooh one small (which isn't small) mint both cones £4.35. What's their secret, as well as taking for granted top notch premium ingredients is the one ingredient never ever on any label Overrun. Mauds doesn't have it. See what you can find from your ice provider of choice as most large scale manufactured ice cream is made up of 30% - 50% air content on average, so you may not have noticed that you are being ripped off. As well as paying for air, the cheap ice - cream makers also treat you to nonfat milk solids, corn syrup solids, mono and diglycerides, cellulose gum, guar gum, carrageenan, artificial colour, and artificial flavour. All to inflate their profit margins. Yum yum?

Precioso restaurante y comida fantástica! Estado aquí dos veces en Navidad para la cena de Navidad y me encantaría volver. El ambiente es estupendo, el servicio es eficiente y el personal es muy amable y servicial. Relación calidad-precio genial y lo recomiendo!

The best red velvet cake I’ve ever had and still is to this day. The fry and coffee is very good here too. Wish I lived close by.

Excellent fry freshly cooked plesant staff good service slight wait for freshly cooked food only to be expected well worth the short wait Can be busy and maybhave to wait for a table (always a good sign !) For those in the know this cafe is themed around the famous Rory Gallaher and his band Taste !

Great little bakery tucked in the centre of the town which caters for sit in and takeaway. Their pancakes and sandwiches are by far the best and freshest in the town for consuming. Cakes and buns are also amazing (try the caramel squares)

Can't say enough about the Flax, from the cosy, olde worlde surroundings, the plus of having a river beside it has to have one of the best settings. Good varied menu with lots of really nice and different choices than the usual run of the mill cafes. Service is exceptional. p.s they do their version of an Ulster Fry which is absolutely a belly buster LOL, my husband had difficulty finishing it and I know I would have struggle to eat half of it. Highly recommend this lovely cafe.

Outstanding. St Matthew's is beautifully furnished and the people were so welcoming. A must stop when in Belfast & Short Strand.
