The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Chailey and Wivelsfield Lewes South East

We have been eating at this pub for years. We knew it was the same chef, supposedly, but i must say our party of 4 all agreed that our Sunday roast was not as good as it used to be earlier in the year, under the previous owners. A miniscule sprig of broccoli and 2 round slices of carrot just really didn't please us for the vegetables. The roast potatoes were hard in the middle too! Ther nut roast had run out, even tho we were the first to arrive at the pub sitting. The Beetroot wellington was awful as a vegetarian roast! We couldn't fault the staff, as they were very good. Feeling disappointed as the roasts used to be very very good.

Service was friendly enough and luckily plenty of room for all 8 in my group to sit. However, there was flies everywhere which made it a fairly unpleasant experience. There was also a dead fly in my son's beans. When I took it back, they found more dead flies in the beans 🤢. Disappointed by only 3 choices on the menu, Also, no mention of allergies/what was in the pies. If I had known there was mushrooms in the pie I would not have ordered it.
