The best restaurants serving Mexican food in South Lakeland North West

What a great find, lovely place and Lynn was a fantastic host, great food, down to earth atmosphere, food was spot on and plenty of it… highly recommend. Even let me charge my phone… superstars…. Duane and Ben… (big burrito ideal after climbing Helvellyn.)

On our little trip away to Ambleside, we heard that this small family run business was the best spot to eat in the town so we had to try it. The takeout style of this restaurant was incredibly effective with little seating inside and a small bar where you order your food and drinks and talk to the owner whilst you order your food. We ordered a beef quesadilla, a chicken quesadilla, a beef burrito and 3 chicken tacos which came to around £43 which was so worth it. Food and service was an absolute 10/10, will most definitely be returning when we come back to Ambleside in the near future.

First time in Ulverston and we were so happy we stumbled across this place. Delicious food with some great specials and interesting sides, speedy service and friendly staff. Can’t recommend it enough

Very good food. Lovely atmosphere. Small quaint intimate restaurant with ‘cellar bar’ for arrivals and/or drinks. Can imagine lovely outdoor experiences in the courtyard in summer and drier months. Excellent food. Preordering food is different obviously to most places but where initially it felt like it slightly disadvantaged the experience because it is nice to sit down and discuss the menu with others. However, the food came so much quicker after sitting down to eat that actually preordering was advantageous in some regard.

Ate here with our 2 kids aged 7 and 14. They both found something they loved. We had 10 dishes between the 4 of us which was recommended by the staff, this was just the right amount. Great drinks, friendly staff and a nice ambience about the place. Tucked away so don't miss it.
