The best restaurants serving Japanese food in Westgate Canterbury South East

We were a table for ten people this evening, and had a big party platter of assorted sushi, absolutely exquisite! The mackerel was divine, as was the salmon and the sweet prawn. Followed that up with Bao buns with pork and bbq, miso soup, chicken ramen and steak and egg noodles, and a grilled mackerel. All were exceptional. Really fresh, very tasty and so nicely presented. The service was excellent, the staff all so friendly and very patient. We’ll definitely be returning, as it was also such good value for money. Top night out.

SEVERE FOOD POISONING Had sweet chilli chicken and noodles. Was asked at the counter if I wanted it "heating up" which I thought was odd. I asked if it was hot and they said it was OK. Seeing as it should've been safe to eat and I was eating in I said it was fine. Anyways, 5 days of extreme illness and a day in hospital followed. Severe food poisoning related to bacteria from chicken. I hadn't had any other chicken all weekend. Currently writing to kokoro to explain what happened.

The roti raisukatsu starter was absolutely delicious. Firecracker chicken and hoki fish were good, but frankly i think the food in Pho is better. Service was moderate. Smily people, but my chicken arrived after my wife had finished her fish.
