Real honesty, I don’t live anywhere near London but every visit I will hop on the tube or grab a taxi to take me there to eat. I won’t eat any other form of Asian food in London. It’s the best, even if it is small and compact, better small and busy than large and half empty. Great atmosphere and amazing service. Ps. Sorry only photo I took as I don’t like taking pictures of my food

Stopped here for some food on our way to see a play at The Young Vic. Our server was very nice, we enjoyed the food too. However, my wife and I don’t eat meat, only fish. She’s stricter than me as I’m a more recent convert towards a fish only diet so she wanted to ensure that the fish and meat were cooked separately before ordering. She asked the person serving us who didn’t seem sure so asked this extremely surly looking fella who was prepping food. He wasn’t just surly his response was downright rude. Not only that, whilst we were eating I was watching another person (discreetly) vaping in the food prep area. Anyway, the stars are for the friendly person who served us and the food, the average rating though is for everything else. Suffice to say we won’t return…

Having been seated, we waited for quite a while before we were asked what we'd like. I chose the yen burger and chips, and found resistance when asking for the Dashi seasoning not to be added. Some minutes later, a waiter arrived with a bowl of chips, then left. The chips didn't have the dashi seasoning, thankfully, and I added my own salt. The chips were very nice. However, I stopped eating them because as is normal, people eat chips with their burger. About five minutes later my burger arrived. I said that it wasn't great that the chips arrived so long before the burger, and the waiter seemed surprised, and that the chips were a starter. I said that I should have been told that, because in all restaurants the chips come at the same time as the burger. He again tried to defend the policy, and shrugged, oblivious of the problem. After eating the overpriced "wagyu" burger (it was £16, and not tastier than the standard Aberdeen Angus burger), I went to the till to pay. I requested the service charge to be removed. The server didn't even ask why. I guess she had been told of the obviously difficult customer. So I asked for a menu, and what a surprise, the chips are stated as a side. Not as a starter. I told the server this, and yet more shrugging. I suggested they at least tell people their chips will arrive first. She attempted to humour me, so I left. Awful attitude from staff, awful bizarre policy of chips before a burger, lying from staff, tiny writing on the menu, mediocre overpriced burger, and good chips. Avoid. And for any staff member who can then reply to this, which will leave me with no right of reply, there is no defence of serving chips a full 5 minutes before the burger arrives, especially when you don't tell customers. I am certain that I'm not the first person to mention it. If any reply to this is as rude as your staff in person, I can always return.
