The best restaurants serving Italian food in Oystermouth Swansea South Wales

Singularly the best Italian meal I've enjoyed in a very long time. As a group of for, we called in at opening without a booking and gratefully could be accommodated ahead of some other bookings. Immediately impressed by a cosy, comfortable and relaxing dining space. The team there are friendly, helpful and professional and really knew their food. As a group we tried a lot from the specials board and they were very special! The mussels in nduja sauce were remarkably good. The lamb ragu pasta equally so. It was a lovely impromptu evening made very memorable by everyone at Cwtchina Italiana. Can't recommend you enough. Thank you

Food was delicious. Service was brilliant. Unfortunately another family thought it was appropriate to let their kids watch Baby Shark on full volume, but the staff could not have been more accommodating with moving us to another table. Thank you.

Would be handy if they wrote on the boxes which ones vegan.

I was really looking forward to my dinner here, but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. Despite making a reservation, we were seated at a makeshift table in the middle of the restaurant, surrounded by noise. It felt more like an afterthought than a reserved space. The drinks came out half-empty and were either missing the Prosecco or the tonic water , which was disappointing. The mains were decent, but the desserts were a real letdown. The tiramisu was warm and melted, with an overpowering alcohol taste that ruined the flavor. As for the cheesecake, it was served without the advertised cherries and lacked the creamy mascarpone texture—it was just single cream instead. Overall, it was not the dining experience I had hoped for. There’s definitely room for improvement, especially when it comes to attention to detail and honoring reservations.

A very disappointing evening overall. My daughter’s chicken Katsu burger was good but the fish and chips were NOT good. The fish was dry and overcooked with a thin coating of batter, it looked unappealing and was dry and chewy. They did replace the fish when I explained the problem but unfortunately the replacement piece of fish looked equally unappealing with black bits of burnt batter on it, it was also overcooked and not enjoyable to eat. Sadly we will not be returning.
