The best restaurants serving Italian food in Yorkshire and The Humber

Fui a celebrar el cumpleaños de mi esposa. Invitamos a amigos y familiares a formar un grupo grande. Nadie en el grupo había estado en el restaurante antes, pero después de haber leído las críticas que esperaba con ansias la noche. No me decepcionó. Todos los que tenían el Cordero Marroquí dijeron cómo la carne se cayó del hueso. Debido al tamaño de la fiesta, las opciones de menú debían proporcionarse con unas 48 horas de antelación, pero esto no fue un problema. Las comidas fueron servidas puntualmente. Todos comentaron lo mucho que disfrutaron su comida. El personal era eficiente, servicial y amable. La comida era muy buena relación calidad-precio. Definitivamente volveré y estoy seguro de que otras personas del grupo estarían de acuerdo con esa decisión. Bien hecho a todos en La Palmera para una comida y una noche muy agradable.

Really fancied an Italian for a nice Saturday evening meal - there are quite a few offerings in York, but after a look around and a scan on TripAdvisor, decided to opt for this establishment - and we were not disappointed. Booked a table online and managed to get in with no issues at 1915hrs. Restaurant filled up so would definitely recommend booking to avoid disappointment. Starter I went for was the mushrooms as per photo - lovely and creamy, a GREAT option. Next up was the Calzone Diavolo - absolutely delicious. The crust was baked to perfection and came with a pot of Napoli sauce alongside, which was ideal for dipping. Very pleasant staff, came over to check up on us numerous times. Dessert choices fairly limited, but I think that is fairly standard with Italian restaurants across the board. A lovely double espresso rounded off the meal nicely. Lovely setting in an old building as you would expect in York. Recommended

Another brilliant trip for some delicious food. Went for the Pork Belly Bites Giant Taco and was not disappointed. Absolutely delicious and great chat/banter with Bruce. Highly recommend a visit

Gyros was nice but the place is not child friendly or adaptive. Asked for a child’s tuna sandwich which arrived, two plain slices of bread with dry tuna placed in the middle. No sauce or butter. Was shocked on paying to be charged £9 for this, and when questioned was told we COULD have had the full tuna sandwich on home made bread and side dish so that’s why it was still full price. Very over priced and not child friendly menu.

Went for a bottomless brunch at this cracking little spot. Amazing food, all made with super fresh ingredients. Some of the best pizza I've eaten in a long while. Gorgeous food & fantastic service. Great music as well! Definitely one of the best bottomless brunches I've experienced!

Simplemente la mejor comida italiana en Leeds y siempre la bienvenida más cálida! Había olvidado lo buena que es la comida en 2 Sardi, ya que esta fue nuestra primera visita desde que Lilliana y Antonio trasladaron el restaurante a Rawdon. Tuvimos una selección de entrantes que eran deliciosos y la pizza y la pasta principal eran fantásticos! La salsa de boloñesa es realmente la mejor en cualquier lugar! Gracias por una tarde maravillosa y no podemos esperar a volver!

Had an excellent meal. Waiter v helpful in explaining the food and portion sizes having seen some reviews commenting on this. Basically it’s Italian tapas with portion sizes bigger than Spanish tapas. We found that 1 dish each plus 1 vegetable dish and an artisan bread starter all to share between 3 of us was ideal. The venison and stone bass were particularly nice. All v relaxed. If you want more, you simply order more as you go along. Nice ambience and v good value for money and all a bit different compared to a traditional Italian restaurant. Would definitely recommend and hope to return soon.

We booked for the steak evening and we were not disappointed. A hidden gem of a place and definitely worth a visit. The food was faultless and the steak cooked to perfection. The dessert was stunning too. The staff attentive and friendly. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Had a great time at this little tapas bar in Stokesley. The food was wonderful and came out quickly, great selection of cocktails too and Tina was very heplful. Would definitely recommend an evening here.

Gios had been recommended to us so we decided to book in and give it a go. Soon as we walked in we were made to feel very welcome. A lovely authentic italian restaurant. Very big inside. As a family of 4 we had starters mains and deserts. The food was amazing and so tasty. We tried pasta and chicken dishes which were all superb. The puddings are also homemade. Staff are really helpful and attentive. I would highly recommend this place and will be rebooking. Gios is a 10/10.

Excellent five-course dinner (appetiser, starter, main, dessert, cheese). Fixed menu changes regularly (vegetarian alternatives available, though we didn't sample these). All dishes are inventive but without gimmicks. Good and reasonably priced wines to accompany. Friendly and helpful proprietors and staff. Lovely atmosphere, candle-lit and informal. Crockery as well as food is home-made. Thoroughy recommended.

Cracking stroke of luck, we spotted a parking space and this was just across the road. Homemade sauces and meatballs, all very tasty. Nice cake too. Friendly and helpful staff and nice coffee too.

I hadn’t booked and just turned up with my two kids. We decided to order takeaway and waited near a window covered in vapor while the food was being prepared. To pass the time, my kids started drawing hearts and smiley faces on the window, essentially just clearing the vapor. They were very well-behaved and doing absolutely nothing wrong—just keeping themselves entertained during the wait, which was a bit challenging for them. Then, a moody staff member approached and scolded them. It was completely unnecessary and felt incredibly petty. My kids weren’t being disruptive in any way, just drawing harmless little shapes to pass the time. The pizzas weren’t bad (though not particularly great either), but the way we were treated guarantees I won’t be returning. The staff clearly lack emotional intelligence and empathy when it comes to dealing with customers, especially families with children. Such a disappointing experience!
