The best restaurants serving Italian food in Broomhill Sheffield Yorkshire and The Humber

I’ve been here a few times and normally can’t recommend it more but had a disappointing experience tonight. It took nearly 40 minutes for us just to get our drinks and we had to ask for cutlery when our pizzas arrived. It was quite disappointing as it was supposed to be a celebration and we had prebooked a table.

We tend to come here for special occasions and it always is a special occasion! We actually prefer to go at lunchtime when it is fairly quiet and we get more personal service although service has been good even on a busy Saturday night. We like to relax and started with a glass of very good Prosecco while studying the menu (as usual served with a raspberry floating in it which is really nice). We shared a starter of crispy calamari which as always was the best we have had anywhere, tender and crisp. My partner decided to try out the filet steak and although it was good my roast lamb was definitely better. The lamb is usually served with mash but I prefer the rosemary and garlic potatoes and I wasn't disappointed. We had a good bottle of red wine to go with that. fortunately we had room for a dessert, I had the tiramisu while my partner had the raspberry semi freddo which is always very special. Finishing with espresso and complementary limoncello we were well satisfied. Now we can't wait for the next special occasion!

Really lovely food, nice service, food was adapted to our needs and taste. Hubby says they were the best profiteroles he'd ever had.
