This Restaurant has been going strong for near 4 decades; for all my adult life. My mother bought a house in the same year as this Restaurant opened, so I have always felt a special connection to it. It is part of the fabric of the Community of Penistone and I'd the first building you will see as you approach the turn off to Penistone's centre.its longevity speaks for itself. You are guaranteed tasty, quality food, prepared with care and you are guaranteed a warm welcome every time from the lovely people who work there. I noticed tonight that the owner taken on a particularly efficient and charismatic young man (whom i have also had the pleasure of being served byt at the fabulous Penistone Green Grocers; there is also a strong presence of the people who run things and an obvious pride and dignity about what the food they prepare.it is more than a taste of India...it is a taste of exactly how a business has been around for so long;a warm welcome every time because it is all about caring about and paying attention to people. I couldn't imagine Penistone without this landmark.

Fantastic restaurant, always very friendly staff and owner , the food is spot on , always answer any questions we ever asked re the dishes , never had to wait for the food to come , never had any bad food , use it at least 2/3 times a month , few beers across the road then a few more with the meal , very reasonable pricing too
