We choose Yarlbury Cottage after reading a review in the Telegraph as we like restaurants with rooms. We certainly were not disappointed. Charming place, great attention to details in rooms, cosy lounge and dog called Buster. The three course dinner plus amuse bouche was delicious, featuring lots of local ingredients and impressive wine list. We even managed the huge breakfast in the morning. All great value

We had an incredible incredible experience at Rubicon Kitchen! The "tide to table" concept really emphasizes the quality and freshness of the seafood, which is nothing short of incredible. The chef owner Olly and hes staff are very friendly and attentive and we cannot wait to go back very soon.

It was a treat to come here to celebrate my parents' wedding anniversary in our bubble. Chris made us very welcome from the start, and her warmth really added to the experience, The food is excellent (not surprising given the AA Rosette awarded in the first couple of months of opening), and of course the venue of Judge Jeffreys's courtroom is special. I'm already looking forward to coming back, whether for a full meal or coffee and cake. And the basil ice cream....

Seeing the 'A' board outside I spotted duck eggs on toast with black pudding and a date and apricot sauce. Sounded wonderful. What I actually got one egg on toast, not eggs, with black pudding and a dollop of brown sauce. Now maybe brown sauce has date and apricot in it but that's not what most people would expect. Rather disappointing. Having said that the people are very pleasant, the place itself fine, although prices a bit high. This café good be a gem in the heart of town with better advertising, and the new chef that's apparently coming. So keep an eye on it.
