Top quality pub with a great selection of beer and chairs. I love the chairs in particular they really do their jobs. If you’re looking for a great pub with good chairs then this is the place.

Arrived at pub after our hotel Restaurant let us down and really glad our hotel did , as we had the best sunday roast possible Everything cooked to perfection compliments to everyone The staff were very busy but had time for you and nothing was too much trouble Highly recommend this place to all

Lovely staff; cannot fault any of them at all. I hope they are all decently paid because they thoroughly deserve it. The food was really very good, beautifully cooked and nice-sized portions. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Our friends stayed at the hotel and were happy enough with it.

Exceptional. We booked a table of six for the Saturday before Christmas, so were expecting it to be a noisy, crowded affair. Imagine our surprise when we were given a room entirely to ourselves. Despite being upstairs the Staff were highly attentive and we never felt neglected. The food was sensational. Starters we fresh and light and really tasty. My wife described her Burger as the best she's ever had (and we've eaten in a lot of London "gourmet" burger places). My Steak Frite's were beautifully cooked and the rest of table loved their meals. The desserts were great as well. All of the staff we friendly, conversational and happy. We feel like we have found an absolute gem in the Anchor and will be sure to return again soon. Highly recommend!!! Edited to add 2nd review: Exceptional, again!. This was our second year visiting the weekend before Christmas for an early afternoon dinner. Every part of the meal was perfect. The staff were friendly, courteous and attentive. The restaurant fell warm and welcoming and not over crowded but best of all, the food was incredible. Cannot rate The Anchor highly enough and you can be sure we will be returning next year.!!

beautiful food based on quality ingredients and care and attention paid in the preparation - cant go anywhere else now! don't really want to give this review in ase they get too busy and we cant get in!
