The best restaurants serving Default food in Mayford and Sutton Green Woking South East

We hired Elm Nursery for the afternoon to host our two year olds' birthday party. She (and we) had the perfect time! It's such a great place for kids that age, very doable in two hours, and not expensive. Hiring it was very easy - great communication and a lovely space that was ours. Would definitely recommend for party hire in future!

Lovely place, super friendly staff, really good food and decent value for money. My colleague and I were very hungry after a busy day and the pub was very busy and the restaurant staff found us a table even though the restaurant was very busy. We hadn’t booked and their flexibility was amazing and we had a great meal and good time - thank you !

We discovered this pub about 2 years ago now. It's a lovely traditional pub and great food. The staff are friendly and always helpful. So much so that we asked if we could have my other half 50th there. It was a Sunday roast with cheese and biscuits, but I asked for a banquet style. They did not disappoint. Everyone (even the fussy ones..and you always get them) could not fault the food. They gave us the whole restaurant area as we had 34 people. Everything was beyond expectations. I came here yesterday for a quick lunch. I ordered the cod with cockles and it was cooked to perfection. Friendly bar staff also provided attentive service

Great for dog walk before pub lunch. Friends had pie of the day. (Proper pie. Pastry all around not pastry on top). I had Fish and great chips. Job done.

We enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch recently. Both of us had the chicken which was cooked perfectly. Roast potatoes nice and crispy and the Yorkshire was huge. (Way too big for me!) the vegetables was ok, but it would have been nice to have some cabbage or broccoli, but that’s just my taste. (We didn’t like the stuffing, sorry) Service was lovely! Thank you. If I could give one piece of advice, maybe choose larger plates for the roast as it was rather squashed and food fell off when trying to cut. Overall, a pleasant Sunday roast and we look forward to returning to try their weekday food. Thank you.

Currently running a limited menu due to staff shortages, and looking at other reviews it appears this might have been the case for some time. The offering was just a few cakes, a couple of choices of sandwich, or quiche. The quiche was just scrambled egg with some tomato in it (no cheese, cream, milk etc) no flavour and frankly inedible. The sandwiches were bland and overpriced. 2 stars given purely because I've been before and it has been good in the past, this visit really was a 1 star though - we left most of our food. Highly recommend not to visit here until they have their full staff count back.
