The best restaurants serving Default food in Charlbury and Finstock West Oxfordshire South East

Been here several times over the last 5 years when camping near Charlbury. Food and service are always excellent with a good section of beers and real ales. Usually call in for a light lunch, sandwich etc but have also had an evening meal. This time it was the prawn sandwich, posh fish finger sandwich (fillet if fish in tempura batter) and chips. Lovely traditional English pub. Nothing to fault.

Visited this fabulous pub 3 times over this last weekend with my fiancée. A busy, lovely place with space to sit inside and out for drinks and or food. On each occasion we were welcomed and attended to by staff with impeccable manners and with the highest levels of customer service we have seen in any bar or restaurant for a very long time. Good choice of drinks and a good menu with the usual staples but done very well. To say the staff go above and beyond does not do the effort they put in the justice it deserves. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or to visit again. Keep doing what you are doing as you are doing it well. Thank you for the hospitality over the weekend.

Had a fantastic breakfast perfect eggs and avocado on toast. The cappuccino was the real surprise though!...smooth, creamy, and just really well made. Such a nice find in the heart of Charlbury!

After a 3 year long quest to find the perfect country pub roast, we finally have a winner. The beef was cooked perfectly, with lots of flavour and the vegetables were fresh and nutrient dense. Nate? served us and he was a ray of sunshine, nothing was too much and we felt very welcome. We look forward to returning soon.

We were recommended this restaurant by friends who use it quite regularly. The booking process was simple and we received a warm welcome on our arrival. Really nice feel to the place and the staff were very friendly. Our team member (Kate A) explained the menu, portion sizes and advised us on popular choices. Absolutely spot on with her recommendations and we had a fabulous meal leaving us in no doubt we will be dining here again on our next Cotswolds break !

To be honest and Indian takeaway is always a bit hit and miss, but credit to Five ways for getting it spot on! Chicken Madras was full of flavour and not overpowering with heat. Arrived quickly and large portions all for a very reasonable price. Well done 👍
