Apologies, as this is more a review of a review. I was aghast at the revew left by Lindsey who is obviously a tricky person. We all dread these types entering our restaurants! I have been to the Winning Post 3 times since my review as friends of mine moved to Ascot and I highly recommend the pub. The bookings were in their names after I enthused they MUST try the food. You really have perfected the blend of fantastic REAL home made food from your amazing chefs , great ambience, fabulous staff. I came two lunches and one dinner, all tables of four who live in the area so I expect they will spread the word. Simon, well done. Forget the manky review from a Windsor estate!

Our 1st visit to Don Beni's Winkfield restaurant. Heard a lot about it over the years, so finally visited for an early dinner Sunday. It's a sweet restaurant, nice décor, very friendly staff. Good variety on the menu, pizzas were excellent, Moretti on draught. We will definitely return soon. Highly recommend.

It's a great café - BUT today is now the FOURTH time we have been to get a coffee - going by their supposed opening / closing time and yet again, we arrive at 16.10 to find the same old chair blocking the entrance telling guests 'we are now closed' despite there being twenty minutes until their published closing time! Change your published opening / closing times if you can't be bothered to work until you are supposed to and have the decency to stop people wasting their time driving to you for no good reason!

I haven’t been to The Cricketers since the New Management took over from Stuart. I would like to say good things about the place but unfortunately this is just not the case. The Pub is extremely tired and run down. The staff are very helpful but the seating in the restaurant is just awful. Rips and tears, the tables are worn down and grubby and the toilets well I don’t think I even want to explain how disgusting they are. This used to be a great place and I would be a regular visitor but it has gone down hill and unfortunately I will not be returning.

We had a truly delightful experience on Easter Monday. We called prior to arrival and were made feel very welcome: the kitchen would only open in about 45mins but we could have drinks while waiting. The place is lovingly presented and well kept. The team is hard working, they do their best and truly care. The food is delicious and calling us back yet we live an hour away. My husband had lamb and was impressed. I was apprehensive about my bouillabaisse but it was just perfect. Our son had a burger, so much better than in places we dined around the last few days. The deserts are tremendous, we kept sharing and chatting about them, all exited. We had Eton Mess and The White Choc Smth, a great take on a sticky pudding. Very good value for money and positively unforgettable. When we are back, this is the first place we’d visit. Thanks the team again!

I was recommended The White Hart by a friend who praised its traditional, home-cooked food and the warm, inviting atmosphere of a classic country pub. Finding such a gem these days is rare, so I was delighted to step inside and discover that it was exactly as described. For my meal, I chose the Lamb Liver and Bacon with Mash, a dish that instantly transported me back to my late grandmother’s kitchen. It was beautifully prepared, rich in flavour, and full of comforting nostalgia—a true taste of home. The charm of The White Hart extends beyond its food; the cosy interior exudes character, and the pub’s garden looks like the perfect spot to relax when the weather is warm and inviting. I will certainly be returning, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a traditional pub experience with fantastic food.

Disappointing. Asked for vegan sausage roll as displayed, none available. No other vegan options at all. Had a sweet potato, feta and spinach pie instead, absolutely no spinach, advised the staff who told me “that’s what’s come from the bakery I can’t open every one to see if there is any spinach in them”. Fire alarm screaming for ages, advised that there was a fault but it wasn’t cleared because of preparation of food. Cheese toasty so hard it could not be cut with a knife and greasy, not good. Such a shame as the ethos was promising.
