Called in on a dog walk last night and happened to be our anniversary too. What a lovely place. Great front of house staff, fantastic food, great atmosphere and reasonable prices. Sat outside on the terrace as we had the dogs. Haven’t been in years, around 15 years to be precise. Never went back as I thought it was overrated. Not now!!! Fantastic and will definitely be going back soon.

Must have changed hands from last visit such a shame ,to be given a Latte straight from a packet and be told that a Flat White is just a spoon of coffee with milk and sugar . Asked about the coffee machine only to be told we can’t plug a coffee machine in something to do with the electrics ,found that rather odd we usually buy two drinks each and cake it’s lovely to see these little cafe when your out walking and give them your support but sadly I’m not paying for a packet latte.

Really lovely staff, very friendly. Food was perfect pub grub and they didn't hold back on the portion sizes! We got the chicken burger and the beef burger and they were both massive and spot on, asked if we could have chips instead of fries and they did it no problem and so worth it, the chips were unreal. Shared an Eton mess for dessert which was lovely and refreshing, especially in this weather! Highly recommend!

Always great service and food. Debs and Sharon go above and beyond to look after my Mum and I. They are so friendly so we come back every week because of this.

Called in today after walking the canal spotlessly clean, friendly staff, not a massive menu but food excellent, fish and chips fab and the homemade lasagne was equally good, I thoroughly recommend

Came here a few months ago and the food was not great. Thought I would give it another go but I will not be back again! Food was below average and barely warm. Cheap but certainly not cheerful!
