The best restaurants serving Default food in Brindle and Hoghton Chorley North West

Fabulous fish & chips. Cooked beautifully and served in the little restaurant in front of the cooking range. We've been a few times now, and usually call in on our visits to Preston. Hoghton is about 3 miles South of said city. The food is always piping hot, the fish fried to perfection and the chips delicious with no evidence of fat or oil. Even the mushy peas beat all others. I've eaten F&C all over this land, even in such celebrated places as Whitby's "Magpie", and have never tasted any like Gregson Lane's. It's run by a brother and sister, who are the most pleasant chippy owners I've ever encountered. Oh, and their prices are VERY reasonable!

Great food and service. Waited a little while for drinks and food but it was really busy (so good atmosphere) and gave me and my friends lots of chance to catch up on gossip. Will definitely come again.

Fantastic food. Went at christmas definitely recommend.

Booked at short notice as travelling in the area. All good eaten was delicious. We chose pizza, risotto and pastas. Will will return when next in the area.

Popped in for a drink and snacks after a walk. Dog friendly, cosy pub and food was lovely. Will definitely visit again

£20 for a Sunday Roast which is good value for money, however the meal wasn’t great, everything luke warm, carrot and swede mash was good just a touch cold, roast potatoes EXCELLENT, Gravy again just warm, cauliflower ok again warm, beef was cooked pink which was lovely but a bit tasteless :( service was very good indeed - I will try this again in the future and hope that the meal is a touch better.

We visited as a family group for a special birthday afternoon tea and it was fabulous! The staff were brilliant, special requests noted, always attentive, they got it just right. The food was absolutely delicious, there was plenty of it, all spot on. Good value, we couldn't finish it all so they provided the bags to take it home. Special shout out for the scones, so light and still warm from the oven! Would definitely come again and highly recommend for a relaxed atmosphere is a beautiful setting.

Always quality food and service The 3 courses for 20 pound is always a winner and the staff are very good and the pub is perfect for all occasions

We were at a family wedding here yesterday. The venue, the food but particularly the service & the staff attitude and attentiveness were absolutely perfect 😍 I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of a wedding venue. It couldn't have been better 😊
