We have visited this pub many times and it’s always been very nice. This time however wasn’t so good. The Staff and Landlady are friendly, the same can’t be said about some of the locals. The Pub wasn’t very busy when we arrived, but just after, more people started arriving. My Wife, Daughter and I were eating our meals, when it would seem we were apparently sitting at a local’s table and he started to grumble and swear and in fairness the Landlady put him straight; (there was nowhere for his dogs)! However, the Pub doesn’t really cater for allergies, such as gluten allergies; it’s either chilli, or jacket potatoes. We ate our food and left, don’t think we’ll be returning.

My friends and I came yesterday evening, I don’t normally write reviews but I was shocked at the standard of the cocktails that I thought I would. I’ll state first that everything else such as the service, was excellent and our food was served promptly. To the management/owners of the Globe Inn, do you think that £10 is the appropriate price for a glass of tepid pre mixed mojito with a few cubes of ice put in? (As pictured) I would’ve been happy, as the £10 I could’ve maybe justified if there was a bit of garnish on the drink to separate it more to feeling like I was just drinking something I’d just spent £1.50 on in the local shop.

We were going to a party nearby and opted to stay over at The Bull, for a Village Pub with rooms, it is very clean and comfortable with ample parking. The staff in the pub were warm and welcoming, the “on site chip shop” meant we could have a quick bite before heading to the party and they kindly ordered a cab and provided the number to contact for the cab back. Breakfast was very good and served with a smile. This is just what it says on the tin, with the addition of friendly staff.
