The best restaurants serving Default food in Chelmsford Rural West Chelmsford East of England

Came here for a family meal for 6, make sure you book a table in advance. Really lovely atmosphere, great food, fantastic service with friendly staff. Can’t wait to come back again!

Visited valentines times day and it was the best service food and atmosphere is second to none and I cant wait to return sad to see it is up for sale and hoping when it sells they can continue this

I've wanted to go to this pub for ages. The reason being it was Keith flints pub. I was absolutely made up that I've photos of me outside which I'll frame. I do live far away so this has made my year being a big fan. I went inside and it was not what I expected. To be honest it has some nice charm to it. A real nice country pub. Prices are reasonable and the bar staff very friendly. I would recommend and would love to go back again.

My daughter ordered the Nourishment bowl (VE, GF) quinoa, gochujang-roasted tenderstem broccoli, pulled shiitake mushrooms, pomegranate, £10.75 When it arrived it by no means met the description it was largly composed of baby gem lettuce, deep fried mushrooms and massacered halloumi with about 4 to 5 pomegranate seeds. The chap who brought it to her asked if she would like more halloumi and when that arrived there were about 4-5 pieces that we were charged an extra £4.50 for. It was called a noutishment bowl but it had deep fried elements to it, this was not mentioned. My daughter did not wish to complain at the time as we were supposed to be celebrating an occasion. My husband enjoyed his meal or the rating would have been less. I had to settle for a second choise as the haddock was not availaable despite being told it was the seabass that was not available. I will not be going back!!! I have counted over 30 pubs on the company site so I would expect that total to have more than 250 employees, but there were no calorie counts on the menus. I suggest these be reviewed.

Had dads wake here, very good food also catered for vegans in the family.Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff. I would recommend it to all.
